Rating: Summary: I loved this book Review: I really liked the wording of this book. The plot thickened as the story went on and i just loved the fact that the idea of homeless lawyer was thrown in considering i was homeless less than a year ago.
Rating: Summary: If you read it, it helps you to think on other people. Review: Its quiet interesting to read it. A Non stop lecture. It helps you to put your feets on the floor. What is it the main thing that you wanna do in your life? work, work and work a lot or try to put yourself not 'in the pole position'. Thing in and help others; others that probably need from and more than you.
Rating: Summary: Not my favorite Review: I am only 15 but I have read almost all of JG's books and I dont feel this is one of his best. I think this one was not very likeable for me because is it not likely that a high profile lawyer would give up all he is getting for a low paying job working for the homeless. I believe this is not even close to as good as "The Rainmaker."
Rating: Summary: Interesting and Boring all in One Review: WOW. This book is amazing and horrible in a swirl of comments. The plot was amazing but the wording could have been better from a three year old. And thats all i got to say about that
Rating: Summary: Intense and trilling Review: Everyone who is slamming this book, i got two words for you. From the reading the first word of the book to the last, i was always excited to read it. I never wanted to put it down, even though it was for summer reading. Everyone that posted stuff saying that this book was bad must really not understand what good literature is
Rating: Summary: Don't tell me how to vote! Review: I read the first Grisham's books and I found them very interesting and exciting - except "The chamber" -. However this one is only a long and quite boring sermon about the "bad" richness and against the conservative party. I think that when I read a book, I want to have a good time and I don't want that someone tells me how to vote!
Rating: Summary: Best Yet, No matter what everyone else says!!! Review: I cannot believe the amount of people who have dispaired this book. I LOVED it. I have read every single Grisham book. The only time I've ever been disappointed was when they were turned into movies with incredibly poor acting/directing! For those of you Grisham fans out there--don't look this one over. It will make you FEEL, and may even change the way you think about life. For you first-timers, dig in and see how good Grisham really is. (It gives "A Time to Kill" a run for its money). ~~Tammy~~
Rating: Summary: This is a Fantastic Book To Read!! Review: I would recommend every lawyer to read this book. It should be a requirement for lawyers to read as they are getting their law degree. It is amazing how the homeless people have so many needs other than food and shelter. Most of today's lawyers' would put their nose up to helping a homeless individual. I like how the book ended with the big law firm getting involved with the homeless legal needs. I bought John Grisham's Testament and I am looking forward to reading this book!
Rating: Summary: A long, amusing lecture Review: This book proves that Grisham could write any type of novel,he has written about Mobs,a trial with millions of dollars at stake & Murders, now he writes about the homeless. He is the master of thriller & suspence. But he is also a good lecturer whose language is amazingly gripping, I Loved it.
Rating: Summary: Disappointing - not as suspenseful as usual Review: I found the premise to be faulty and the treatment of the family to be superficial. The story pretended to explore some issues but this felt like a book written in haste.
