Summary: Bad plan...
Review: I was on this diet for three days and followed the recommendations strictly. In spite of the author's claims, I was constantly hungry, and after the first day, also sick to my stomach. I can't recommend this diet.

Summary: 14 days is one thing...but for the rest of my life GET REAL!
Review: My husband and I tried this diet for 6 days. We both lost weight, and that is a nice bonus for those who NEED to see quick results. However, for someone that does not like a lot of eggs or meat this diet is too restrictive. Not that it would matter for 2 weeks, but he mentions throughout the book that this is a life time change, and it pretty much eliminates grains, and fruits and vegetables from your diet for life. I can't see how this can be heathly. Not only that but he mentions taking SO MANY vitamins, yet he is not specific about what people should be taking and why. I can't see how this isn't dangerous and more people aren't getting sick from not having enough nutrients. In closing I'd just like to say, that by eating a well balanced diet, eating anything I want but in moderation, and an exersise plan helped me lose more weight and feel better. I am never deprived of any food, and so there is no "wagon" to fall off of. I think it is very scary that a "Dr." would berate a balanced diet and be so self absorbed with all the "millions" of people he claims to help.NOT WORTH MY MONEY!Anyone else think this too? I would love to hear from you.

Summary: its changed how i see myself and my fat problem.
Review: I was 270 one year ago, im now below 200 and on my way to my goal weight. i keep a picture of myself before the weight loss to show people,and they would never guess it was me. i get alot of negitive remarks from people who dont fully know the diet or how it feels to be so overweight i have found what works for me and ill eat this way forever. i want to be beatifull just like everyone else ,inside and out god does the inside and this does the outside. so if you meet me or someone else on this diet encourage dont discourage someone who tries to better themselves.

Summary: Easiest diet I've ever tried!!!
Review: I have tried many things to lose weight, but this is the easiest yet!!I don't even feel like I'm on a diet and I have more energy too. I have lost approximately 40 pounds in six months and lost two clothing sizes. It's wonderful!!!

Summary: The book gave me hope the diet gave me hunger pains
Review: I read this book in its entirety in a couple of hours...it gave me hope and courage...The testimonials were just what I needed to believe..then I started the diet...I don't think that anyone realizes that carbohydrates are in everything that we eat except for meat and chicken. I got terrible headaches, stomach pains and couldn't think because I was so hungry...if you can do this diet God Bless you...do yourself a favor though...make sure your doctor knows that you are on it so that he knows how to help you when you get rushed to the hospital

Summary: Great diet, Great results!!
Review: I lost ten lbs in two weeks without feeling deprived. I am A positive & had great success so I think that blood type has little if any thing to do with it. I've stuck with low carb since last Summer and I am still thrilled. I don't get the afternoon energy dives & my skin & hair look better than they have in years. I know alot of people who are trying Atkins & NONE of them have had health problems as a result. Just the opposite: heartburn disappears, more energy, ect. Infact, alot of doctors are realizing it's the best & most natural way to eat, instead of processed flour & sugar which are the real culprits in heart disease, cancer, and obesity. Try it for yourself & see! It's fun to see your fat disappear & your muscles toning up with less effort. I can't recommend this book enough. .

Summary: Very helpful
Review: Dr. Atkins' "New Diet Revolution" is a fair and acheivable diet. The book is written well and easy to follow. I highly recommend it for anyone wanting to lose 10 or more pounds in a short period of time. The book initially takes you through the diet's evolution, then to the diet itself and finally the closing chapters or maintenance after the weight lose begins. What I liked best about the book was the fact that you did not have to read the entire book to get started on the diet. It works, give it a try if you are tired of everything else that did not work for you.

Summary: It's woriked for 2 friends but not me
Review: I have been on this diet for 5 days and have not lost a pound. I think it is great that all these people are losing weight. I have not cheated at all.I eat 3 eggs for breakfast, a salad for lunch, and a steak for dinner.I also drink 64 oz of water a day. I am wondering if the blood type does matter. Alot of people keep on saying if you are A or AB it is not going to work for you. I am A positive.

Summary: I feel like I've been reborn.
Review: Dr. Atkins diet is simple wonderful. You absolutely should read the book first before beginning the diet. Also try to keep your carbohydrate intake as low as possible. The vitamins Dr. Atkins recommends are very costly but; you can purchase Dr. Atkins vitamins through www.vitaminshoppe.com at a 20% discount. I'm a new women. I still have a large amount of weight to lose but; I feel confident that I will accomplish my goal. I welcome any extra tips from other Dr. Atkins dieters. Good luck too all.
