Rating: Summary: Great new trilogy! Review: If you liked the Three Sisters trilogy you are going to love this book! It's the first of the Key series, which introduces the characters & plot. So it's a little predictable, but getting there is very enjoyable!
Rating: Summary: Sorry Nora, I'm a big fan but... Review: frankly, dear readers, I should warn you...new readers may like it, I found it trite and the most boring Roberts book I have ever read. Sorry to be brutal Nora, sincerely sick of the "supernatural" bunk, the three sisters/brothers formula, and you are writing like the hack Steele lately.I know deadlines are a killer--but Nora, what happened to your great imagination??? Go back to re-reading some of your earlier work...you had it right back then. Witches/wizards/faeries/blah blah blah I think. Apparently, you are giving into your publishers??? demand to use the Lord's name in vain...and you see nothing wrong with it Can't you be a little bit more assertive and think of more original phrases??? Lj--sorry got the second for Xmas, will read, but do not expect a miracle.
Rating: Summary: Nora Roberts Fan Review: I have read the first two of the three "Key" books and have enjoyed them immensely. I am anxiously awaiting the third one! As one reader said earlier, "She's back!" I agree. I have been somewhat disappointed by some of the books coming from Nora Roberts lately. They were still good, but not up to par with her older stuff. Particularly my all time favorite "The Reef". However, the "Key" trilogy delivers. My only disappointment is I feel that each of the books ends a little too quickly. I would have liked to have seen a little more meat at the end of each book. Then again maybe that just speaks well of the characters, and the fact that I wasn't ready to leave their story yet. Either way, a true Nora Roberts fan will enjoy these immensely. Hey, Nora, how about a sequel to "The Reef"? P.S. I have to disagree with a former reviewer. The "Three Sisters" trilogy is GREAT!
Rating: Summary: GREAT BEGINNING Review: THIS BOOK IS AN AWESOME BEGINNING TO WHAT IS SURE TO BE AN INCREDIBLE TRILOGY. I LOVE NORA ROBERTS AND HAVE READ MOST OF HER BOOKS, AND I THINK SHE JUST KEEPS GREATING BETTER AND BETTER. THIS STORY IS A GREAT COMBINATION OF ROMANCE, SUSPENSE, AND ALOT OF MYSTERY. SHE KNOWS A LOT ABOUT WICCA AND I HAVE NOTICED SHE IS USING IT IN MORE OF HER BOOKS, I THINK ITS GREAT TO FIND A WRITER WITH THAT KIND OF OPEN-MINDED WRITING ABILITY. INCREDIBLE READ.
Rating: Summary: One of the best books I've ever read Review: I don't have much time to read, so when I do sit down with a book, I like it to be a good one. I was not disappointed with "Key of Light" by Nora Roberts. I asked for "Key of Light" for Christmas and after dinner when everybody was relaxing, I picked up the book with the intention of just reading a little bit. The book immediately drew me in and I ended up reading long after everybody had gone to bed. I couldn't put it down! The book was so good that I went out first thing the next morning and bought the second book. This book had intrigue, romance, sex, wisdom, mystery, fantasy, good vs evil... Not to mention a surprise twist... a little bit of just about everything! I bought copies of this that I am sending to my family members so they can also enjoy it. I just can't say enough good things about it!! Definitely one of the best books I've ever read in my life.
Rating: Summary: Key of Light Review: Nora Roberts has defenitly hit on another outstanding trilogy. In the first boook, Key Of Light, she tells the tale of Malory Price and the Quest she is destined to take. With the help of her new friends, Dana Steele and Zoe McCourt, she has 28 days to find a mythical key that will unlock the souls of the Daughters Of Glass. Along the way she will find love with handsome Flynn Hennesey. And do battle with an evil god named Kane. Nora is a true master of storytelling and I highly recommend this book for anyone who is looking for a GREAT read!
Rating: Summary: Don't bother reading this -- you probably already have! Review: Sorry, but this trilogy is no different from others Nora has written. In fact, if you read Three Sisters, then you pretty much already have read the same basic story as this put forth in this book. I'm not sure where all this "wit" other reviewers are speaking of comes from, I didn't think the dialog was that engaging. I love Nora Roberts, but over the last two years her books have become predictable, formulaic, boring. She's a great author who needs to slow down output to write a unique novel. Or doesn't that fit the current business model?
Rating: Summary: Roberts proves why she's considered the best there is.... Review: The Key series is another fabulous trilogy by Roberts. She returns to the supernatural and takes us into the story where 3 women must find 3 "keys" to release the souls of 3 demi-goddesses. I couldn't put it down. And I'm eagerly awaiting the completion of the trilogy.
Rating: Summary: I'm sorry Review: I really do like Nora Robert's books and I love the JD Robb series, but I could not get into this book. I've read fantasy books before, I've read books like Laurell K. Hamilton and Kelley Armstrong, so nothing is too far fetched for me to read. But I tried and tried and very soon lost interest in this book. There was nothing that kept my interest, kept me wanting to read to find out how it ended and there was nothing in this first book that sparked the desire to read the next two in the series. I'm sorry, but this was not one that I would recommend.
Rating: Summary: Nora Roberts at her best Review: I absolutely loved this book! Nora Roberts once again gives us a story that absolutely grabs and pulls at you. Once you start to read, it's hard to put the book down. The book does read a lot like the Three Sisters Island trilogy but you can't deny that those books weren't fabulous either. Anyone who loves mystery, romance, and danger all rolled into one should definitely give this book as well as the series a try.
