Summary: Pulp Christian Fiction
Review: This latest installment of the "Left Behind" series has revitalized my interest in this story. Predictibility was the hallmark of some of the earlier novels, but "Desecration" has place the punch back into this Christian based series.

In my opinion, killing off main characters is refreshing to the story line. Many times as not, writers that place too much of the happenings into one character find out too late that there are limitations to that characters growth. Lahaye and Jenkins refresh the cast often enough to let the characters that have been there since the beginning show some of their old armor chinks as well as some of their foibles.

I look forward to the next book in this series.

Summary: 5 more books left..
Review: I recieved this book as a gift the day it came out. I didn't start reading it until months later. two days ago in fact.. and I have 70 pages left, so you may think this review immature. Frankly, I find this series boring, and each book a re-hash of the same plot over and over.. someone in the Force is killed, and new characters are introduced, while Carpathia advances in the stages of biblical prophesy. Theologically, and realistically, this series is so unbelievable. Honestly, When I read this, I can't imagine HOW, especially when talking about the community and their gullibility, and the acts of Carpathia. The writing style seems poor and descriptions are shallow. I am tired of this series, yet of course will finish it.. but not necessarily by my own will. I have read from MANY that the Christ Clone Trilogy is far better theologically, militaristically, politically, and technologically.

Summary: Desecration- Anti-Christ takes the throne
Review: This is a wonderful book. When you read it,u realize that this is a time period that is yet to come. You realize how good God is, and how much you can trust him. It was really good, and it's a book that you just do not want to put down. As you read it, it keeps you on the verge of your seat, and just when you think the soultuion or resolve is coming, it switches to yet another character. (You have to read the book to understand.)
I think the whole series is incredible. At the end, well I won't spoil it, but the last words you here are from Carpathia, and you just can't wait to see what God will do for the Jews next. But I turned the page, and it ends with Revelations 12:12. I'm not satisified yet, as soon as the new book comes out, in Summer 2002, you can count me to be one of the first to read. Incredible series! Jerry B. Jenkins, and Tim LaHaye know how to write a book.

Summary: Intriguing - but not up to par
Review: Well, I have to say that this book was somewhat of a disappointment. The Left Behind series is EXCELLENT, but this latest book leaves a lot to be desired. There was simply too large of an imbalance between the preaching/theological mumbo-jumbo and the plot/characters. Practically NOTHING happens in the plot which makes for a slow read. As I love this series, I sincerely encourage the authors to return to the style of the previous books and continue with the STORY!!

Summary: good easy reading
Review: I like this series for the escapism, adventure and suspense it provides. I whizzed through this one and enjoyed it...despite the mispelled words, obtuse phrasing and at times unbelieveable plots. Nobody can capture the evil that AntiChrist will embody, so I can forgive some of the less-than-believeable things they portray him doing. Still, I anxiously await the next in the series, I am hooked! I would recommend it.

Summary: ADD ME TO THE LIST
Review: Add me to the list of people who think the Christ Clone Trilogy is greatly superior to the Left Behind series. I still like Left Behind and I'll buy and read the rest of the series, whether there's 12 or 18 books because I'm interested in the characters, but for explaining prophecy, Revelation, the tribulation, and everything else about the end times and for telling a story that seems really real, the Christ Clone Trilogy does a better job, hands down!

Summary: Jesus is going to get you!
Review: Words cannot describe my love for Lahaye's series! Finally there's an author that isn't afraid to tell Mooslims, Jews, Catholics/Satanists, and homosexuals what our loving Baptist God will do to them for not choosing the right beliefs and religion! Buy plenty and share with a friend! If you really love them, you would want them to know about how God will destroy them and torture their sinful flesh in the Hell while all us good Christians party in our heavenly mansions. Praise Jesus!

Summary: Left Behind #9
Review: It was a little better than #8. It kept my interest and had enough to want you to keep reading. I think they should give you a little more for your money. The size of the print is large and double spaced, wide margins, with numerous blank areas and pages throughout the book. I understand that the series is supposed to go to 12 books. But, why not make it 10 and charge a couple of dollars more. They have us hooked and are reeling us in.

Summary: While I wait
Review: I really truly enjoyed this book and the eight before it. My niece and sister got me into the audio tapes of the left behind series. I was so interested in what was going to happen next I could not wait for the audio on book 9, so I bought the book and could not put it down. I finished the book so fast I wanted more, so I started on the Kid's left behind series. I am now waiting patiently for the Kid's 19 & 20 and I am patiently waiting for The adult # 10. In closing I just want to say that I have read other reviews and I don't understand what type of people are writing these reviews, but I thank you for putting their opinion out there bad and good. Brenda waiting for the next one. :-)
