Summary: Looking for a Christian novel that won'y insult your IQ?
Review: Why do they always have to make it seem simple? Why are the chareacters always so boring? Why do they always make it seem like morality suddenly becomes black and white? Why do they always seem like they are written for fifth graders? Why are
Christian novels so BAD? If you've asked yourself these questions, buy We All Fall Down. Smart, funny, and totally engrossing, this is the best novel about Christianity that I've ever read.

Summary: MUST read for Christians & non-Christians alike!
Review: Great book series! Also check out the Christ Clone Trilogy. But I like Left Behind better.

Summary: Plodding plot plods on
Review: I was disappointed in this book. Throughtout the series, I've found the authors' interpretation of the end time, as revealed in Revelation and Daniel, quite interesting. It's one of the things that has kept me reading these books, especially since I've never really made up my mind about the timing of the Rapture. I must agree, however, with many of the other reviewers of this book that it's not on a par with earlier books in the series. The dialog doesn't zing. The plot draaaaaaaaaaags. The bad guy, now the vessel that hosts the devil, isn't anywhere near as underhanded, cunning or slimy as he was in the earlier books. Too many narrow escapes. Too many jets and airplanes. Too much flat dialog.

In comparison to the early books in the series, this one just isn't good enough for me to ignore the really stupid mistakes the authors consistently make with regards to science and technology. (E.g., electricity in the urban ruin of Chicago??? Helicopters in the hollow ventilation space of a skyscraper???) I will probably continue to read the series since I find their end times interpretation intriging. Very little else, however, is interesting anymore.

Summary: To easy here....
Review: Another incredible book, go figure. I continue to be intrigued by these books and impatiently await the next.

Summary: Still Going Strong
Review: I have to say that these guys keep going strong. I will admit that there were a couple of parts that were slightly silly, but overall, this book is still fantastic! I must say in response to a couple of other reviews, that the theology is correct and you have to remember that this is FICTION, BASED on fact. As far as making money goes, these guys new they were going to make a series of 12 books before they were ever popular. I highly doubt that money is their main goal.
These are wonderful books. They are scripturally accurate and they are a healthy form of entertainment. I read the first 7 in the series in 2 weeks, and everytime a new one comes out, I read it in about 1 or 2 days.....and I am not a reader. I love these books and would highly reccomend them.

Summary: I'd give it a (minus) 5 star if I could
Review: Another bad book based on bad theology. I wish I could give a minus rating to all of these author's books. Just say no.

Summary: Another Riveting Read!!!
Review: I LOVE these books, you simply don't get any better (sorry Frank Peretti you were #1 until these books). These are the books to inspire you to walk closer to the Lord, a book to walk you through all the possibilities of the book of Revelation and end times doctrine. Again - they don't get much better written than this.

Summary: The Anti-Christ is stronger than ever...
Review: This book did not pack as much oomph as the others. For some reason, it just didn't hold my interest as tightly as the rest of the series. Still, it is intense, taking up where book number eight left off. Nicolae Carpathia has taken the throne, and defiled the altar of Christ. The Tribulation Force gains ground in this one, and you find yourself cheering them on as they fight against impossible odds against Satan himself. I was pleased to see a bit more of the handiwork of God in this book, as this is what has made the series so incredibly faith renewing for me. Occasionally you get a feel of unreality, as Nicolae's staff responds to him even when he is beginning to make himself look suspicious, but the author doesn't run away with that, it remains contained and doesn't quite cross the edge into unbelievable. In this one, it is time for all to choose, either the Mark of the Beast or God, and there will be no exceptions. This furthers the atmosphere of impossible odds for the Tribulation Force. My biggest complaint is the length of time between books, since by the time this one came out, I'd forgotten where the last one had left off. The book could stand on it's own though, and that makes every minute you spend reading it worth it. You may find some prophecy here as well that relates to our current times, making the overall story even more frightening.

Silence: The Seventh Seal Is Opened (Left Behind #583)

Summary: The heroes of the first 582 Left Behind books return to sit on their fannies and wait for the half-hour of silence in Heaven to pass (Rev. 8:1), only to realize with growing dread that the authors that control their existence will not let them ever reach Paradise so long as there's money to be made writing stupid books.

Summary: Shallow and Tedious
Review: I don't want to discourage people from reading Christian literature but, honestly, this stuff is shallow and tedious. I enjoyed the previous books much better. Now it just seems that he is going through the motions with shallow, meaningless dialog, trite phrases. Sorry but I'd have to pass on this one. Maybe the author is tired of it -- I certainly am. I dispair and can't finish it. I put it back on the shelf.
