Rating: Summary: I finished it in a day...one of the best. Review: Of the "Left Behind" series, this is one of the best, so far. Increasingly, the supernatural nature of this conflict is being revealed. The power of God, in the face of the evil fury of the Anti-Christ, stirs the imagination of the believer. Most of the action occurs in the Middle East, God's timepiece for the last days. The story is action-packed and fast-moving. Though the story line is well-known to most believers, the authors keep you on the edge of your seat through unexpected twists and turns. Just when there appears to be no way out of trouble for the children of Israel, Michael the archangel to the rescue! The bowl judgements really had me cheering for the good guys! More and more, this ultimate drama between good and evil is shifting toward the heavenly realms where the true conflict will be resolved. Gotta love this one...
Rating: Summary: oh, no. Review: Very poorly written. This series should have been limited to about three books.
Rating: Summary: Lover of the Left Behind series Review: I thought this book was one of the best I think as the books go on they get better and better. I have read all the books in the series in less then 6 months and I can't put them down. I can't wait until the 10 book comes out until then I have to find other books to read. But I recomend this book to anyone who believes in God. The books shows I think how life is going to be and shows us that we should change or ways before Jesus does come back that way if you do believe in him with all your heart you do not have to worry about the comming of crist. I give this book two thumbs up just like all the rest of his books.
Rating: Summary: amazing! !!! Review: dont anyone listen to what others are saying bout how this book {stink}. if you think its soo bad, why did you read up to #9 ppl? you coulda put it down after #1, couldnt you? and all those ppl who think the grammar's bad. puh-lease. on your reviews, you put 'you should read ... its more better.' ya, very correct grammar, eh? if you think its soo bad, write a series yourself! this book [along with the others in the series] are amazing. they give you a view of what the tribulation period will be like [not that you should take everything from there, its just fiction after all] and as for character development, its realistic. they dont give too much about the past, and they make the characters real. ok, so its weird that chloe would be wanting to go on missions when her babys at home, but wouldnt you be like that in her place? with her personality [wild and stuff]? the authors are only taking from how ppl act. this is an amazing book! you absolutely must read the series! it will totally impact you [in a positive way.]
Rating: Summary: I am hooked Review: I am not big into these 'End of Times' books, but started on this series and now I am hooked. I think some folks take all this a little to seriously, but the stories are fun entertaining reads, you don't have to be a christian. My reading tastes are thrillers and adventures and these books fit the bill. Anyway I received an advance copy of "Remnant" through a friend in the publishing industry and it follows in the tradition of the previous books. You Fans will be Happy. Also recommended: 'Tourist in the Yucatan' Good cult thriller!
Rating: Summary: Worth checking out Review: I enjoyed Desecration. This is the tenth book in the Left Behind series, and if you have followed the series and enjoyed it, then this book will not disappoint you. If you have not read the rest of the series, then don't get this book until you have. This book of the series was an improvement over the last couple of books. While it does not have the action or excitement of the first several books, it did better than the last three. There were several character developments that you don't want to miss. Chaim comes into his own in a way that I did not suspect. Of course, I didn't expect him to do a certain thing to Carpathia either a couple books ago. :) We also lose a couple of long time characters. One in dramatic fashion, which also highlighted the vast change in some of the characters as they have grown in Christ. We also get some exciting miracles which help us to connect the plot development of the series with Revelation in the bible. The miracles include some serious visits by a couple of angels, which help to highlight how rebellious the followers of the anti-christ are. As usual, the series is all about the series so you can expect that you will be left wanting more, and so I am off to the library to get book 10.
Rating: Summary: Waiting on the edge of my seat! Review: My mother happened apon these books almost by accident because my father and I were out of reading material. We had no idea what to expect so we dug in. After my father completed the first book, he told me I must read it, and I did. We didn't find the series until the 5th book had already been released and we were done with all 5 within 2 weeks! I have always loved reading, but I have never read a book that kept me that interested. I would stay up to all hours of the night because I had to know what happens next. I highly recommend you all read this series ... because if a series can keep me attatched for 4 years at my age (22) it can't be a [bad deal]. I wish there were going to be more than 12 books in the series. I don't want it to end!!!
Rating: Summary: No longer an advocate Review: I'm fed up with the blatant attempt to milk the market for every dollar this story can wring. It's plain wrong to use a spiritual subject like this to reap gratuitous award, and I refuse to be exploited further. In the midst of all these books, I read a great novel recommended by the author Clive Cussler, which I will pass on to anyone interested in the topic of Judgment Day. The book is "The Last Day" by G. Kleier, and it is a very moving, scary, intelligent look at the World in the throes of a Second Coming. What you will like about this book is that it is ONE, completely contained story -- not a trick to stretch you and your wallet out over multiple books. And in reading it, you will find far more to think about and marvel over than any these other so-called "Judgment Day" novels, which may follow the Book of Revelation better, but lack "The Last Day's" spiritual power and surprises. I'm leaving "Left Behind" behind, and anyone who is tired of being duped should do the same!
Rating: Summary: This was not the best book Review: This book was not the most exciting book in the world but it was decint. It did however inform us about what has happened in our past, but then goes and puts a huge twist on everything to make it alittle more exciting.
Rating: Summary: Apples and Oranges Review: Saying that a book isn't good because it disagrees with your theology is like saying a tomato isn't a grape. The series shows an indepth look at life in a horrible situation and how people might react. This series IS reaching the lost and is still on the Best Seller lists. One might ask if the "Alternative" is on the same list......hmmmmmm?
