Summary: Just as bad as bad can be
Review: After the first 8 books, I have to keep reading just to find out if they can get any worse. And surprise! They can. (...)

Bad writing, no characterization, lame plotting, a complete lack of believability (regardless of whether you agree or disagree with the authors interpretation of the Revelation), and continuous resorting to "deus ex machina" to get the so-called characters out of their (...) situations.

Summary: Getting Very Slow
Review: I am a Christian. And I also believe the series has been not only entertaining but has reach many people around the world. I must admit however that last few books have not been that good. I hate to say that they are dragging it out for profit sake but I think the book could have been done in a a hundred pages, much like the last two. The ending does leave you wanting to read the next book, but I'm afraid that they have taken something that was once so wonderful and have dragged it out just a little to long. I do wish them the best of luck in writing the rest of the series.

Summary: The series is starting to wear thin...
Review: I was a big fan of the series to date, but I am really starting to feel that we are starting to see the series declining due to the fact that the authors have been required to extend the number of books for the series. I have seen other books that were only a few hundred pages, go into great deal on the end times, with wonderful character development, and they were only a fraction of the size. I must say that Desecration was more entertaining than the last few, but how much longer can they drag it out?

Summary: Renews my faith in the Left Behind series!
Review: The last two books in the series started to give me the feeling that maybe the dinamic duo were starting to lose their touch. We saw signs of old plot techniques brought back into the forefront, and it seemed as if the originality of the series was starting to go south. However, with Desecration, Jenkins and LaHaye reply with a superbly planned and written book. The opening chapter is enough to hold your interest for the entire book, and we are finally shown the better side of many of the main characters. And FINALLY! A sense of realism! No more instant replacements for Trib Force members who are killed!

Be prepared to be shocked and have your breath taken away. If you thought the ending to the last book was a surprise, wait until you read this book!

Summary: Disappointed
Review: They should have finished the series when they said they were going to in the 7th book. I was so disappointed when they started to drag the books out.

Summary: As the Tribulation Continues....
Review: Life doesn't get any easier for the Tribulation Force. These Tribulation Christians are again in the middle of Bible prophecy, and just trying to survive.

Buck and Chaim have gone to Jerusalem to lead believing Jews to the refuge God has prepared for the rest of the Tribulation. But to do that, they must face Nicolae as he plans to defile the temple. Rayford must carry out the plans to ferry these Christians to their refuge, placing himself and many others in danger along the way. Chang has to deal with the ramifications of having both the mark of God and the mark of Antichrist. And Chloe investigates a strange site near the safe house, which leads to great danger for everyone in the Trib Force. Meanwhile, God starts to unleash his wrath on those who have taken the mark of the beast.

People seem to be divided by these books, either loving them or hating them. Personally, I enjoy the story while finding the writing and character development shallow. Still, for fans of the series, this book is a must read. It's fast paced, with many jaw-dropping scenes. And the cliffhanger is the worst of the series to date.

If you aren't already a fan of these books, there's nothing here to change your mind. If you're already a fan, this book will entertain you and leave you anxious for the next, due out in 2002.

Summary: A good read
Review: I can't wait to get to the end and see how they describe the "glorious appearing". I also wonder what they are going to do when they read the last verse of Revelation. Of course I suppose it is possible that they have read it and are convinced that there is no POSSIBLE way they could be adding or taking away. Either way, the books are great entertainment and entertainment that does not degrade is wonderfully refreshing today.

I am also a little disappointed that the authors are breaking it up into so many books. If they simply cannot condense it into fewer pages I wish they would write fewer and longer books.

If you are looking to find great, complex, deep literature buy something else. These books are great and this is another in a great series but they are not Pulitzer contenders, nor does it appear they were meant to be. Ever notice how the Back to the Future movies were fairly simplistic and predictable but a lot of fun to watch? I recommend the series and this installment.

One thing that I think the series does exceptionally well is to describe the ideal for the non-believer. One problem with that may be so few of us believers approximate the ideals in the series that non-believers will not recognize the ideals as relating to Christians they have known. With that caution I would especially recommend this series to the non-believer, for a great number of reasons.

Summary: I wanted to like this one.
Review: I really tried to like it. But I didn't. I found it boring, cliche, predictable...not like some of the others in the series. I had to force myself to finish, though I must admit the second half was much better than the first. I am a Christian, and I think this series started out with a wonderful message. Now I think they're just cashing in. I'd be willing to wait for longer periods of time between books if they were better quality. These books are starting to read like Danielle Steel!!

Summary: Beautifully written book
Review: I have been reading the Left Behind books since they first came out. I feel that many people who have been reading this series are beginning to think that it is losing its fire. Just continue to be aware that these books are a wonderful insight into the book of Revelations and the end of times. Every time I read this series I am soberly aware of the way these people must be feeling.
(...)BR>All in all, this book is very well written and very accurate to the account in Revelation. I've given it five stars. While this isn't the best book in the series, it is still quite a bit better than some other books I've read. I am quite looking forward to the release of the next book in the summer of 2002.

Summary: Can't wait till the next one
Review: I couldn't wait to read Desecration. I was just slightly disapoited in the ending. But I guess I'll be first in line for the next in the series. I can only hope they wont make us wait until halloween of next year. I have bought these books as gifts and will say even my non Christian friends cant put them down. I only hope this helps wake them up to the truth. Even knowing the truth it has opened my eyes even further. God Bless keep on writing.
