Rating: Summary: Can You Keep A Secret - is great!!!! Review: This book was hilarious and another excellent book by Sophie Kinsella. I can hardly wait to read what she writes next! The book grabs you from the beginning and then you don't want to put it down! Very fun and light reading and quite entertaining!
Rating: Summary: Can You Keep A Secret REview Review: I thought this book was great. I've never read any of Sophie Kinsella's books, but now I will. This book made me not want to put it down. If you are looking for a book that has romance, comedy, and drama, this is the book for you.
Rating: Summary: FUNNY GIRLY PINK BOOK Review: I read fast because it was very funny and entertaning. Indeed, it was a girlie book ... what can you expect of a book with a bright pink cover? However, I found it very entertaining and hilarious. I read it as I walked on the treadmill, and I found myself laughing out loud.
Rating: Summary: Hillarious Secrets!! Review: Sophie Kinsella has done it again. If you're a huge fan of the Shopaholic series like myself, then you are bound to enjoy this one. You might be able to guess the ending at the halfway point, but it's still a hillarious, laugh-out-loud story and the secret-keeper, Emma, is a lot more plausible than most chick lit female leads. The best parts are the embarrassing office scenes with Jack Harper, because they make you cringe for poor Emma. The boring market-research obsessed boyfriend is also very plausible. This is one of the best chick lit books of the year. It definitely lives up to the previous books.
Rating: Summary: entertaining and witty Review: I borrowed this book from my sister after hearing her laugh through the entirety of her reading it. I've got to say, she was right, I've never laughed so hard from a piece of literature. In fact, I enjoyed this book so much that I lent it to 4 girls that lived in my dorm, we all loved it, and would recommend it to ANYONE and EVERYONE. It was a refreshing change of pace from the boring textbooks and "classic" literature I had been reading.
Rating: Summary: Darling? Review: There were two moments that epitomized this book for me. The first was when Ken told Emma that they should call each other darling. I burst out laughing. The second was when the author expressed Emma's horror at walking in on her rommate and dance partner in the flesh-colored leotards. Fantastic. Great bits. Sophie Kinsella should have been a Sex and the City writer.
Rating: Summary: A Definite Chick Pick! Review: I was so anxious to read the newest of Sophie Kinsella's books, after having read the Shopaholic Trio. I was not disappointed...only in the fact that we have to wait for yet another of her books to be published. She can't crank 'em out fast enough as far as I'm concerned! She has become one of my favorite authors. Sit down, relax & enjoy away.
Rating: Summary: Amazing!! Review: I have been a huge fan of Sophie Kinsella and the Shopaholic series. I finished this book in a day and laughed out loud throughout it. I even woke my husband up a few times laughing! This was the best!
Rating: Summary: Good summer reading---light, entertaining, & funny Review: I couldn't get into the "Shopaholic" books by this author, so I was pleasantly surprised by this book. It was fun from the first page, never took itself too seriously and, thus, did not disappoint (a la "Nanny Diaries" or "The Devil Wears Prada").
Rating: Summary: THE LAUGHS CONTINUE.................. Review: ....with the newest character that Ms. Kinsella has created. Emma Corrigan is a lowly marketing secretary; she shares a flat with the brilliant but naive Lissy, who is her best friend, and Jemima, a designer-clad dodo whose entire life is geared towards getting a "rock" on her finger. Emma's life is blah; she is dating the handsome but dull Connor (who secretly reminds her of Ken, of Barbie and Ken fame) with whom she secretly has nothing in common. Her lack of career/personal success is magnified by cousin Kerry's (who lived with the Corrigans throughout her childhood and is like a second daughter to Emma's parents) entrepenurial/marital achievements. Then she encounters a stranger on an tumultuous plane ride to whom she divulges all of her biggest secrets (she secretly only pretends to like jazz, since Connor loves it, she is really NOT a size 4, and G-strings hurt). When the plane lands safely after all, Emma breathes a sigh of relief and thinks that is the end of it. Until she shows up at her job at the Panther Corporation and discovers that the "stranger" on the plane is actually one of the company's founding fathers...and Emma's life is soon thrown into complete chaos...!! Fans of Becky Bloomwood from Kinsella's "Shopaholic" series will find the secretive Emma Corrigan equally adorable. Dare we hope that this is the start of yet another fabulous series?!? DYB
