Rating: Summary: I loved it!!! Review: This book was excellant. I could not put it down. I recommend that every woman order this book today. It was great! I loved Jack!!!
Rating: Summary: Amazing Book Review: This book was my first Sophie Kinsella attempt, and I loved it! Emma Corrigan was the kind of "heroine" that's fun to read about, but also is what you really want in a heroine. Her loose tongue to the man who turns out to be her boss was hilarious. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who wanted a quick, funny read!
Rating: Summary: Slow Start but Cute Ending Review: I enjoyed Can You Keep a Secret. It has a slow start, but it is worth the read. Once you get started, it is a quick read and you want to know more about what happens in their lives. I was not ready for it to end.
Rating: Summary: The wit of shopaholic without the cringing Review: I loved all of Sophie Kinsella's Shopaholic books, so much, in fact, that I ordered some on Amazon UK to get them before they came out in the US. But I always found them extremely cringeworthy and almost hard to read, since Becky was constantly getting herself into such trouble. This book made me laugh out loud several times and charmed me as much as her previous books but I almost never winced or cringed.
Rating: Summary: Your secret is out! Review: Emma is a character that women can relate to. She just wants the simple things in life, but feels she needs to keep secrets in order to belong. I recommend this book if you're looking for a good read that you can get lost in. The characters come to life on the pages and you'll find yourself wishing the best for Emma.
Rating: Summary: Brina's Review Review: This was an amazing book. I love Sophie Kinsella's books. This book is about a woman living in England. She spills all of her secrets to a man who she thinks she will never meet again...until he shows up at her offices. What will happen? What will narrator Emma do? Read this great book to find out! I recommend this book to female teens and adults.
Rating: Summary: No! Can't Keep This a Secret At All Review: Emma Corrigan is hillariously witty and charming just like the heroine of the Shopaholic series! I was doubled over in laughter throughout the entire book. Don't miss this one if you enjoy a rip-roaring laugh!!
Rating: Summary: Great plane-type read- don't judge it for it's insipid title Review: I read this book in maybe 4 hours tops and it was very enjoyable.was it as good as confessions of a shopoholic? no, not quite, because Emma's flaws weren't as clearly defined as Becky's were. As someone who FREQUENTLY does the absolute wrong thing, knowing it's the wrong thing, feeling terrible about doing it and yet doing it just the same (like, for example, reading an entire Sophie Kinsella book in one sitting when I have 4 pages of paper demanding to be written), Kinsella's abilty to catch that kind of compulsive dread in Becky's shopping splurges was just exceptional. This book doesn't have something that resonates quite so forcibly. HOWEVER, Emma is sweet, Jack is well, the kind of perfect, thoughtful, romantic, funny, handsome RICH man that exists only in chick lit lovels. He's really quite yummy. Emma's friends are lovely, her enemies are wonderfully icky and the humor is consistent and the plot is VERY engaging (read it compulsively in one sitting, no more able to stop myself than becky would have been able to stop herself from buying that second pair of shoes), even if it's not exactly surprising. Great book for an airplane, beach reading, whatever.
Rating: Summary: Can you keep a secret? Review: I read this book several times, and still it is funny. Definately a must read book!
Rating: Summary: Almost anyone can relate to Emma Review: Her secrets are ones that I can definitely understand...if not relate to. I just LOVED this book. It had everything - it's funny, witty, intelligent, poignant. Yes, there were a couple moments where I got a little teary-eyed - I could really feel her pain at certain points in the story. Having read the 'Shopaholic' series, I found Emma to be refreshing and less needy than Rebecca. Her little lies and withholding of information didn't annoy me as much as Becky's. A very fun read. For all the grown-up girlies out there, time will pass quickly when you're reading this book.
