Summary: Fabulous!
Review: I loved the Shopaholic series, despite my reluctance to read it.
I had this book the day it hit the shelf and read it quickly. I just couldn't put it down, it was so entertaining.

I sat in my corporate lunchroom, today, laughing so hard I was snorting, while reading it.

I think this is another great book from Sophie Kinsella, and I find myself disappointed that I'm done with it.

Summary: entertaining though typical
Review: After a disastrous meeting in Scotland for her job at Panther Cola, Emma Corrigan is on a flight back to London. A flight attendant takes pity on her bad day and upgrades her to first class, where she sits beside a handsome American man.

When the plane hits a patch of terrible turbulence and it looks like it's the end, Emma spills her guts to the American about how she ditches her work and is not sure about her lovelife with her live-in boyfriend -- only to discover that he is the owner of her company over for a rare visit to the office. And now he knows all of Emma's secrets while she knows next to nothing about him.

This imbalance of power has Emma on pins and needles during his weeks at the office, while examining her life based on the confidences she has shared. She could do better but how -- and is Jack (her boss) a part of it?

Emma is not as charming as Kinsella's Becky Bloomwood but this is still a good entertaining read.

Summary: Sophie Kinsella Does It Again!
Review: Having read Sophie Kinsella's "Shopaholic" series, I was very hopeful that I might find a new set of characters and scenarios which proved to be, once again, extremely endearing and humorous. Sophie Kinsella has definitely delivered! Emma Corrigan is a very fun-loving, delightful, lovable, no-nonsense kind-of British gal. I find the predictaments in which she finds herself to be hilarious, yet so believable that I found myself getting embarrassed for her! This novel truly had the power to take me away from my current surroundings and escape into a world that always seems to become more comical and complicated than what I usually predict from the typical genre.

Summary: witty, wicked and enchanting.......
Review: Emma Corrigan is searching for a way to make her dreams come true, a great guy, a great job and real happiness. She manages to utterly destroy her chances for a promotion at her first opportunity. On her way home from her failed business meeting, she relates everything she regards as a personal failing to a stranger and the story takes off from there. What happens when all your personal secrets are no longer hidden away? Does it change who you are, does it change who your friends are or does it open new opportunities...? Kinsella is a witty, disarming author who wickedly enchants and humorously captivates in a story of the search for happiness, love and acceptance. This is a true joy to read!

Summary: I can't keep a secret!!
Review: I've recently read this book, for the reason that I wanted to read something light and romantic for a change. The secret is out...it was absolutely hilarious! I couldn't put the book down -Sophie Kinsella did a great job with Emma Corrigan, the quirky funny 20-something character along with her drama w/ her family, dull boyfriend, backstabber officemates, and romantic tensions with Jack. If you need a good laugh and feel better for not lying about your underwear size, I highly recommend this book a must read.

Summary: Very Fun
Review: I've read all of the Shopoholic novels and, while I thought they were terrifically fun, this is my favorite from Sophie Kinsella so far. I found myself laughing out loud and I finished the book in record time. If you're looking for a fun escape, read this.

Summary: Beloved Author Takes Us On New Adventure!
Review: I am a huge Sophie Kinsella fan - as are many of us. I mean - who hasn't read at least ONE of the "Shopaholic" books? Everyone has... so, we know Kinsella's work. Her new book "Can You Keep a Secret?" takes us on a new adventure with Emma Corrigan, you feel the same sense of fun, intelligence and spunk as you did with Becky Bloomwood.

Emma truly believes her life is right on track. She has a (fairly) enjoyable job, good boyfriend, and good friends. Everything is good. Settled. Well - an unexpected good awful flight has her in a tizzy and that's where things begin to go pear-shaped. Emma uses this opportunity to spill her guts to a very attractive stranger sitting next to her --- of course you (as the reader) know this is no random man and things are going to come back to haunt Miss Emma. The good thing is - Emma doesn't. And, that's what makes this book so much fun. It's light, fun and really fun. I loved all the work settings and the backstabbing and naughtiness of it.

Great new book from one of my favorite author... I thrilled its finally available in the States (I read it ages ago from AmazonUK). I think those who loved "Shopaholic" will be happy with this new offering.

Cheers!

Summary: Sophie Kinsella strikes again!
Review: Sophie Kinsella strikes again! This time, with a book that is in the same league as her hilarious shopaholic books. It was a wonderful read, and reminded me of delicious chocolate. You try to savor it , but end up gobbling it right up. I read it quickly and laughed out loud many times, as I was transported into the world of emma corrigan.

Summary: Good Quick Read
Review: I only gave it 3 stars b/c I liked it and thought it was a cute, quick read, but not as wonderful as her shopaholic books. I am glad I got it, but can't wait for more shopaholic books. I love those.
Enjoy!!

Summary: My first!
Review: What a great concept and follow through for a book! I was blown away by this author and will read everything she ever writes! This book was my first Sophie Kinsella attempt, and I loved it! Emma Corrigan was the kind of "heroine" that's fun to read about, but also is what you really want in a heroine. Her loose tongue to the man who turns out to be her boss was hilarious. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who wanted a quick, funny read! Also would recommend "The Bark of the Dogwood"--which is also funny, but very disturbing in places as well. Enjoy!!!
