Summary: Fabulous! Life-Altering!
Review: This book, as well as Myss' book 'Sacred Contracts', have made a huge impact on my life. It is powerful and filled with "aha's"! Myss has found and captured the answers to so many questions that many spend a lifetime never finding answers to. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. It could save your life, especially if you are currently experiencing illness or difficulties in your life - as there is no real separation between mind, body & spirit.

Summary: Great Book, Must Read
Review: This book served as a link between my spiritual and non-spiritual life, a link I had been aware of but unable to understand. Ms Myss is beautiful in that she stresses the importance of being true to your spiritual beliefs, no matter what they are, yet harnessing your own power as a human to make (or correct) changes within your own body.

Summary: Clear and Explicit Guide
Review: Myss gives detailed information on each of the chakras and how that chakra 1)effects one's life, 2) can be worked with to improve that aspect of one's life.

I found it to be an excellant guide to life transformation.

Summary: You'll never look at life the same way again
Review: I listened to the tape series instead of reading the book. After I hearing the first two tapes (out of 8), it literally blew me away. If you REALLY listen to what she's saying--absorb it--consider it as one possible truth for the human existence--you will never look at life the same way again. It's like putting on a pair of glasses and for the first time in your life, you can see clearly. You understand WHY we exist on this earth and what our purpose in life is. After listening to Carolyn Myss, who truly has an unusual gift, you can NEVER go back to the way your life used to be, because you will finally "get it."

I am now listening to her second tape series, which is extremely valuable and builds on the first. It's very high level thinking--way beyond the intellectual capacity for the average person. This stuff is for people who are serious about spiritual growth and personal awareness.

Summary: Anatomy of the Spirit: The Seven Stages of Power and Healing
Review: Carolyn Myss is a wonder!!! Her contribution to regenerating the human spirit and explaining the wondrous abilities we have as human beings to have a real ability to control our lives is the greatest of lessons. An individual can take from it just what parts of the writings the individual can deal with at the moment and not feel guilty...just well-informed and truly relieved to know that information is easily attained.

Sincerely, Roberta M Thorpe

Summary: change the quality of your life
Review: I have not read a book that has enhanced my spiritual growth this much in a long time. Anatomy of the Spirit embraces the philosophy of living a responsible, fulfilling quality of life. This is no easy task these days with all of the distractions from spirituality. The book grounds you and helps you understand your own personal physicial and emotional health issues and helps you understand how to break destructive cycles that you weren't even aware of before reading this book. When you read something of this nature that takes you inside of your own body for evaluation and gives you the desire to heal yourself, you know you've had a true healing experience.

Summary: Why People Don't Heal and How They Can
Review: I found the above text a revolutionary life changing expereience. So much so that it has compelled me to teach classes about the above book and the Three Levels of Power and How to Use Them.

Are there any teaching materials that you know about that would assist in presenting Carolyn's material in a workshop setting? I look forward to hearing from you soon. Thanks, and God Bless. Nina Ezell

Summary: Anatomy for the modern age.
Review: Caroline Myss describes herself as a medical intuitive. This book is a summation of her insights and conclusions gained over 14 years of practising and teaching others. She describes her own extraordinary experiences which first led her to commit to this work, and how study and a gruelling schedule of workshops finally led her to teaching others how to "read" their own health. The book scores well in establishing and explaining its own language, drawing together 3 rich religious traditions and showing how each of them describe a central truth about the journey of spiritual growth. She compares the Hindu teaching of the seven chakras, the seven Christian sacraments and the ten points of the Tree of Life described in the Kabbalah, the mystical tradition of Judaism. Although there are ten points to the Tree of Life, Caroline Myss shows that some of these points are properly paired, so that they too describe seven stages of spiritual development, each with its own sacred truth. The majority of the book takes each chakra or stage in turn, describing the ways in which we are called to develop at each level, and the physical symptoms which can arise when we fail to heed this call. I found the book rich in insight and wisdom. Where the book worked particularly well for me was the frequent use of examples from real life case histories, relating intuitive images to the circumstances of the patient's life, and how the patient had subsequently healed, or sometimes how they had failed to heal. This format made it easy to draw parallels and comparisons with one's own life or that of friends. The unsentimental and scientific attitude of the author also helped to encourage the same detached approach for me as a reader. There is much food for thought contained here, whether you consider yourself healthy or not. Along the way, the book has many interesting things to say about the development and use of intuition, which Caroline Myss graphically describes as "symbolic sight", and the spiritual journey in general. I felt that the end of the book was a little disappointing. The guidance for the reader - a daily meditation which amounts to a personal health check - comes only in the form of a very brief "afterword". A lot of information has gone before, but a more thorough description, and perhaps some examples of how people have helped themselves in this way, would have offered me more encouragement to do the very thing that the book aims to promote. But this is a minor point, and perhaps experience with the meditation would be worth more than a few more pages of description. Overall, I heartily recommend this book, a thought-provoking read in an engaging style.
