Summary: Be fair
Review: The reviews on this page make her point! Look at how the folks giving her 1 star treat this book: the reviewers for the most part use vicious and dismissive language -- she's "not an intellectual", "dumb," etc.

The Left has become so il-liberal it would seem. Way out of balance.

By the way, the book is not perfect. Read it with a critical eye. It is a good read. Parts are staggering brilliant. Others are so-so. Overall, a very good expose of an often times scary ideology that's ruling our culture and its institutions.

Summary: Thank God!
Review: Thank God for McCarthy, The Venona Project, Ronald Reagan and Ann Coulter. Sooner or later this counties Liberals and their fanatical love for our enemies will come to light. Just hope its not to late. How they love to cloud up the real issues with their Human Rights smoking gun. Terrorist and traitors have no rights!

Summary: Childish stuff for a dumbed down audience
Review: I think Coulter should keep releasing these types of books- they really do the right a great disservice. I mean, if this is what passes for research, for truth, and facts...whew...!
This entire "book" is transparent (and a rather slim, large fonted, easy quick read.)
The 'facts' are kinda buck-shotted on the page...but I like the omissions best of all.
Hmmm, I think the Strategic Air Command was formed under Truman Admin in 1946..no mention of that..Kind of remember all those big beefy bomber wings flying around the clock..Truman also created the Dept. of the US Air Force to make sure we had those bomber wings...that was in 1947.
Kind of remember that Greece was kept from falling under communism during Mr. Trumans watch. In fact. Europe was in pretty bad shape after WW2...Mr. Truman kind of made sure that it was patched up and wouldn't fall under communism...
Yep, I think Mr. Truman was pretty anti-communist. I think he was pretty darn busy fighting it-
I laughed when she states Kennedy took all those missles out of Turkey after the Cuban Missle Crises...didn't mention they were obsolete and all ready scheduled to go...
The list goes on and on...
I really suggest people interested in reading about the Cold War read a variety of HISTORY books first.. Please do yourselves a favor and read the history..You will find that world situations are complex, and not this simplistic.
And I really dislike words like "treason" being used so loosely.

Summary: Not a true conservative
Review: .

A writer for The Wall Street Journal's conservative editorial page, Dorothy Rabinowitz, has done one of the better debunking jobs to date. She noted that the Coulter history of the Hollywood blacklist of suspected Communists ridicules the whining of prosperous exiles but ignores "the countless people destroyed because their names had popped up on some list of alleged Communists or fellow travelers, or sounded like a name on one of those lists."

Ms. Rabinowitz also pointed out that Ms. Coulter's admiring biography of Sen. McCarthy's career "excludes the senator's remarkable efforts on behalf of the members of the SS battle group who executed 86 American POWs in the Ardennes campaign in December 1944, otherwise known as the Malmedy Massacre." His line was that the U.S. Army had cruelly mistreated the former SS men.

Readers can thank Ms. Rabinowitz for filling in the gaps in a gap- filled book

Summary: Kruser
Review: I think the negative reviews of this & other of Coulter's books pretty much prove Coulter's point. They call her names, claim that the facts do not support her & suggest that Coulter should be dismissed, all without any credible argument or proof of her claimed inaccuracies.

It's pretty typical of the left & more evidence that you cannot debate a liberal. They will simply call you a(n)

Pick One:
Racist
Homophobe
Religious Fanatic
Demagogue
Right Wing Conspirator
Evil Person

and therefore your argument is dismissed. This way they need not be bothered with thinking or logic. Some reviewers have claimed that Coulter is really an angry guy in a dress. I doubt that's true, but even if it is, you still haven't dealt with her arguments. If her supporting documentation is incorrect, then how about showing some proof...

Summary: Sloppy Fact Gathering
Review: Ann, Please get your facts straight. Your book is full of exaggerations, and your quotes have been taken out of context. This book is flawed. However, the book makes perfect sense to those who read Coulter and do not bother to check her references because they find themselves automatically agreeing with her rhetoric. Just my two cents.

Summary: Poorly Researched
Review: As a dyed-in-the-wool conservative, I was disappointed with Coulter's book. It doesn't argue well, stands up for the wrong people (Joseph McCarthy???), and ultimately presents the very worst of the right wing (and there are some, I admit) as THE right wing - something that can only add fuel to the misinformed fire. If Coulter would simply stop writing these books, I think conservatives might actually have a chance to make some inroads into middle America. As it is, books like this only contribute to the left's name-calling - that all we do is support tyrants, jail those who disagree with us, and report everyone for suspicious behavior. Do not read this book; there is much better out there.

Rating: 2 stars
Summary: I don't think she does her cause any good
Review: Sadly, I don't think Ann Coulter does her cause any good - I rather agree with the Catherwood review below, that other conservatives do a better job. Read the Weekly Standard - reading Coulter is enough to turn anyone into a liberal!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: One to Five Star Answer Key
Review: The 1 to 5 star answer key is really quite simple...

Those who actually read the book gave it either 4 or 5 stars...

Those who gave 1 to 3 stars either didn't read it, or simply can't read.

This is an important book for anyone interested in the truth.

Ann Coulter is brilliant and HONEST.

Rating: 1 stars
Summary: typical kneejerk coulter
Review: The usual Coulter spluttering. Here it is in a nutshell: Liberals? BAD! Conservatives? GOOD!

That's it.
