Rating: Summary: Awesome Ann!!! Review: Ann is a true American patriot who has done a great service in meticulously outlining the despicable treachery of the Left. She skillfully tells how liberals have tried to harm America from the Cold War to the present. Carefully explaining the Left's infatuation with the communists and America's other enemies, Ann pulls no punches with this superb and refreshing expose of the truth about liberals. She references everything to back up her claims, and the liberals can't do anything to disprove her. They've tried, they've failed. This book should be required reading. Ann is a great heroine for America and conservatives should be proud to have her help.
Rating: Summary: Alternate title: "Mein PMS Kampf Review: Ann is the poster child for the extra-chromosome, frothing-at-the-mouth wing of the Republican Party. Her vituperative and logically incoherent primal screams, "Treason" and "Slander", are perfect illustrations of all that is wrong with modern politics.Generations from now, historians will try to pinpoint the time at which American political life began its epic unraveling. To these yet-unborn generations, Ann's work will prove to be seminal.
Rating: Summary: Their own medicine Review: Ann Coulter is giving the left (both the malignant narcissists and those in denial) some of their own medicine. That explains the impotent howls of rage displayed in many of these reviews. As for the book, it is factual, well researched and engaging. It also rehabilitates McCarthy after all the slander visited upon this patriot over many decades. I enjoy the author's keen insight and her confrontational approach. Long may she expose the real agenda of those who only seek power. Books of related interest include In Defense Of Global Capitalism by Johan Norberg, Anti-Americanism by French author Jean Francois Revel, The Death Of Right And Wrong by Tammy Bruce, The Quest For Cosmic Justice by Thomas Sowell, Envy: A Theory Of Social Behavior by Helmut Schoeck and The New Anti-Semitism by Phyllis Chesler.
Rating: Summary: Coulter proudly displays her "F" in Research Review: Ms. Coulter should have stuck with her original title - "Lies: And the Lying Liar Who's Telling Them." For those looking for facts contrived from fairy dust, you won't be disappointed. Coulter writes for one audience: ostriches shouting from the podium, "I-read-it-so-it-must-be-true!" Her reputation for distorting truth reaches new heights, from flagrantly misappropriating NY Times writer Thomas Friedman's column on racial profiling to naive depictions of all Democrats as liberals. This is a woman whose right hand doesn't know what the left is doing and isn't taking a peek. That means research, and Coulter isn't about to check facts now. She's built a solid reputation for sloppy research and pandering to followers who say, "Golly gee, why git yer high school diploma or rede the paper when we got Ms. Ann here to do the ree-search for us and tell us ever'thing we needs to know!" My recommendation - wait for Ms. Coulter's next book: Rednecks: And other Republican Rights I Write For
Rating: Summary: Sloppy writing - not worth the paper it is written on. Review: All you die hard conservatives who love Ann Coulter, check out this column from the National Review (one of the most conservative online magazine and Ann used to write a column for them). http://www.nationalreview.com/nr_comment/nr_comment100301.shtml You may not believe Al Franken when he says Coulter mis-represents facts but here you have a conservative publication pretty much saying the same thing. After reading this, if you still believe Ann, contact me, I have a bridge that I need to dispose of.
Rating: Summary: Phhhbbbttt! Review: You know, its not even a matter of Left VS Right politics - this really is just a shoddy piece of writing.
Rating: Summary: Who gave birth to this nut case? Review: Ann's research and reasoning are sloppy, at best...this book isn't worth anyone's time. There is a lot of hatred in this screed.
Rating: Summary: I sure did like this book!! Review: Gee golly that there Ann Coulter shore is purdy. I done only rated this here book 3 stars cause i reckon i only understood half of them words. That other reviewer done recommended reading Plato's "Republic" instead. All's i got ta say is I dun see no Mr. Plato on the New Yerk Times bestsellas list. And they dont go and put just any shmoe on there...only the smartest shmoes of em all.
Rating: Summary: Good but not good enough! Review: I found Coulter's book to be really interestingl. The only problem I found is that she tends to label a bit much, without looking enough at her own party. Her case against the Clintons is for the most part correct, but a little over-done. I understand she wants to get her point accross but one could argue that a few wrongdoings from the Bush clan could be labeled as (...) . This book was insightful on what goes on in the congress that the liberal media never tells us. It really makes you wonder by Bill O'Reiley's book "Who's looking out for you?" Anyways, If you want a book with a more right-wing slant check this out. Otherwise I'd reccomend Tammy Bruce instead. She is a little more fair and balanced ( can i say that? LOL).
Rating: Summary: Certainly "Treason" of the highest degree Review: Ms. Coulter's book is yet another example of shameless demagogues pandering to mass hysteria with an assortment of senseless arguments haphazardly slapped together with a choice bit of foul language to make it an appetizing read for the "common man." Truly, an insult to all of our intellects. A true patriot and a true American concerned with our Nation's political situation would do better to read the Federalist Papers, actual Constitutional law, or otherwise read about America's place in history and the world. I personally suggest Plato's Republic as a warning about how people like Anne Coulter destroy our culture and democracy by debasing politics to a mudslinging contest, followed by a healthy dose of American history to remedy any pessimism that Plato might leave.
