Summary: more misinformation
Review: Coulter alleges that decoded Soviet cables support old allegations that I.F.Stone worked for the KGB. Harvey Klehr, an expert on the evidence she claims to have found in a book he co-wrote, says it isn't there. Indications from the so-called Venona spy cables made public in the 1990s suggest that Stone was nobody's agent but his own.

Summary: Completely Depends on your Political Views
Review: Whether or not you enjoy this book is purely based on your political beliefs. I'm sure if you look through the almost 2,000 reviews on this book, the star ratings are a measure of how far left or right the reviewer is.

Summary: Take it with a grain of salt....
Review: Remember when President Bush said he was going to unite the right and left in America? Clearly, it hasn't happened, and from the right, people like Ann Coulter are the reason why. Before the hate-filled right-wingers come out and scream "liberal! liberal!", I'd inform you I'm a moderate, so unlike those of you who consider yourselves right or left, I'm able to actually read books by Ann Coulter and Al Franken with equal objectivity, something I'm sure few of the people who positively reviewed this book can say.

As the title indicates, Coulter hates liberals. She's not very candid about letting you know that either. Which throws a clog into her objectivity, but you expect that when you read a left or right-wing book. But what the title also indicates is how much she lates liberals, and how far-fetched she gets with this book. While I sometimes feel very strongly against liberal policies, I never consider them treason. In America, there are two competing sets of ideologies. In each case, the people who support each one are confident they are doing whats best for America. Thats hardly treason, Miss Coulter...

The bottom line is Ann Coulter comes across in this book as a bitter individual. Being an educated individual, I was able to see countless incidents of fact distortion. Have you ever read something in a book that just took you back to the point that you couldn't believe it was true? That happened a lot to me - instead of just taking the "hey, its in print so it MUST be true" attitude I'm sure most of the die-hards who read this book took, I actually checked out some of her claims when I had a hard time believing them. For the most part, they were more examples of Coulter's fact distortion.

The bottom line is that this book is perfect for any die-hard right-winger who wants more reason to hate liberals and doesn't care about actual facts. As I said before, people like Ann Coulter exist on both sides of the spectrum, liberal and conservative, and are the reason this country is so deeply divided between left and right. I've read some good conservative books by good conservative authors, but this book and its author do not fall into either categories.

Summary: Finally Some TRUTH
Review: Ann Coulter does a VERY good job disspelling all those liberal lies and it is very refreshing to read something that is not filled with garbage opposed to anything that comes out of any liberal wacko. As a history buff I am only too happy to hear someone tell how the story really went. Anyone who reads this book and enjoys it is getting a real treat, everybody else is just jealous of our intelligence and our ability to handle the truth. That means you, you right wing nuts!!

Summary: THIS BOOK WAS GREAT!!!
Review: This is the best book of her 3 books and that is saying something. Everything Ann has written is priceless. Being born in the 70's I was not aware of alot that went on during the McCarthy era, and being educated in liberal public schools I wouldn't have been given an accurate portrayal anyway. More than any other political author, Ann provides facts to back up her opinions. All of her figures are supported by references so that whinny little liberals can't dispute the facts. This book proves that during any point of conflict in our countrys history, the democratic party has always been a party looking to pacify those who are against our best interest. Also, it is unbelievable how the average person today has no idea about the number of soviet spies working for the U.S. government during this time. Great facts on President Reagan which also can not be disputed. You have to love Ann for her ability to always make liberals look stupid during any type of debate and to always look so good doing it.

Summary: ?this is supposed to be truth¿
Review: Let's face it people, pundits are pundits. They always have been and always will be. It does not matter if they are left-wing or right-wing. The worst people you could get political data from is a pundit. Until people wake up and realize that this country is going to be reduced to juvenile name calling and verbal cage-matches.

In the first chapter of this book Ann Coulter says that liberals like to call Communist and terrorists purveyors of "peace"? I'm sorry but a terrorist is a terrorist. A communist is a communist. Neither are searching for peace.

I'm probably going to get bashed for this review, but I do not care. Please wake up and realize that pundits are not the people you want to listen to. Read a newspaper, stay away from CNN and FOX both, don't listen to talk radio. Check internet sources and cross reference all sources to get the truth. Put some initiative into your political views and discover the real truth, not what the pundits spew from airbags they call their heads.

Summary: Informative and Entertaining
Review: This book states some important truths, and it does so in a marvellously informative and entertaining way. We're in a culture war at the moment, friends, and this book fires a good few heavy artillery salvoes in the right direction. It also made me laught more than somewhat. It is hated by the people whose hatred is a compliment. Keep it up, Anne Coulter! By the way, I'm not a die-hard conservative, I'm a trade union lawyer, but I can admire a book that shows how disgusting, craven, death-haunted and treacherous the Left or Left-liberalism around the English-speaking world has become.

Summary: Good review of the damage done by liberals
Review: This book is a good review of the damage the liberals have done to this country in the last century and what their motives actually are. This helps to understand the roots of some of the foreign policy problems that we have today. Anne has done a lot of well documented research for this book and I would put more faith in some of this than in many american history textbooks in our schools today. I would recommend anyone read this from highschool an older especially if the have had to sit through a typically liberal biased college class.

Summary: A great classroom teaching tool!
Review: I find this book most useful in teaching critical thinking skills in the classroom. It takes even the slowest students no time at all to pick out numerous fallacies in logic. Ad populum, ad hominem, name calling, slippery slopes, glittering generalities, sweeping generalizations...all within a mere one or two pages! Thanks, Ann! Your writing makes teaching faulty reasoning a breeze!

Summary: Surprisingly Serious and Important
Review: Having seen a lot of Ms. Coulter on cable recently, I was expecting this book to be entertaining and confrontational, but not serious or thought-provoking. Boy, was I wrong!

This book would be a great gift for a friend studying Political Science. It might be more welcomed if that student were a lonely little free market believer, but it would be helpful and inspirational to any young student of politics. Helpful and inspirational in the sense that it will trigger all kinds ideas for term papers and further research. It sent me to the library to read more!
