Summary: Trying to be objective
Review: It is with not a little hesitancy that I write a review of this book given that there are in excess of 1600 reviews already but I will try to inject something that most of the reviewers here lack: Objectivity.

Coulter's style may be fairly called ridicule. The humor in that depends entirely on whether it is your ox or your enemy's ox who is getting gored.

Many of the negative reviews here illustrate many of Coulter's main themes. For example, she warns that liberal outrage lacking in detail is probably untrue. Many of these negative reviews are nothing but name calling. Many admit that they haven't read the book and many others are so ignorant of the book's contents that it is clear that they haven't read the book. Coulter says that liberals repeat the same lies over and over again with no regard for the truth citing specifically the untruth that McCarthy was resposnible for the blacklisting of the so-called Hollywood Ten. These negative reviews dust off that old lie and once again blame McCarthy for the Hollywood Ten. The rank hypocrisy of the compassionate liberal is detailed in the book and is exemplified by many of these negative reviews. For example, Coulter's appearance is ridiculed. Imagine of librals' howls of outrage if Hillary's appearance were so ridiculed. Coulter is accused of mean spiritedness for exposing the bullying behavior of the liberals. The negative reviews here reek of the book burning bully. Coulter is repeatedly called a liar and I assume that Coulter has not written the first book ever to be free of error but the negative reviewers are unable to point to a single lie. They stoop so far as to even claim that she has said something that she did not say and then accuse her of lying. I assume the word "lie" is defined by the liberals to mean any statement that does not agree with liberal orthodoxy.

Coulter has raised a number of important issues that her enemies are unwilling or unable to refute by any tactic more mature than name calling and lying. Coulter is not as effective as she might have been because of her alienating style. I fear that she is preaching to the choir. Nevertheless, I found this book to be fun to read, informative, and funny. Somebody out there now write a book proving her wrong. Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to prove that McCarthy was a cheap, lying, cowardly bully rather than the victim of cheap, lying cowardly bullies.

Summary: Coulter Doesn't Pull Punches
Review: I couldn't put this down. She knows how to write. Coulter's wit combined with the truth leaves the liberal\left\socialist\totalitarian lies in shreds.

Summary: Who is this lady?
Review: I had never heard of Ann Coulter until a friend of mine loaned me this book. After reading it, I have to admit that Al Franken was correct.

Summary: More proof that Republicans truly are inferior to Democrats
Review: It really is sad that anti-Americans like Ann Coulter are allowed to breathe free air, led alone write books and appear on talk shows. In her latest work of laughable fiction, Notoriously brain dead blonde hottie Ann Coulter once again proves her skill in distorting facts and defending notorious Republican losers like the insane and cowardly Joe McCarthy.
Ann praises McCarthy, while ignoring the thousands of innocent lives he ruined in his "Witch Hunts". She also proves her incompetence by attacking the great JFK. She ignores the fact that he was a war hero (who unlike our current president DIDN'T wuss out when his country called) who took on communisim in Cuba and won. JFK was the superior to any conservative then or since, but of course Ann's jealousy of Kennedy distorts the known facts. She also makes the laughable claim that Democrats can't win wars... Even though the worst war in history, WWII was won by a Democrat, as was Kosovo. Then she lies again by saying Harry Truman was soft on Communisim and was a traitor. I guess that's why Truman defeated the Japanese in WWII and waged war against commumisim in Korea, cause he was a traitor. The sad truth is Ann knows that Democrats are the TRUE Americans who fight and die for this country, while Republicans such as herself, Sean Hannity and Bill O'Reilly cower in the corner sucking thier thumbs. Republicans ashamed of thier inferiority to liberals will by this book and suck it up... but that won't help the fact that Liberals are the backbone of this great country.. and conservatives are the facist parasites that need to be locked up.

The only reason this book gets any stars is because Ann ios cute and has a hot body, too bad she has the IQ of a potato.

Summary: Truth at last, Truth at last!
Review: I never heard of Ann Coulter until I picked up Treason three months ago in an airport. I read this book with an open mind and since have conducted independant research on Ms. Coulters claims. Guess what...She's right!

The truth can hurt. Fortunately Ann's great sense of humor, wit and superior intelligence helps to keep us from crying over the what we all know is true in our hearts.

I read the mean spirited remarks left on other reviews. Ironically Ann mentions these traits.

Verify her statements and you will know the Truth! I've never given multiple copies of books as gifts until "Treason". It's well worth your time and easily the best book of the year.

Summary: let's just ignore her
Review: It is the worst thing for this woman and the best thing for this country to just ignore what she says.

There is no "liberal" or "conservative." Once you classify yourself or others in certain category, then you are restrained by those classifications. You are no longer able to think in fair and balanced manner. Partisanship is dangerous, if it goes too far.

Summary: Why I believe Ann Coulter's version of history
Review: They say you can't understand the present until you have studied the past. I've come to believe the converse is equally true. You can't understand the much of our history until you have enough experience with the present to thresh out the truth from the river of deceit that has been passed off as the history of the Cold War era.

As a good little liberal Democrat in the 50's and 60's, I bought the whole story the great ogre Joe McCarthy persecuting the innocent. But as liberal foreign and domestic policies delivered one disappointment after another I began to ask questions. Worse, I began to look with a critical eye at the books and TV presentations covering the period from the 1930's to the present. I watched brazen lies told about events I had direct knowledge of, like Vietnam, poverty programs, education, investment and banking. It soon became clear, looking back at my education that much of my reading and study had amounted to no more than wading through a swamp of nonsense. The new mandarin class that wants to rule us has created a whole industry devoted to flooding public discourse with trash.

As the years went by, seeing through lies became easier, but getting to the truth proved to be a daunting task. In the case of Sen. McCarthy in particular, I was really daunted. That is why I am so very grateful to Ann Coulter for her wonderful new book, TREASON.

I promised to tell you why I believe her. Here it is. Hers is the first version of the McCarthy affair I've ever read that made even elementary sense. She deals in the facts that liberal histories studiously avoid. The cast of characters is, for the first time, recognizable as the political breed I have observed through the 60's, 70's, 80's and 90's. Finally, I have searched the Internet for negative reviews looking in vain for anyone making even a serious effort to refute her claims of fact. No one! Coulter makes a host of factual claims. In a sea of attacks by people who brag about "PolySci degrees" and their study of the complete works of Michael Moore, Al Franken and Noam Chomsky, I have found many fatuously promising a refutation, but no one providing one. Not even in the smallest matter (I should repeat that I am talking about the McCarthy affair) does she seem to have gone astray.

And her factual claims alone, without the benefit of her incisive commentary, are devastating. I found the entire book one of the most rewarding I have ever read. Skip the pile of propaganda your liberal professors are pushing and read TREASON first. Then start watching the daily antics of the media and the democrats with your own eyes open.

Summary: Documented Facts speak for themselves.
Review: I thoroughly enjoyed this book, as it provided a refreshingly accurate, informative, lucid, well-documented, and thought-provoking look at liberalism in the United States.

Ann Coulter's book, in it's telling revelations about the destructivness of American liberalism, is comparable to Solzhenistyn's masterpiece: The Gulag Archipelago.

I highly recommend it.
