Summary: Outstanding piece of historical fact
Review: Great book by Ms. Coulter. Once again, the left can do nothing more than scream hysterically about "hate" when the facts are produced. The myth of Mycarthyism has been developed by the left to cover up their own inept and treasonous handling of national security during the fruitation of the cold war. The facts speak for themselves.

Summary: Paradigm Challenging
Review: Ms. Coulter's newest book may not be literary genius. It is still Great. I consider a book "great" when it permanently changes the way you look at the world by the time you have finished it. 'The Killer Angels' was one such for me, changing forever the way I understood the Civil War, contemporary American culture, and race relations. 'Treason' has similarly shocked my worldview about the last 100 years of American history. Coulter lays out the following argument: the Democratic party as an institution and Liberals as a group are defending and protecting enemy Islamic Fascists the same way they protected Stalin, Hitler and other fascist groups in the last 100 years. She draws comparisons between how the Dems/Libs protected communist sleeper cells in the '50s to how they are protecting muslim sleepers now. She demonstrates how the same smear job used to demonize Joe McCarthy is now being used against John Ashcroft, suggesting that in 50 years Ashcroft's name will also be used as a liberal curse word. It is all written in Coulter's rather shocking, sarcastic style, which caused me to laugh out loud throughout the read (in between shaking my head in anger). Love it or hate it, this book will challenge everything you thought you knew about recent American history.

Summary: LOADED with hard facts!
Review: I wonder how many of those 1 star reviewers have even read the book. They point to the review of the book on Spinsanity.com. I read the review and I agree that all liberals are not communists or traitors. I dont think anyone who reads the book will either or believe that Ann is trying to make everyone believe they are as half the article wines about. A nice try to discredit the book but A few questionable (and mostly trivial I might add) footnotes cannot put even a chicken scratch into the armor of Coulter's hundreds of stated facts.
I think whoever reads this book will come to the undeniable conclusion that liberals are dangerous and thank God Reagan was President throughout most of the eighties.
There are literally HUNDREDS of documented hard facts that will amaze you. I dont read a whole lot of books but I could not put this one down.

Summary: You can't change history!
Review: Ann Coulter makes very strong arguments and then backs them up with sources and references. She is obviously biased, and her sarcasm is cutting, but she is on target............I LOVE IT!!! Oh yeah, keep a dictionary close.

Summary: Laming of the Shrew
Review: I guess if you're into the unconscionably ridiculous rantings of a complete harpy, this book is for you. Otherwise, I'd suggest trying something from the non-fiction section.

Summary: Treason: #1 example of the right's "dark aged" thought
Review: Ann Coulter strikes out. After three tries, she has still been unable to surpass the right's arcane thought processes. Treason simply spins information that has been in existence for years into a fictional "anti-liberal" work, in a failing effort to counter left-wing writers like Michael Moore. Ann Coulter's newest work is simply her efforts at trying to extend her "fifteen minutes of fame" and efforts at smearing the left in this time where anyone who breathes a word against the U.S. is labeled as "Un-American." This book is simply sealing the minds of the right against alternative opinion and interpretation of events. However, in the war of left/right politics, this book would be banned by a Geneva convention in the hands of a cunning left-winger. Ann Coulter's arguments are no doubt repeated by conservatives frequently, and are easily circumventable. I would recommend borrowing this book from a library in order to get a better idea on how to debate with a conservative individual, however I would in no way endorse the purchase of this novel (yes, that was deliberate).

Summary: Inaccurate footnotes?! Please!
Review: I have to laugh as I read the typical liberal spin about how Ann Coulter "distorts" the truth in her book. One reviewer said that the only people who would enjoy this book would be those who don't bother checking up on her sources. Can I point out one little interesting factoid? I can think of one raging leftist that the world "promotes" as one of the greatest thinkers and writers of our time who rarely if ever uses footnotes or any sources at all. Have you perused through any of Gore Vidal's recent works like "The Perpetual War for Perpetual Peace," or "Dreaming War: Blood for Oil and the Cheney-Bush Junta"? The man does not list one piece of evidence to support the biased hot air that he spews! This book is shelved in the literary essays section in libraries! Even a commonsensical person (a librarian) knows that his "ideas" are not factually based, and yet people hold it up as divinely inspired truth! I am not saying that Ann Coulter is 100% right all of the time, or that she is not biased, but at least she has the cojones to list pages upon pages of back-up support for the ideas that she presents in her books! Oh, but I forgot. This is liberal America, a place where fantasy is more politcally correct than fact.

Summary: No brainer! She's Nuts!
Review: A human being can be this simple minded..
A piece of garbage.
Definately misleading and very dangerouse book for no brainers
and non thinkers.
Girl, world is more complex than that.
Do some researches when u write next time and don't ramble on
what u think is the fact but try to write on what u actually know is for a fact.
Nuts...

Summary: Facts vs Liberal Hysteria - The Facts Win!
Review: I started this book somewhat skeptical. Ms. Coulter's often controversial style made me wary of an all opinion piece by a noted conservative. I was instead wowed by the number of facts and documentation produced to lay out a pattern of Liberal attacks on America - sometimes out of ignorance but more often out of deliberate bias towards their point of view that America ought to model itself after godless communist states.

The fact that will wins for the most interesting and appropriate trivia is "What was the Soviet's code name of executed spy Julius Rosenberg?" - "Liberal".

Summary: An Inaccurate Exploitative and Racist Book
Review: Before you read this book, you should be given a disclaimer about the author's views on a couple things.

RACE: Ann Coulter refers to the Japanese army as "savage Oriental beasts." She also tells the reader that "The principal difference between fifth columnists and the cold war versus the war on terrorism is that you could sit next to a communist in a subway without asphyxiating," a comment that indicates that people from the Middle East smell bad, a horrible racial stereotype.

McCARTHYISM: Ann Coulter goes to great lengths to defend Joseph McCarthy's actions during the infamous hearings in which he persecuted suspected communists. She tells us fondly of his shining High School career, calling him a "poet", but fails to mention that McCarthy first found fame by publicly defending Nazis who faced murder charges. Coulter also doesn't tells us that the Democrats were the first ones to go after Communism under Truman, and that the Republicans themselves finally penalized McCarthy for his wrong-doings.

And any rational person can see that a book charging the entire political left (half of the country last time I checked) of such a serious crime as treason (which is punishable by death I believe) is ridiculously aggressive in its both biased and misrepresentational attack.
