Summary: Somnambulistic Programming
Review: I noticed at the very beginning of the book the
somnambulistic structure that could be harmful.
Some of these sentence structures within the book\
could be construed as somnambulistic messaging designed to project illness upon your children. (Read the laws of phychic phenomena! this book will explain a little about what I am saying. It was written by a doctor in the 1800's.
also need to read Influence the psychology of persuasion.
If you want more understanding about what I am talking about you need to study hypnosis and self hypnosis. The people that wrote this book should know better. They are educated professionals supposed to be helping people.

Summary: I highly recommend this book!
Review: This book should be required reading for all parents before leaving the hospital with a newborn. Full of invaluable information, it is the one parenting book I go back to again and again. I love the way it is written with cartoons and easy to reference lists.
This and THE READ ALOUD HANDBOOK by Jim Trelease are two parenting books that all parents and TEACHERS should read!

Summary: My favorite book on childrearing
Review: This is not merely a parenting book. It is a delightful treasure chest of tips on how to communicate with anyone.

Summary: Realistic and human
Review: This book recognizes that as parents we are not perfect, but want the best for our children. The simple truth that acknowledging children's emotions and honoring their right to have them is a breakthrough for most of us, says volumes about how we were raised. Learning the skills in this book and a change of viewpoint on our part can bring us closer to being the parents we want to be.

Summary: I love this book!
Review: What an awesome book! Easy to read and chock full of great advice on raising happy and healthy kids. This book reminds me of "The Child Whisperer" by Matt Pasquinilli. Both books give you ideas and simple tools to get your kids to listen to you in a non-punitive way. Buy both books for a comprehensive understanding of how language affects your child's entire life.

Summary: A must-read parenting book
Review: This is the first parenting book I have read. I read this book when I was facing the terrible two of my little girl. I'm so grateful for the insight and the practical skills suggested to build strong, loving and intimate relationship with my child. I love the part on active listening, which gives us a new perspective of what "listening" truly means, especially when we are faced with emotionally-troubled kids. This book is really a gift for me and I'll read it again and again coz it's the marvelous guide for parenting children of all ages.

Summary: easy reading
Review: I have read this as well as a book on siblings by the same authors and have found both to be helpful. No book can give you all the information necessary for parenting but the simple illustrations and easy language in these books make them good reference material that can be accessed quickly.

Summary: Good book, excellent summaries...
Review: I have just finished reading the book. The examples are very down-to-earth and the best thing is that there are summary pages at the end of each section for a quick lookup. I plan to copy these pages and stick them on the refrigerator and keep another copy with me to refer when in need.
I hope to change my habits by applying most of these principles not only with my child but also with everybody that I know. This is a very good book on human relations.

Summary: A quick, easy listening guide for better parenting
Review: I've purchased several audio books on parenting to use while I'm commuting to work. This book has many great concepts wrapped up into one, short, easy-listening audio book. So if you're short on time and money, pick this book. It's worth it!

Summary: This really works
Review: Faber has developed a system of communication that applies to all interpersonal relationships -- not just parent to child. I recommend the book, but if you're pressed for time or absorb audio better than reading, get this tape!
