Review: This is such a good book that I am buying two copies for friends. One for a terminally ill client because I think it will help him overcome his fear of death. One for my fellow hypnotherapist.
I've read the books of the physicists, psychologists and philosophers he refers to. He outlines their research,theories and beliefs in a highly comprehensible manner...bravo! He also presents a very good case for WHY you would want to become an out-of-body explorer yourself. His techniques for inducing astral travel are adaptations of safe hypnosis, meditation and creative visualization techniques. Very well done.
I've had a few spontaneous experiences that scared me while in a hypnotic trance state. I now know it is "normal" to feel the sinking falling feeling, buzzing and vibration when separating from your body. That alone was worth the price of admission. I didn't know what was happening. Now I know I am ready to astral travel. GREAT BOOK...BUY IT!

Summary: One Of The Best!!!
Review: While I admire the writings of Robert Monroe immensely I have to admit that he may be a little confusing for beginners, who may not fully understand or appreciate his terminology, or find it a bit dry. Not so with William Buhlman's book, which details not only his fascinating experiences but does something that no other book I've ever read on this subject has done, which is to explain this incredible experience scientifically by drawing comparisons to quantum physics. At first I thought this would be confusing, and perhaps a bit boring, but to my surprise I found it not only insightful, but downright fascinating. Buhlman has a great talent for taking a difficult and hard-to-understand topic and bringing it down to earth.In my opnion, not only the best INSTRUCTIONAL book on the subject, but the best BOOK on the subject. Period!

Review: Yes, WOW. This is definitely one of the best books (top 3 for sure) out there for people wanting to learn about OBEs. It's not too long, relatively simple, and very easy to read.
It's an extremely good mix of personal experience and techniques.
