Summary: The Junction Boys?
Review: I can't believe someone tried to compare this to the Junction Boys. This book is so much better than the awful acting and poor screenplay of Junction Boys. Read the book, it's another Grisham masterpiece.

Summary: LAME
Review: This was an OK short story but definitely not worth the price of a hardback book. If you see it laying as a free used book on a bookshelf - go ahead and read it - but don't pay for it (unless it's cheap). Maybe men might enjoy this more - the big jock failing as an adult and missing the glory days - I don't know.

Summary: Not typical Grisham, but good short story
Review: If you're looking for the typical Grisham novel dwelling in and out of court rooms, then this may not be for you. But, if you enjoyed such movies as "The Junction Boys" and "Remember the Titans" then this is a great book. I'm glad to see Grisham write something different from time to time and even though it was a short novel, it was still a nice book. The ending could have been a little better in my opinion.

Summary: Sweet story
Review: Sweet story, light read. Somewhat male-oriented. Interesting from the perspective of a mother of all boys. Not fabulous, but good.

Summary: A wonderful push toward humanity and hope
Review: It is a wonderful attempt to show that people of all races, ages and cultures can relate to. The struggles of life and how we can achieve with perseverance and faith. Good things can happen when we least expect it and bad things happen to make us stronger.

Summary: just plain bad...
Review: I love Grisham books, but this one is just plain bad. Boring, little plot and very tough just finishing it...

Summary: HIS GREATEST NON-COURTROOM THRILLER
Review: Absolutely outstanding. It was impossible to put down. So much emotion is in this book, you feel pity, sadness, and are almost ashamed of the towns people all at the same time! I was literally in tears at the end, it's emotionally gripping!

Summary: sadly, not Grisham's best
Review: Though this book was able to hold my interest, it lacked the flair and genius of John Grisham's other works. If you are a fan of his work, as I am, this is one of the only works that may be better picked up at the library for a quick read. Unlike The Testament or A Time to Kill, it won't keep coming back off the shelf to enjoy again and again.

Summary: A Terrific Book
Review: Bleachers is one of the best books I have ever read by John Grisham. Bleachers is a good book because the people from the old Messina football teams came back and talked about old memories. The greatest Messina quarterbackwas Neely Crenshaw. The book Bleachers should be read by football fans and anybody that likes reading books. Bleachers is a good book for any people that follows football and wants to learn about what football is about. The auther is John Grishamand he wrote alot of good books like Bleachers and others. The book Bleachers had alot of good parts were Crenshawwas telling the other Messina players about the all day run for conditioning. Then when Crenshaw was playing collegehe blow out his knee. Then everybody was telling him that the knee was a cheap shot. This was a good book to me becuase I like football and I follow football.

Summary: Excellent Short Story About Life.
Review: It is what it is. A short story about football and how life revoles around it in a small southern town. Kind of like John a Cervino was at Western Connecticut State University in the mid to late 1990's rebuilding the Colonials into a Fierce football machine.
