Summary: Common sense that unfortunately isn't common
Review: Excellent and easy reading for the every day person. Eye opening information that can help anyone who wants to financially increase their success. The authors try to communicate some of the approaches that the top five percent incomers of the US take towards finances. No get rich quick schemes just common sense approaches that don't seem to be as common as they should be. As usually is the case with any printed material, might offend those that have their own way of doing things and do not wish to agree with the author(s).

Summary: Dont waste your time!
Review: This book is TERRIBLE! I wrote a comlete essay that took me 45 minutes to write; completely trashing every point of this book. Needless to say, it somehow didn't save on this site. Do I not have first ammendment rights, or was it a computer glitch? All I know is that I recieved feedback that stated my review was saved sucessfully. It amazes me that this book has such high ratings, and suspect there is "funny business" going on here.

Summary: YOU ARE A PURE GENIUS KIYOSAKI!
Review: This book was absolutely wonderful! I thought Rich Dad Poor Dad was pretty good, because it taught me somethings I never knew and reminded me of where I do and do not want to be in the long term. Cashflow Quadrant abolishes the myths about investing and I loved how he seperated the Employees and Self Employed on the left side and the business owners and investors on the right side. I am starting to invest into some mutual funds, and plan to get educated to sell and invest in real estate. I know just about everyone in the world is described well in this book. For example, my grandfather is a self employed person and belives it is wrong to obtain any money through investments. My dad on the other hand thinks it is foolish to only rely on a job or being self employed. I just want a career and to have most of my money towards investments. Most of my co-workers that have gotten fired are in deep trouble because they never knew or took advantage of the information in this book. If they have investment money, then they wouldn't have to be worried about getting fired. Buy this book! If you don't, you will never be aware of investment opportunities, and will have no choice but to take orders your whole life. Remember, what you do with the paycheck in your hand is your choice. If you blow it all to consume, then you will be poor. If you take the paycheck and put some of it towards investments each time, then you will be getting out of the rat race quicker. But like Kiyosaki says "The choice is up to you"

Summary: Are you carrying buckets or are you building a pipeline?
Review: If you are rich, poor, or somewhere in between, this is the book for you! Those who read this book, and GET IT, will be amazed at how simple it is to understand money. I have read this one several times, and have found it more and more informational every time. This stuff should be required reading in every school; private, public, primary, secondary, and every college in the world!

A sure classic!

Summary: "Ranks right up there with the immortal classics"
Review: Few publications can rank in terms of both content and worth with the masterpieces of the past, such as "Think And Grow Rich", and "The Richest Man In Babylon".

And then, there was Robert Kiyosaki.

I need say no more, except what I said about "Rich Dad Poor Dad".

Summary: the cashflow quadrant
Review: This book was very, very informative. It makes you think about how you're living your life. It has made me focus on trying to build up my assets so that i can retire early in life and start enjoying my life when i'm in my 40's not my 60's, Actually, after reading this book i went out and bought a 12unit property that has a 1800/mo positive and a 4 unit that has an 800/mo positive. Those two transactions will now pay for a large portion of my mortgage and with 2 more in escrow, i hope to have all my bills paid, every month without ever using my own earnings to pay for them. This book really opened my eyes. I would recommend this book to everyone.

Summary: Somewhat Informative- But Very Annoying
Review: First, this book does make many good suggestions, and brings much to light that will help people. However, much of what is said is common sense, and I am skeptical as to how many people can accomplish things in the manner that the author did, and suggests to do.

The book points out: debt is bad, income from investments are good(business ownership, or otherwise) which allows you to work less and less, to accomplish something stop thinking about it and go out and do it, be patient for results, don't give up hope, set attainable goals, doing is the best way to learn how to do, and a few other proverbs. While these are good pieces of advice, many of them are well known and obvious.

Additionally, the manner in which the book is presented is very aggravating. Even the cover makes the book look like something you would see peddled on a late night infommercial. Not to mention, he pushes his game (well now he has several so....) like a corner crack dealer throughout the entire book, and touts its wonderful teaching ability. And, he continually talks about how you can do exactly what he did/does, but he should point out that it is BECAUSE of you that he can do what he does for you are supporting him by buying his book. A bit self-fullfilling I suppose.

But, it does give some good advice and definitely boosts confidence. If you want to read it, I would recommend checking it out from the library or borrowing a friend's copy. If you have the money, it does give a different perspective than most books I have read, and it is an easy read.

Summary: A WASTE OF TIME!
Review: This book is nothing more than an info-mercial in print form with a purpose of selling you expensive tapes and a $300.00 board game! By the looks of others reviews, his rhetoric is working.

Kiyosaki simply uses an age old tactic here: greed. He will make you feel stupid and guilty for having a safe, secure job or your very own business, no matter how much you make you are a rat in a rat race. He then boasts about all of his riches and possesions to get you dreaming. Once this is accomplished, you worship his every word and buy his tapes which supposedly teaches you step by step what to do with your money.

Folks, wake up! He is using the same tactics that most network marketing "businesses" use. In my experience, those that do, do. Those that can't do teach. If he is a millionare, I would bet that its from selling this stuff. This book has a very immature feel to it, its like "HA HA, I have all this money and you dont. What are you going to do about it? Keep slaving away at your job the rest of your life?"

Keep your money and put it in a diversified mutual fund, which by the way is what "uninformed, average investors do with thier money" according to Kiyosaki. Excuse me! This is the best stock market ever in history! It has been escalating for 10 years! What am I missing here?

My opinion is that he is a very poor writer, he wrote "my rich dad said", or "my poor dad said" so many times it made me crazy. I am going to continue being a "rat" and return this book for a personal financial planning guide which I was looking for in the first place.

Summary: Must Read Book
Review: This book is a must read. My husband and I have been increasing our net worth through real estate for several years. This book helped us realize the potential we were missing because we have been too busy working for other people. My husband does not like to take the time to read books so I purchased "Cash Flow" the game, he understood exactly what the book outlined by playing the game and watching the video.

Summary: The Guide book to Financial Freedom
Review: This book made me think. This book told me what I can do to achieve financial freedom. It is helping me to to face the real me and conquer my fear of not acting. Robert Kiyosaki and his co-author have made concepts very easy to understand, even for beginners. If someone is not happy with where he is at, this is a guide book to show you what you can do to get to where you are happy at. The key is to doing something about it. Robert said, "Take Action." all the time in the book.
