Summary: A Matchless Reading Experience
Review: Two friends, both retired English teachers, and I have just completed the wonderful experience of reading Don Quixote. We met every other week, reading and discussing about 100 pages at a time. This was a labor of love --each of us found Don Quixote to be fabulously interesting and provocative. The stories read so effortlessly, and the characters of Don Quixote and Sancho Panza are so compelling, that we all felt great sadness at the conclusion of the work. The translation was brilliantly readable -- funny, heart-breaking at times, always accessible and engaging. For me, it has been one of the great reading experiences I have ever had. Thank you Ms. Grossman, and of course, thank you to Cervantes and his brilliant creation.
