Rating: Summary: Agatha Christie's Mystery Paralell To None Review: Agatha Christie's "And Then There Were None" is excellent. It is pure Christie mysteries: suspicion falling on everyone in turn, suspense, twisted plot and intrigue. It is ruined if it is given away, so read for yourself!
Rating: Summary: Great book! Review: Another great by Agatha Christie! Now I can understand why she is considered to be one of the literary greats of the 20th century. This book is a perfect mix of sadness, intrigue, and mystery. Once again Christie's wild twists and turns captivates the audience. Never a dull moment in this book!
Rating: Summary: Excellent--but so is the play! Review: I certainly agree with all these fanatical reviews. But I feel I must defend the play. Yes, it's simpler, and more innocent, but it's not a cop-out. The reviewer of Jan. 11, 1999 should note that Lombard and Vera are NOT murderers in the play--they both wind up being innocent of their charges, so it is not a matter of two murderers getting married.Having said that, the book is certainly wonderful, extremely detailed and of course suspenseful.
Rating: Summary: this was wonderful! Review: At the school library, I was short of time so I pulled the first book I saw off the shelf. Little did I know that this would become my most favorite book ever! The whole story is a climax (exept for maybe the very beggining) that kept me up from 7 to 12 one night. I just had to finish it! I totally recommend this book!
Rating: Summary: And Then There Were None Review: This was an excellent book. This was also the first Agatha Christie book I've ever read. The characters and use of symbolism made the story even better. The ending was very surprising! This is a book that you must read.
Rating: Summary: The Best Review: Wow! I LOVED this book! I have read eight or nine of Agatha Christie's books and this one is the best. I was up from 3:00-5:00am reading it because there was never a dull point.
Rating: Summary: Wonderful! Review: Wow, this was a really great book, it was the first book I ever read that I really LOVED. But lets face it, Agatha Christie has never been known for overly intelligent writing, but for what this novel lacks in depth, it more than makes up for in excitement and entertainment, I could hardly put it down.
Rating: Summary: An Intriuging Book Review: Agatha Christie's classic tale of murder, intriuge, and the clever mind of a sociopathic killer. Character development is crystal clear. Though I found the identidy of the murderer obvious towards about the last 40 pages of the book, I was drawn in.The idea of being stuck on an island with a murderer whose idea you have no idea of is terrifying, and gives us all chills. I never found a dull moment in any part of the book, and i don't think anyone who reads it will. Christie has once again spun a spider web of terror to make us shiver at night. An excellent read that will leave you thirsty for more.
Rating: Summary: I loved the book! Review: This book is one of the best stories I ever read. We read is for my english class. We also watched the movie, "Ten Little Indians".
Rating: Summary: A wonderful, suspenseful mystery Review: I read this book in my 9th grade English class and admittedly the guy who sat in front of me ruined the ending - but I know that I would NEVER in a million years have been prepared for that. Agatha Christie does an excellent job with all aspects of this book: it is well laid-out and planned, the characters are gripping in and of themselves, and the situation is enough to make you shudder without reading the book. If you like mystery this is the book for you.
