Rating: Summary: Very practical ways of dealing with stress. Review: This book is about how to deal with many different sources of stress (in the 1940's, when this book was written, stress was called worry). The principles are as sound now as they were fifty years ago. I am the author of the book, Self-Help Stuff That Works, and I know what works and what doesn't. Carnegie's book is packed with useful ideas you can apply today and gain relief from stress, worry, tension, and fatigue. Like his other popular book, Carnegie gives you short, pithy principles you can easily remember and apply, illustrated by entertaining true examples, often of how famous people applied the principles. It is good reading, and when you're done, you'll have the tools you need to feel good more often.
Rating: Summary: THE PANECEA OF ALL WORRIES!! Review: I just read this book and saw a total transformation in my attitudetowards worries and ingratuitude. One line from this book "GRATITUDEIS THE FRUIT OF GREAT CULTIVATION. YOU WON'T FIND IT IN GROSS PEOPLE" helped me in understanding the past disappointments which I had when no one expressed gratitude to me. This is only one example which I want to quote. Undoubtedly, one of the rare gems is this book. Read it as early in your life as possible. KEEP SMILING!

Rating: Summary: For everyone who says the glass is half empty. Review: If your looking for a book to help calm your nerves or sooth your troubles you've found it. With his logical approach towards life's concerns, Dale Carnegie gives you back the perspective you always had but have since forgotten. In a classical style of writing the author curtails several famous quotations and writings, while tying up each chapter neatly. He gives simple principles that you can remember, while reassuring you in yourself, and in your God given abilities. I remember I was quite distraught when a business associate handed me this book. He said that it had helped him and that he wanted me to have it. I gave it a read, and the funny thing is I felt better within the first three chapeters. There is something unique about Dale Carnegie's books that leaves you with a contagious positivity. And so with such positivity I recommend this book to all individuals searching for another perspective on life.
