Summary: Michael Moore at his Funniest
Review: Michael Moore, thank goodness we have people like him around. He tells it like it is to the dismay of stupid rich white men everywhere, and often does it in a way that makes you laugh, something Politicians need to learn how to do. Some people like the person who gave the book a 1 star, just don't get it, Michael Moore has been criticizing abuse of power whenever he sees it, inlcuding during the Clinton years(see the film THE BIG ONE), as the poor reviewer doesn't understand.
IF you liked Studid Rich White Men, you will love this one, the insights are truly disturbing and will wake anyone with a heart up to the twisted and corrupt things that are going on in the White House under the Bush Administration. Highly Recommended.

Summary: Very Good, Very Funny, and Very True
Review: I received Michael Moore's latest two days ago from Amazon.com. I read it in one afternoon. Moore throws the punches at this administration, the corporate suck-ups that still haven't realized that they had it better under Clinton, the military talking heads that lied about Iraq, the Saudi royal family that have been quoted saying that Barbara and George Sr are just like their own parents... And of course he constantly appeals to Junior himself to let some sunshine into his staged quotes and propagandist pony shows which bolster the worst of the above.AND Finally, some one has the courage to say that there is no increased terrorist threat. We will always be in danger but quite unlikely to be victims. Plain and simple. There are always going to be incidents of terror whether we dismantle our society or not. The book is humorous yet it does not fail to alarm. It is also informative. I had no idea that some corporations take out life insurance policies on their workers placing the corporation as the beneficiary. Peasant insurance or Janitor's insurance is the insiders' phrase for such a practice. Despicable. But, have no fear. Michael hits back and he is ready and willing to support any Democrat that will help this nation back on track. How? By making the removal of GWB a priority. Look out Oprah, you are part of Michael's plan. Moreover, look out Junior...Michael has got you pegged and your vaction at the White House is nearly over.

Summary: What We Needed
Review: Michael Moore really lays it on the line in this book. He challenges the Bush administration to answer some tough questions which have been boiling up recently. For example, did you know that the Bush family has close personal ties with the bin Laden family? It seems hard to believe, but it's true. Do you know why we haven't put more pressure on Saudi Arabia for their support of terrorists? It's because the Bush family is also close friends with the ruling Saud family. Remember Enron? Well, Ken Lay, the CEO of Enron, hasn't been charged with any crimes. Could this be because he is a close friend of George W. Bush? Are you starting to see a pattern? It's a cozy little world, isn't it? Too bad you aren't a part of it. My favorite chapter is th eone in which he outlines how to stop terrorism. Creating a PR department in the White House isn't one of the solutions. Already people can't trust what the White House says, of the create a PR department to churn out propoganda, then it will just decrease people's confidence in what the government tells them. The real solutions are things like treating our allies like allies and not like enemies. Stop taking care of dictators and strongmen in third world countries. And at least pretend to care about people's lives in third world countries (even better--actually CARE). There is a lot of arrogance in our current foreign policy, and everyone notices that but us. Also Moore goes after the filthy rich (as usual). These rich are becoming richer and richer at the expense of everyone else. He goes on to show how these rich have set up a system in which average people protect the priveledges of the rich because they dreat to be rich themselves someday, but the system is rigged. The dream is still there, but the reality is different. It's becoming more and more difficult to enter into the new aristocracy of the hyper-rich. How much longer will it take for people to see the reality of the situation? Well, this book is an entertaining and enlightening read. If you enjoyed Moore's other books, you shouldn't hesitate to pick this one up. Also, he give advice in his last chapter for action you can take to help change this administration. Check it out and do what you can do to make this country and world a better place.

Summary: Michael Moore is a propagandist
Review: He basically admits to this when he sees how others catch his lies and 'adjusts' his 'documentaries' to be still false, yet differently. This book is just more of the same. Lie about Bush, lie about what Bush says and does, repeat the lies of those who oppose Bush. All you need to know about Moore is this: his early days were spent whining about GM closing a factory in Flint, Michigan and "leaving people without jobs". (Were they helpless?!) So now that Moore is worth millions, does he live in Flint? Of course not! Why aren't you providing jobs in Flint, Michigan, Mr. Moore?! Shame! SHAME! SHAME!!!!!

Review: This book is so phony in terms of it being a serious discussion, with humorous aspects, of current issues that it boggles the mind. Reading this book is a worse experience than root canal work.

Review: It is really horrifying to know that someone actually thinks this way - and even more so that people follow him. So much has been dispelled, and yet he (and many others) persist with the same arguments.
I wonder why he never bothered writing a book about Clinton's questionable past, or any liberal candidates.

Review: I just received Dude, Where's My Country and I read it in record time. From cover to cover (pardon the cliche), I was astonished and angered and filled with hope and in the end motivated. I felt like I was intentionally held in the dark for too long. I have followed Mr. Moore since I saw the movie Roger & Me. I have yet to be misled. I am grateful for a country that lets his voice be heard, but I am disgraced by a country that silences or disregards so many other voices in the name of greed and capitalism. A democracy is for the people, why did we kill 6000 of Iraq's people in order to install a Democracy (that doesn't sound like we had the Iraqi people in mind). Not one of the 9/11 hijackers were Iraqi. Fifteen of them were Saudi's. How have the Saudi's suffered since 9/11? Not at all, for the full story, tap into this book. You will be glad you did.

Summary: Funny, frightening, a blueprint for activism
Review: Michael Moore is as subtle as a knee to the groin, and that's why America needs him. In fact, only America creates the corporate outrages that inflame a Michael Moore, and only America offers the First Amendment protection for critics such as Michael Moore. If you read this book--really read it, all the way through--and still find it in your heart and wallet to support BushCo, well, that's your problem, I mean, "privilege." However, if you find yourself outraged but wondering how one ordinary person can make a difference, Mike has some suggestions for you--websites to scan, numbers to call, simple things you can do (such as escort a non-voter to the polls). The one-star Bush loyalists posting here appear not to have read the book. Amazon can't prevent that, but those who read the reviews can form your opinions based on those reviewers who HAVE read the book.

Summary: A Class "A" Hypocrite
Review: During the Clinton years, we heard little or nothing from this guy. Now that we have a Republican in office, Moore is making millions. And it's this Republican Administration that he calls "hypocritical." He has sold more books and movies under the very admistrations he has criticized. The first example of this hypocrasy was under the Reagan administration of the 1980s. At the time this book hit the shelves, arguments against the war in Iraq were already showing themselves to be false. But some people will never believe the truth. Scary.
