Rating: 5 stars
Summary: A Caring Tale
Review: This book is one of my children's favourites. The illustrations are beautiful and adorable and the writing is exellent in helping children read because it repeats familiar phrases. It is also one of the few books I've read that has a male care-giver with a child and I think it is wonderful. I hope there are many more to come.

Summary: Can't You Sleep Little Bear?
Review: This is the perfect book for a 1st or 2nd grader. It's easily understandable and it reminds me of a child, not able to sleep at night. The child continues to pester the parents with "but Mom/Dad, i can't sleeeeeep!"

The book has some pretty well drawn illustrations that can easily be followed as reading the book. I gave this book 5 stars based on what I believe a 6 year old would think of it. If your older your not going to appreciate this book like a youngin' would.

My favorite character is Little Bear...seeing as there are only two characters in the story. Little Bear is cute as a button and reminds me of my brother, trying to get to sleep at night, finding it difficult.

Summary: This is a great book!
Review: We read this book over and over to our two year old. He lovesthe pictures and thinks of nite time when dusk comes around. My son recognizes the dark now thanks to little bear pointing it out to him. I also enjoy the relation to the other little bear book "Lets Go Home Little Bear". I like the series and hope to see more Little Bear books published. A big hand for Martin Waddell and Barbara Firth.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Charmy and inspirational in its warmth and simplicity
Review: When I think of this book I chuckle. Barbara Firth's warm and enchanting illustrations help to deliver the message of caring and concern by the parent figure (Big Bear) and the sometimes unintentionally frustrating nature of children(Little Bear). The picture of them cuddled in the arm chair at the end of the book is priceless. My 6 year old son read this book to me and, when he got to the line " Little Bear is the little bear and Big Bear is the big bear...", I remember thinking perhaps this should be obvious. Paddy summed it up in two words... "well... duh!" Otherwise, the story was just as delightful as the illustrations.
