Rating: Summary: WOW! Review: Foley is not only the best wrestler of all time, but has written a terrific book as well. It is funny, entertaining and endearing just like Foley himself.
Rating: Summary: A must-read autobiography for everyone (not just fans) Review: Mick Foley has written a book that should be read... it's just that simple. It doesn't matter if you've been a long time fan of wrestling or a long time opponent. This book, while existing mostly in a wrestling setting, speaks deeply on many aspects of life in general. Yes, it does provide wonderful insight to the hottest thing on TV today, but more than that, it opens a window to the soul of an intelligent, loving, devoted and damn entertaining man.
Rating: Summary: Mick is a very honest and genuine human being Review: I loved this book. It gives you a rare peek into the life of one of the most excited wrestlers on the earth. I've read it twice already and it only gets better. Worth a look even if you don't like or have never watched wrestling. BUY THIS BOOK!
Rating: Summary: groundbreaking Review: Mick Foley transcends the rigid formulations by which most autobiographers are imprisoned. He fashions a tale of wild eccentricity and humanity at the same time, rising to the level of a Steinbeck or a young Salinger. It stands as a monolithic effort by a first time writer and a chapter in American pop consciousness that is ignored only at a realist's peril and overlooked at the expense of an absurdist's very soul.
Rating: Summary: A must-read for any true wrestling fan! Review: The book, quite simply, is fantastic. It takes you on the long ride from Foley's early childhood through the days dreaming of being Dude Love to his first matches to his days as WWF Champion. It's an awesome insight into the business and also into the mind and heart of Mick Foley, one of the toughest and most inspiring wrestlers out there. Any wrestling fan out there absolutely needs to read this book.
Rating: Summary: This book is a constant thriller; great entertainment. Review: This is one of the most entertaining books that I have ever had the privilege of reading. It was very difficult to put it down once I started reading. If you're looking for a high quality action book, pick this up. You won't be disappointed!!
Rating: Summary: Intelligent Review: This gives an intelligent view on how the wrestling world operates, and the struggles of the wrestler and his own personal life.
Rating: Summary: Well written and greatly detailed!!!!!!!!!!!! Review: This book describes that wrestling is a tough sport and not just anyone can wrestle. It is VERY well written and highly detailed, and is a must for everyone who is a fan of wrestling or Mankind. Mick Foley did a great job and proves that why Mick is one of the toughest competitors in the WWF and in life!!!!!!!!!!!
Rating: Summary: View from one of the Dozens Review: To be honest, I didn't know what to expect. I love Mankind as a wrestler, but I doubted his writing abilities. That is until now. If you like wrestling, I HIGHLY recommend this book.
Rating: Summary: A great book full of comedy and the life of a true wrestler Review: Mankind is an amazing person, and i'm not just saying that because i am a wrestling fan. Everything you would want to know about someone is in this book. This man led a funny life, and a daring one.
