Rating: Summary: Absolutely Great Review: I'm not a big wrestling fan. Growing up I used to watch wrestling quite frequently and as an adult, as I was channel surfing, I would catch a few minutes every now and then on Monday nights. Even with the little I watched I had seen a few segments with Mankind/Dude Love/Cactus Jack. When I read the reviews for this book (all good!)I decided to buy it. If only because I was interested in the behind the scenes action of the "sport". I was astonished by this book. It is so well written, it flows so well, and it is so funny, that I finished it in 5 days (and for me to finish a 700+page book in that time is a testament to how captivating it is). Mick Foley is simply brilliant. Some of the stories were so funny I was laughing out loud. Some of the fight descriptions were so brutal I was amazed at the punishment Mick Foley went through in the name of entertainment(unbelievable punishment...but true!).I highly recommend this book to anyone ,wrestling fan or not. Well done and Bravo Mick!!!! You've earned every good thing life has to offer... and then some.

Rating: Summary: Mick Foley! The Name say's it all!! Review: Well!! after buying this book in early 2000 and completing it in 2 days...When I was just 14..I was thinking as I browsed thew shops...where is that book that i've heard so much about in the US...And there it was...Right in front of me..Have A Nice Day! I took it home and began to read and with lots of intrigue as he told of his accounts of school and trying to get a date for himself...I felt that parts where he was describing his travels whilst working for Danny Danucci in his wrestling school were excellently portrayed..From his times in wcw to ecw to his wwf days as Mankind...Cactus Jack and the man he modelled himslef on as a teen DUDE LOVE!..His tales of his boyhood days when he flew of his house onto the ground was astounding as well as his detailed word for word description of King of The Ring '98 with The Taker...telling us that the guys waiting for Autographs would rather see Sable than to see a man who just risked his life for the fans..Mick telling us his best match ever was at Mind Games '96 against then wwf Champion Shawn Michaels and telling us about what happened in Munich in '94. Yes his ear. Have A Nice Day! was book of the year for the wrestling fan and also people not interested in the sport...I would truly walk up to Mick Foley in the street..with my head held high and tel him of all of the good things that he has done for the fans as well as charities and visits...Foley Is GOOD!!
Rating: Summary: A Great Book Review: A brilliant Autobiography that documents the life of Mick Foley. It takes you from to Mick's childhood years to his present occupation in the WWF. It doesn't just talk about his wrestling career it talks about his life outside of the WWF sports entertainment. It has much humor in it and it is a must read book.
Rating: Summary: Faces of Foley Review: Mankind: Have a Nice Day is an autobiography about the life of Mick Foley. The book has everything in it: suspense, action, and mystery. Out of the many books that there are, this one could possibly be one of the best I ever read. Like I said before, this is a book about the amazing life of Mick Foley. I give him a lot of credit just because he wrote this whole book by himself. There was no ghostwriter. He spent his own time, while traveling, writing this book on 700+ pages of notebook paper. For a person who is never in a place for more than three days, actually spent time to write this book. Another thing that is amazing by that is that he has had numerous concussions, been exploded by a C4 explosive, has been wrapped in barbed wire, thrown off of a fifteen foot hell-in-a-cell, thrown threw a fifteen foot hell-in-a-cell twice, and lost half of his ear while in a match. From all of that, it sounds pretty amazing that this guy, who wrote this great book, is actually still alive. The beginning of the book starts out with how he lost an ear in Munich, Germany. That is not a good spot to start out, but it is also a good spot to start out in another viewpoint. It is not a good spot, because after that chapter, it starts to talk about his childhood. It is kind of out of place. I think it is a good spot to start out, because it gets you to know what kind of book this is. He describes his matches well, and for some of those matches, he talks about the moves he does and the blood running down his face. Other than that, the King of the Deathmatch, did a really good job at writing this book. You can call Mick Foley many names, such as Mankind, Dude Love, Cactus Jack, the King of the Deathmatch, the King of Hardcore, or anything you like, but in this story, you might actually feel bad for some of the things he went through during his childhood and even his wrestling career. He tells stories of the Dude Love movies, his luck with girls, how he met his wife, the many furious battles with the Undertaker, and how he won his first World Wrestling Federation Championship. All of the stories are well described and make sense, even if you do not like wrestling or know nothing about it. The book even has jokes about Al Snow, which are actually funny, if you know who he is. Mankind: Have a Nice Day is one of the best books I have ever read. If I would rate this book on a ten point scale, it would get a perfect score of ten. I really do recommend reading this book. It is worth the $25 it costs to buy it. For all of the fans of Foley, even the ones that think "Foley is God", have a nice day.
Rating: Summary: Foley is GOD!!! Review: I have three words, FOLEY IS GOD!!! His accounts of his wrestling matches were incredible. His humor kept me interested the whole way through. I would recommend this book to anyone, wrestling fan or not. I just can't wait until his next book comes out May, 8. This book was so awesome.
Rating: Summary: So good you could read it in one sitting. Review: This is the life story of Mick Foley. This book is a good read for anybody, not just a wrestling fan. I highly reccomend it to anybody. Mick tells you about his child hood, how he became a wrestler and how it had always been his dream. It will leave you in disbelief because the things that Mick Foley has done most people would think wasn't possible. You are stupid not to buy this book and after you read it you will feel like you have to reccomend it to a friend.
Rating: Summary: Foley is a genius Review: He may not look it, but Mick Foley is a brilliant writer. I have followed Foley's career for years, and have admired him greatly. If you've ever wanted a behind the scenes look at pro wrestling, buy this book. If you want to read a touching, humorous, facinating and brilliantly written autobiography, buy this book. No ghostwriters. All from the mouth of the Hardcore Legend. Foley is cool!!!
Rating: Summary: Have A Nice Day!: A Tale of Blood and Sweatsocks Review: Man! This was a fabulous book. Mick Foley takes you places in wrestling that you've never been before. It's 500+ pages of pure emotion. I like Mick's take on well...everything. He gives you a behind the scenes look on his life in general. You get to see how he went from the indys to the world of professional wrestling. He is one of the only men to excel in the World Wrestling Federation, World Championship Wrestling and Extreme Championship Wrestling. He also tells about his many injuries and how he got them all. Buy this book...
Rating: Summary: Best wrestling book ever written Review: This is the best pro wrestling book ever written. The Rock's book stinks. Chyna's book stinks. Goldberg's book will put you to sleep. The WrestleMania book isn't even all that hot. But, FOLEY's book is great! A must read for any wrestling fans. Long-time die-hard fans will get the true story on how Ric Flair is a pompus jerk. And why WCW desereved to die in the early 90's instead of just recently. If you claim to like pro-wrestling and don't read this book, then please do us all a favor and stop watching wrestling!
