Rating: Summary: FUNNY AS HELL AND EASY TO READ Review: Have a nice day if a great book that is funny and great to read. I've never read such a long book that took me so little time with so much content. Its the kind of book that you can never put down because it always keeps you laughin 10 OUTTA 10!
Rating: Summary: WOW Review: I origanly bout the book because i am a wrestling fan but it was so good that my non-wrestling fan friends wanted to read it. it is well written and the best thing ive read in a long time
Rating: Summary: great, a must have for any wrestling collection Review: in this book you get a real feeling of e\what it is like to go throught hell, littlerlly hell, and still get up
Rating: Summary: This book is a must read! Review: The book is absolutely fantastic! You follow Foley all through his life at home, and in the wrestling world as well. It is entertaining and absolutely hysterical. You also get to see a different side of Mankind, the family man. He talks in great detail about his family and how much he truly loves them. For wrestling fans, this book gives you the inside scoop on some of Mick's greatest matches and he also let's you in on a couple secrets too. From wrestling fan to non-wrestling fan, you will enjoy the book thoroughly. It is a guarenteed must read!
Rating: Summary: Reading this book made me Have a Nice Day Review: I'm a avid wrestler fan and I love Mick Foley's personality. But my family could not stand wrestling until they read the book. Now they only watch it when they know that Foley/Mankind will be on. It's a great book (it's his book), and I think that even if you are not a wrestling fan, you will definately get a better look at wrestling.
Rating: Summary: Mick is My Hero Review: Mick Foley is an amazing performer and equally articulate. His memory is astounding especially considering the beating that his cranium has endured. As others have mentioned, his literary style is a very easy read and you really do feel as if you're sitting in his living room as he recounts his life stories. Mick's in-ring abilities are only outshined by his genuine humility and respect for the business and his co-workers. Congratulations on a great book and making the NY Times Best Seller list!
Rating: Summary: A triumph for all Mankind! Review: I received the book one day - finished it the next. As one of the dozens and dozens of his fans, I was rewarded greatly by this humorous, honest, sometimes brutal, and always entertaining adventure called Mick Foley's life. It goes to show, not only should we worship the sock, but we should stand in awe of the brilliant mind behind it! Mrs. Foley should be proud!
Rating: Summary: Mick Foley's genius is limitless Review: Have a Nice Day is a must read, and not just for wrestling fans. Mick's life is an example of daring to dream and then following that dream no matter what. Mick is an inspiration who has paid his dues and reaped the praise his battered body endures. READ THIS BOOK AND UNDERSTAND WHY MICK FOLEY IS KING!!!!!
Rating: Summary: A tale of courage and inspiration Review: I bought this book on Thursday and read it by Sunday. I couldn't put it down. Mr. Foley has somehow turned the ordinary into the exraordinary. Anytime I get discouraged, I will remember this book and the tale of this brave man who gave everyting of his body for his family and his fans. I wish all wrestlers could be as self-sacrificing as Mr. Foley is. His stories engulf your mind and set the stage for ultimate understanding of the human mind and the human heart. I started this book as a non-Foley fan, went out and bought The Three Faces Of Foley, and bought a copy of the Japanse Death Macthes. Mick, one thing. Tell Terry Funk that we want to read his story too. May be you should help him.
Rating: Summary: Mick Foley is a true superstar!! Review: Mick's story is a warm, genuine, honest look into both his remarkable life and the remarkable world of professional wrestling. True fans of 'sports-entertainment' will love the details and the stories and 'inside info', and non-fans, should they read this book, will find that it is a fascinating life story, written (very well) with honesty and candor and lots of humor. Mick's writing style reminds me of Stephen King's, the way he draws you into the atmosphere of the tale he's telling. Wonderful book!! Mick is truly a man of many talents! Buy this book and read it at least twice, and then share it with friends!
