Rating: Summary: One of the best I've read Review: Mick Foley can now add "Best-seeling author" to his resume. In this autobiography Mick's story-telling ability shines through as he weaves the intricate tale of his life. The book is very easy to read through, and you feel like Foley is sitting next to you telling the story. I couldn't put this book down when I got it and finished it in one night. Towards the end it seems as if Mick is plugging the WWF a bit, but it does not detract from the overall experience. I highly recommend this for pro wrestling fans and non-fans alike as it gives insight into professional wrestling and one man's life.
Rating: Summary: Great Book Review: A great book that is very readable and entertaining. If kids need a role model Mick Foley is the man. Mick shows himself to be a truely decent human being, a man of integrity, kindness, and a loving dad and husband. A great look into the world of pro wrestling.
Rating: Summary: THE MAN , THE LEGEND Review: WHAT IS BEST ABOUT THIS BOON IS NO GHOST WRITERS! FINALLY SOMEONE WRITES THIER ON THOUGHTS.
Rating: Summary: There is nothing fake about this book. Review: Wrestling fans all over the world already know what kind of man Mick Foley is. He is a caring family man and genuine human being outside the ring. In the ring, he has given possibly more of himself to the sport that he loves than anyone else, ever. Now everyone can find out. This is not just a wrestling book although it does have some great storys told only how Foley could. It also delves into what wrestling has meant to his life. The sacrifices that Foley himself and his family have had to make. Mick Foley is an amazing man and this is an amazing book.
Rating: Summary: THE BEST Review: I read this book in three days . Mick foley's writing style is so personal , you fell like he's in the room telling you his story. It's the best book I've read in forever. Mick is a great person and has lived a wild life. He is the man. what else is to say but FOLEY IS GOD ! What are you waiting for BUY IT !
Rating: Summary: One of the Most Riveting True Stories I Have Read in Ages Review: Now, I am not what would be referred to as a "avid" reader, but years of college text books tend to do that to you. However, I occassionally come across a book that I simply can not put down. This is one of those books. There truly is substance and character both in this book and the man who wrote all 503 pages of it. I would recommend this one to wrestling fans and non-fans alike. This tale of turmoil and triumph is a great read and should really be given a second look by skeptics. Two thumbs up!
Rating: Summary: have a nice day! Review: i have been quite a fan of micks for the last few years, and not because of a sock, or anything silly like that. i have admired him for his effort and determination in his performance, and he always does his best no matter what. he says it best when he says that if mark mcgwire were injured, he wouldnt keep playing, but wrestling, which is supposedly the fake sport, has stars who do. such as foley. it was interesting and entertaining reading about his early years, as well as his wcw, ecw, iaw, and wwf years. a great book that many non wrestling fans could probably appreciate. it is very humorous and down to earth, but if you are squeamish, look out. bang bang!
Rating: Summary: What a terrific book... Review: I read it from cover to cover and couldn't put it down. This isn't one of those manufactured bios ghostwritten and slapped together. Mick Foley does a brilliant job of telling his story in a very entertaining and humorous and inspirational way.Watching Foley's act from week to week you can tell he's a little more cerebral and introspective than the average WWF star This book is not just for the wrestling fan, I would recommend it to anyone.
Rating: Summary: THE MOST ELECTRIFYING BOOK EVER Review: When I wrote this I was only half way threw the book but already it is one of if not the best book I have ever read. It's so good that some times I get so into the book that I loose track of time.I strongly suggest this book to everyone.
Rating: Summary: One of the greatest Books ever written Review: This book is a great piece of writing, especially concidering that the writer does not specialize in books, but in wrestling. I, myself, am an avid wrestling fan and a Mick Foley fan but I believe that non wrestling fans will share the same opinion as I about this book. It goes in detail about Mr. Foley's childhood and how he rose against all odds to become one of the greatest wrestlers ever. He has sacraficed himself to many times not to deserve everyone's respect.
