Rating: Summary: I invented sex in a can Review: I think that Mick Foley guy needs to "feel the burn" and "fight the fat." I thought the book was just dazzling with that neat-o smiley face on the cover. I've also always had a thing for sweaty men grabbing each other. Just reading about it makes my heart skip a beat.
Rating: Summary: "Have a Nice Day" Review: This book is truley a must have for all the "foley is god" fans out there. I read this book and felt that I had a close personal relationship with Mick Foley, and I must give six sockos up. Thank you Mick and remember "bang, bang! "
Rating: Summary: Mankind at his best! Review: This is absolutely brilliant! From the days that he had to try and get bookings and worked with his trainer DeNucci, to the days in WCW where, in Germany, he got his ear ripped off and in the WWF where he had his infamous 'Hell In A Cell' match. The book is completely packed with everything to do with Cactus Jack, Mankind, Dude Love and just plain ol' Mick Foley. A brilliant book for a brilliant wrestler. If the Rock and Austin's autobiographies are as good as this, I'm buying 'em! FIVE HUGE STARS!
Rating: Summary: A tale of blood and sweatsocks------- this and much more! Review: I really loved this book! Mick Foley has a great talent to write, really! He describes sad things such as the death of Owen Hart so you have to cry. But then he shares some memories of him and I was laughing so hard! Mick Foley gives you a great look behind the scenes of professional Wrestling. He makes perfectly clear, that it's not "fake". After reading this book, I had so much more respect of Mick Foley and all the other athletes who entertain us day by day, sometimes without thinking about their own health. I would say you have to read it if you're a fan! And if you're not, you will be after reading it! Promised!
Rating: Summary: Excellent and Realistic Literature Review: This autobiography gives new meaning to the word realistic. It is funny, sad and gruesome at times. Obviously, this book does appeal to the wrestling ethusiasts, but I recommend all read it. It brings new light to the so-called "fake" sport of wrestling. I believe those who read it will gain a new respect for wrestlers, considering the time and effort they devote to the profession they love. Overall, the book is great. Surprisingly, all those shots to the head did not affect Mankind's literary talents. The generally summarizes the life of Mankind from the time he was eighteen to now. It reveals many secrets of the profession and discusses his long and hard rode to the top of the sport. I personally suggest all should give it a try and I promise all will be pleased.
Rating: Summary: Mick Foley: Great Book! Review: Have A Nice Day is without a doubt..a great book. I found myself laughing at so many parts. Mick Foley takes you on a funny, bloody and sometimes melancholy romp throught the world of wrestling! I enjoyed every page!
Rating: Summary: One of the Best Books Ever Review: Mick Foley's new book is a very interesting tale of his life. After you finish reading this book, you will never look at Mick Foley the same way again. He tells stories that will make you laugh, cry, and think. He tells all of the hardships that he went through to get to where he is today. This book, I highly think of and even if you are not a wrestling fan, you will still love this book.
Rating: Summary: WWF: Mankind a Tale of Blood and Sweatsocks Review: This book is very good and informational. I bought it from amazon and I think you should too. mIt displays a lot about him. If your a wrestling fan order it now!
Rating: Summary: Mick Foley doesn't have an insincere bone in his body Review: A great read from start to finish. The parts about Owen Hart are crushing. I'm sure many people are shocked to find out that a majority of pro wrestlers are educated and eloquent. As a wrestling fan it was great to read the behind the scenes passages and touching to see how much Mick loves and cherishes his family. If you even think you're remotely interested in this book - read it. I works as a tale of an underdog and a paean to popular culture. Definately not just for wrestling fans
Rating: Summary: Great book! Review: I'd really have to say this is one of the best books I've read in a long time.I could NOT put it down. From the first chapter telling of where he gre up and how he got into wrestling, to the last few chapters from his first couple years in the WWF, it was amazing. The best part was that as his story went on, I started remembering the things he was talking about, as I had seen them on TV. His ending with himself winning the World title was the greatest, because I remember wtching that very moment on TV! I can't say any more, it was an amazing book!
