Summary: A graphic description of a brutal business!
Review: I should mention that I am a WWF fan and I feel that an interset in wrestling is essential for enjoyment of this book. It is a most impressive effort from Mick Foley to write this by himself(as claimed)as most people would assume that a wrestler would stuggle to read a novel let alone write one. I enjoyed the descriptions of his matches and the way in which Mick portrays the 'sports entertainment' nature of wrestling. Yes, the results are predetermined but it is certainly not 'fake'. Surely any non believers could have a read of Mick's interpretation of his classic 'hell in a cell' match with the Undertaker to take a different view of how 'fake' wrestling is. It is good to read a warts and all account of any industry as too often people that are still involved will tone down their comments to avoid hassles with people they still work with. Mick Foley is a straight shooter and his criticism is brutally honest and accurate except in regards to 'The people's elbow'!

Summary: Hail to Mick Foley !
Review: Mick Foley has turned out one of the most "readable" books in a long time. The book takes you to the point where you feel like you are with Mick as he performs his fearless exploits. He is a great ambassador for the sport of wrestling, and an excellent writer to boot! Graet job, Mick

Summary: MICK FOLEY IS TRULY THE BEST!
Review: I'm not a fan of reading for pleasure but this book is definately the best book I have ever read. Mick Foley spilled his blood, sweat and tears over the last 15 years into this book and this book is truly an inspiration. He's been through so much in his life and after reading this book, you find a new found respect for him, if you didn't already. Mick Foley is a remarkable person and I recommend this book to anyone, even if you don't like to read, everyone can gain from reading such a great tale of a great life! Mick Foley truly is the best!

Summary: The best nonfiction book ever
Review: I have read many autobiographies over my life form Iacocca's to Rush Limbaugh's and this one blew them all away. This is an inspiring look at a one of the greatest preformers ever to grace the TV screen. Through hard work and determination a kid achieves his dream, this is what America is all about. It showes that if you want something bad enough and are willing to pay your dues, you can accomplish anything. I loved this book, and will recommend it to all my friends and you as well. Have a Nice Day!

Summary: FOLEY IS GOD!
Review: This book is the greatest literary work of our generation. It has everything a wrestling fan could want. From his storis about Dude Love, to his antics with Steve Austin and DDP, is is a non-stop laugh and cry fest. A true picture into the world of professional wreslting. I went to NY the day after Xmas, and I got this book for Xmas. I finished it by the end of the 5-hour trip. I could not put it down, and right away, I wanted to read it again. BUY THIS BOOK!

Summary: Enthralling..
Review: It is now quite obvious that Mick Foley is an educated man...I only hope that if and when he does decide to retire from Professional wrestling, he has his last fight as 'Mick Foley' so that he can regale in all the celebration as the person who spent his lifetime earning it. I could think of nothing more heart-wrenching (for me anyhow )to see him 'go out' in the grey trackies and the 'red flanny'. The only thing I found wrong with the book was that it had to end. Mick Foley deserves all the accolades and respect that he gets and then some. It will be a long time until the wrestling world sees another 'Star' shine as brightly as Mr Foley has done. Now he can catch up on some of that lost time with his family and friends. Thanks for everything Mick, especially a lasting memory in words..

Summary: A Look at the Life of Pro Wrestler Mick Foley
Review: Coming in at just over 500 pages this book does not keep you turning pages it actually makes you want to skip pages here and there. I found that Foley goes into too much detail about his wrestling matches that happened 5 - 10 years ago. There is pages and pages of stories that are too drawn out. He should have stayed with the formula he used for the first chapter, quick and to the point. Although the stories are a little boring and drawn out sometimes it is worth reading because there are stories that are interesting and funny, so funny that I had to stop reading and laugh out loud 5 or 6 times. Even for a nonwrestling fan this book is worth a read.

Summary: Best Book Ever
Review: I would have to say that this is the best book i have read in my life, if i was able to do as much as Mick Foley in 30 years as he did i would retire.

Summary: Foley IS god
Review: Hardcore Journalism at it's finest. This book arrived on a Monday and I finished it the very next day. Mick Foley really now has made his mark on the world. This book, while a must read for even the casual wrestling fan, would even entertain someone who has never seen a wrestling match. This isn't just the life story of pro-wrestling's most entertaining character, it's the story of every single kid who grew up doubting themselves and thinking they would never really amount to much of anything rising up and and living out thier wildest dreams.
