Summary: A Must Have For All Wrestling Fans
Review: This is the only book for wrestling fans. If you do not own this, what are you waiting for! This book is an easy read and it goes right to the heart and soul of Mick. Read about all the crazy stuff he has done.

Summary: Mankind, Have a Nice Day
Review: Mankind, Have a Nice Day, was a really good book because Mick Foley really gave alot to wrestling, and I also think Mick Foley is the god of HARDCORE. The realy best part in his book was when Mick Foley was the king of death matches in 1995. The thing the I did not like about the book was Mick Foley used BANG BANG in most of the book. I liked when The Rock and Mankind wrestled at Royal Rumble. If you like Mick Foley you would like this book.

Summary: Foley conquers the wrestling world and the book world
Review: I only started watching wrestling in 1997 after about a 10-year hiatus. I remember flipping on the WWF for just a few minutes and seeing a ridiculous guy in brown with a goofy mask. Since then, that goofy guy has gone on to be one of my three favorite wrestlers of all time (along with the Rock and Chris Jericho).

I thought the book would be ghost written and was pleasantly surprised to find out Mick wrote it himself. Not only that, but his writing style is better than most other authors I've read! He has a conversational style that makes you feel like you're sitting in the same room drinking a couple of beers and reminiscing. This really hooks you into the story of a fascinating life.

I think the thing I liked best about the book is the behind-the-scenes stories of Mick's exploits outside the ring with other personalities. I've gained a much deeper appreciation for Mick Foley and I feel that I know the people behind the wrestling characters much better, which just enhances my enjoyment of their performances in the ring and on camera.

Overall, I have to rate this as one of the best books I've ever read, non-fiction or fiction. Good luck with your career outside of the ring, Mick, you're one of the greats!

Summary: Surprised!
Review: I can only say that this book was very enjoyable to read. It is truly well written and I was wonderfully surprised at the depth the book goes into in describing wrestling and its stars. Buy and be surprised like me!

Summary: Bibliophiles gather near!
Review: Not only was this book interesting, but funny, too! There is nothing I enjoy more than laughing out loud, and Mr. Foley did not dissappoint! His history in wrestling was fascinating, and his 'tongue-in-cheek' comments were wonderful! I'm proud to have this biography on my bookshelf!

Summary: Have a Nice Day
Review: Many people know Mankind as a WWF wrestler. Fewer know him as the craziest man ever to set foot in a wrestling ring. Even fewer know him as the business genius, family man, and near-suicidal entertainer that he is. Mick Foley pours his heart out in this book and it shows through his writing. He describes how he has sacrificed everything he has just for a business that he truly loves. He has an incredible story and an even better book that all people, not just wrestling fans, should have to read.

Summary: Long Live MANKIND!
Review: I finished reading Have A Nice Day this morning. All I can say is, WOW! Mick Foley is by far the hardest working S.O.B. in the business. From beginning to end, there is never a dull moment. Mick tells you all you would ever want to know about pro-wrestling. Wrestling fan or not, you must read this book.

Summary: i am not a fan
Review: I have never been a wrestling fan. I thought this book was a joke until another friend of mine convinced me it was a truly good book. I read this book and was amazed. Not by what happens in wrestling because I have always believed you would have to be a real athlete to perform in the ring, nut ny the amazing ability of mick foley to tell a good story. I suggest this book to any sceptics, being one, formerly, myself.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Brilliantly written, a joy for even non-wrestling fans
Review: Page xi: "I really hope that some of the people reading this book are not wrestling fans." I wasn't a wrestling fan when I began this book.

New Year's Eve, 1999. My boyfriend and I are sharing our very first New Year's together. He is reading the Mick Foley book, which he had just received from amazon.com. And he's enjoying it so much that I can't bring myself to ask him to put it down.

(He finished before "the ball dropped" on Time's Square, so I did get my kiss. <g>)

And I began the book on New Year's Day, the first book I read in the year 2000.

The book is incredibly well-written. Its use of proper grammar is MUCH better than that of many "professionals," and only had one typo that I caught. (I try to read a book a week, so I've got a lot of basis for comparison.)

Mick Foley is constantly entertaining. His descriptions, while graphic, are clear to the point of making the reader feel as though s/he is there. His LACK of the use of expletives and explicit sex definitely adds to the story. I'm actually looking forward to the next Pay-Per-View because I feel like I'm Mick's friend.

Furthermore, I love the fact that, no matter who Mick is describing, he can always find at least one nice thing to say about [whomever]. It's relishing to read a show business autobiography in which the writer is not trashing everyone whose path he's crossed.

If baseball players were as principled as Mick Foley, I would still be a baseball fan.

This book is a delight to read.
