Summary: Barbed wire death matches and bad poetry - oh and Mick Foley
Review: When most people hear Mick Foley's name they think of barbed wire death matches, street fights, the infamous 'Hell in the Cell' matches - but after reading this book you will realise that there is much more to this 'Hardcore Legend'. From high school wrestling to the World Wrestling Federation Champion, this is Mick Foley's story. You will laugh helplessly at his poetry and later grimace at the sheer brutality of his matches in Japan - Foley covers all bases with his own unique writing style. Put simply - READ THIS BOOK! After doing so you will never look at the scarred, battered, blood-soaked entertainer or the world of sports-entertainment in the same light again. Oh, and Mick - keep up the good work.

BANG! BANG!

Summary: best book ever!
Review: I truly think that Have A Nice Day is the best book I have ever read. It was hilarious, as well as touching. It was clearly written from the heart. Two of my favorite parts were his songs and the story of him sharing a hotel room with Steve Austin and Diamond Dallas Page. Mick, I hope you read this, and if you do, I want you to know that you are awesome! Mad props to you!

Summary: very entertaining
Review: although i never followed mick foley's carrer as cactus jack when he worked for WCW, i must admit after reading his book that i have a new found respect for the man and his different characters. what i most enjoyed about the book was the honesty about professional wrestling. mick never shied away from the fact that the matches are scripted with the final outcome decided before the bell even rings. i now have a much more favorable view of professional wrestling as a whole knowing that it is entertainment plain and simple. yes the blood is real and the injuries as well, for this mick must be especially commended for going above and beyond in his chosen profession to entertain any and all who purchase a ticket or tune into the USA network to watch him in action. i recommed the book not only for wrestling fans, but for anyone who enjoys a well written story as well. for me it's a book that i will read again.

Summary: Sorry Mick your book is sick
Review: While it is impressive that Mick Foley wrote this book himself, it is also obvious. It is littered with typos and could have benefited from a professional proofreader. This book is the story of Mick Foley and ONLY Mick Foley. He wants you to believe that professional wrestling is more abusive than it really is. Granted I am HUGE fan and put all of the participants squarely in the ATHELETE category. They are tough and do things that amaze me. They don't, however, take nearly the beating that dear Mr. Foley would lead you to believe. I rented the videos of many of the "great matches" that Mick writes about and with the exception of the 1997 "Hell in a Cell" they were all mediocre at best. Sorry Mick. You are a great performer and the best fall guy in the business but you book was a waste of my money. I was hoping for a book that painted a realistic picture of the behind the scenes of professional wrestling. While a fine narrative on Mr. Foley's mostly non-content life, it barely scratches the surface of the business and sport of Professional Wrestling. The world is in dire need of a book that actually brings fans into the inner circle of the sport. This is not that book. I kept reading hoping it would get better it finally did when it read "The End". Wait for the paperback.

Summary: I just finished...........
Review: I just finished reading Mick FOley's book, and I must say that I now have a new respect for him. Not only is a a great in ring wrestler, but he's also a wonderful writer. This man loves his family, and certainly loves what he does. He deserves all this fame. From jumping off Danny Zucker's roof to winning the WWF Title, the Hardcore legend deserves our respect. I guarentee you if you are a wrestling fan, then "Have a Nice Day" is for you!

Summary: I Couldn't Put Mankind Down
Review: This is a great look at the life of a professional wrestler who sacrificed his blood, sweat, and entire body for the dream of making it big. You don't even have to like wrestling to enjoy this book...just understand what it means to sacrifice for something you want.
