Summary: All the Hype
Review: A book poorly written for the average 5th or 6th grader. Definitely a case of the right place at the right time, riding the Wrasslin' hysteria wave. Though most of his accounts are probably true, with all the required name-dropping, it seems to me that he has left alot of stuff out of this book - inane little jokes and repetitiveness fill the pages. Yes, this is a book on the "sport" of wrestling, so who cares about the rest of the stuff that happens surrounding these "athletes," none of them do drugs, mind- nor body- altering, and of course they're all family men, no whoring around for these guys, believe this and Foley really is God. Foley frequently compares himself to professional athletes and now, famous writers, like he has something in common with Stephen King. This book just tells that a bunch of grown children have found their niche in life, being able to continue their backyard wrestling matches on national TV and only realizing they're old (at 30) when their bodies are falling apart from the continuous abuse.

Summary: Is Wrestling Fake? Yes But This Book Is Real!
Review: Whether you are a fan of wrestling or not this book has to be read for the simple fact that it is honest, true and amazingly graphic and true. Relive Mick's battle for acceptance and cringe at some of his tales of in ring and out of ring activities. You will be emersed in a mans life. that is crazy and yet at the same time compelling, a man that has given his all and asked for nothing in return excpet acceptance from his peers and fans alike, something he now has in abundance due to this book. So whether a fan or not do yourself a favour and read this book, you wont regret it!

Summary: Mick Rules!
Review: I think that Mick Foley's book is the best damn book ever in the history of books. If you're not a Mick Foley fan you will be after reading this. It is fun to read and good when he jumps off a friend's roof onto some cardboard boxes and a matress. I would advise anybody to buy it, BUY IT NOW FOR CRYING OUT LOUD!

Summary: a must read for wrestling fans
Review: A TALE OF BLOOD AND SWEATSOCKS is an interesting, inside look at a wrestler's climb to his dream. It gives you a look into the personal life of Mick Foley, and not just the wrestling character. This book will make you appreciate the hard work and determination that it takes to reach the top of the wrestling industry.

Summary: A hard worker gone hero
Review: Mick Foley is what a hard working man is all about. He worked the hadest he could to get where he is today for 15 long years of his life. He isn't the strongest, he isn't the quickest, he's not the most talented,he isn't the beston the microphone, he isn't really the best at any one thing besides taking falls. The reason people like mick foley so much is he worked so hard to get where he is. Thats what this whole book is about. He wasnt an athlete in childhood and still isn't but he explains with great detail his wrestling carrer to present day in this great auto-biography and if i can ever get the chance to met him that would really be an honor because the things he mentions in this bestselling book is just remarkable.

Summary: The most respected wrestler on earth.
Review: This is one of the most enjoyable books I have ever read. The reason this is good is because you get to see the man behind Mankind, Cactus Jack and Dude Love, all different characters. That man is Mick Foley. He begins like a norml person with a dream to become a wrestler and about how hard he trained to fullfill his dream. He then goes on to tell how he got in WCW, ECW and WWF. On the first chapter he starts off with how he lost his ear. He has some funny jokes in there aswell and overall you won't be dissapointed with this book.

Summary: The fans don't lie when they call him a GOD!
Review: I MUST SAY THAT WHEN HE ANNOUNCED EARLIER LAST MONTH THAT HE WAS GOING TO RETIRE, I WAS DEEPLY HURT,AND SHOCK! HERE IS A 34-YEAR OLD FAMILY MAN WHOSE LOVE FOR HIS PROFESSION & HIS LOVING,DEVOTED FAMILY IS AT A ALTIME HIGH. BUT FOR A CAREER THAT'S BOTH AMAZING AND YET EXCRUCIATING AS HIS, I CAN UNDERSTAND HIS DECISION TO STEP DOWN TO BE WITH HIS WIFE & KIDS. I'VE READ THE BOOK,(IN FACT,STILL READING MORE OF IT!) I'VE SEEN HIS CAREER FROM:"ECW","WCW" AND OF COURSE, "WWF", AND I WOULDN'T HAVE KNOWN THE PAIN AND SUFFERING THAT HE & HIS FAMILY GOES THROUGH IF I DIDN'T CATCH THE "20/20" SPECIAL ON HIM & WRESTLING. BUT YOU KNOW WHAT, I STILL LOVE MICK FOLEY,THE MAN AND THE TRUE LEGEND AS WELL AS THE MAN WHO GAVE US THE "THREE FACES OF FOLEY". BECAUSE I HAVE THE BESTSELLER BOOK, THE TAPES OF HIS LEGACY, AND THE FOREVERGLOWING SMILE THAT APPEARS WHEN I SEE HIS FACE, AND HEAR HERE HIM SAY "BANG!-BANG! THOSE ARE THE THINGS THAT WILL STAY WITH ME 4-EVER! --BANG! BANG! (THANK YOU,MICK)

Summary: great!
Review: I feel this book was great.Espicially for the people who think wrestling is fake.I'm not one with reading books but this book opened it up for me.This book is great all out.The only reason i wouldn't give it five stars is that it ha one boring part(about 3 pages only) so i just wanted to tell you how good this book is.
