This quote reminds me of the autobiography by Mick Foley, called Have a Nice Day: A Tale of Blood and Sweatsocks.

Summary: Mankind: Have A Nice Day
Review: I thought this book was muy bien. I have never read a book outside of school, but I bought this as soon as it came out. I finished the book within a week because it was so interesting. I liked the fact that he wrote this book on his own and did not get any help writing it like that panty waist The Rock. I liked the stories he had about wrestling but I think I actually like the stories about being on the road with the wrestlers better. There are some stories such as the cookie story with Diamond Dallas Page that were pretty funny. I liked hearing what he thought about the some of the wrestlers. I especially liked to see him writing about some of the recent stuff that has happened the last couple years because I saw most of the things and I wanted to hear the inside story about them. Some things that he said were very interesting to hear. Overall, this is the best book I have ever read in my life.

Summary: Blood, Sweat, and Lots and Lots of Ink
Review: This was an amazing book.

To let all biases be known, Mick Foley is my favorite wrestler and has been for a number of years. I was very excited to read his book when I first heard of it. I am a huge wrestling fan as well. I will not let these biases affect my review, however.

The first 500 pages or so of this book are phenomenal. It's obviously not written by a literary genius, but Mick has a definite grasp of the English language. Expertly written, and some of the descriptions are better than many authors I've read.

The last 300 pages, however, Mick seems to slack off. His descriptions are less vivid and understandable, and he seems a little bored in his writing. He doesn't crack as many jokes as he did in the earlier part of his book, and he seems to ignore a lot of information. That still doesn't mean this part is bad. =) I read through the last 300 pages just as fast as the first 500. I'm just worried that a non-wrestling fan may get confused at many things in the last part of the book. I know for sure that the "Hell in the Cell" chapter will be torture to read through if you don't previously know what he's talking about. I myself had trouble understanding everything that was going on because his descriptions were lacking so much. Oh well, it's still great. =) And I'm not just saying that because I'm a Mick fan.

I really don't know much else to say. It's an amazing book, but I'd only recommend it for wrestling fans. Non-wrestling fans can read it for the incredible, bust-your-gut humor, but otherwise, it may bore them. For wrestling fans, this book is a dream come true. It spills all the beans on everything, and Mick doesn't hold back much (notice I said "much") on his opinions of others.

Definitely recommended. 5 stars.

Summary: ¿¿¿¿A BOOK FOR ALL MANKIND¿¿¿¿
Review: I read alot, mostly Tom Clancy. To get to the point, after reading this masterpiece, I can't read anything less. This book has a intellegent, funny, and a ·real· view on professional wrestling. This was the best book I've ever read and I'm 13.

Summary: An In Depth View Of The Wrestling World
Review: Probably the best thing about this autobiography is the fact that Mick Foley brings you right up close to the action whether it be in the ring or outside it. Mick gives some witty insights on his fellow comrades which gives the Wrestling fans some good insight of the many characters that appear in the WWF as well as the other federations.

This is not a book for the squeamish, as many of Mick Foley's thoughts seem to stem from a troubled childhood. It is not pleasant to read about Mankind's numerous injuries. What Mankind failed to realize during his career was that he did not always have to play the part of the tortured mascocistic soul. Mick had the ability to win over any crowd with his wit and safe wrestling moves without resorting to jeopardizing his life for a bunch of blood thirsty fans by falling from great heights such as in Hell In A Cell.

Overall, this is an excellent view of the Wrestling Business and all fans who don't mind some blood and gore in their reading should make this a purchase. However, Mick's point of view in some places may be lacking as don't forget all the chair shots to the head can have a long last effect on anyone.

Review: People say that wrestlers don't acomplish anything, but that is not true. Mick Foley has acomplished a lot in his career as a wrestler. After reading Mick Foley's book I thought that I was one of his close and personal friends. It is very unlikely that a wrestler would ever write a best selling novel, but Mick Foley did. In his book he talked about how he got started in the wrestling business and how he has survived it. I personally think that everyone should read this book expecially if they plan to become a professional wrestler or even if they don't like wrestling because they will understand what a wreslter had to go through. This book will make you cry and want to go meet the legenddary Mick Foley. Mick was one of the greatest wrestlers ever.

Review: I have been a wrestling fan for well over 15 years now. There has never been a good selection of wrestling books available. The books that did come available never delved into the wrestler's real lives, just the characters they portray. Foley's book is a must read for all wrestling fans. It touches on his training as well as the backstage politics that all wrestling companies have. I was a Foley fan before. After reading his book and what he went through in his career, I have more respect than ever for him.

Summary: An emotional and intellectually stimulating biography
Review: As a wrestling fan for some years(about 17) this book brought back more than memories. It also opened my eyes as to exactly what it takes to become a wrestler. Although Mick's is an exceptional case, his hard work and dedication led him to superstardom. It shows his intensity and love for wrestling in helping him achieve his goal. He endured a lot in his early struggles breaking in such as sleeping in his car, not getting paid for wrestling, countless injuries and the promotions went under a lot of the time. His struggle is amazing as his family has stuck by him even though they have sometimes been afraid for his life in some of his matches. This book will make you laugh, make you cry, and definitely make you have a whole new prospective of wrestling. It is a must for wrestling fans and non wrestling fans of all ages

Summary: If you read one wrestling book this year...
Review: I recieved this book as a joke, but started reading it and it was actually good! I'm probably the one non-wrestling fan who has read this book, but hey, if there's another one of us out there and you happen upon this book, it is more entertaining than you might imagine.
