Summary: The Best Book Ever
Review: Mick Foley: Hard-Working, Dedicated, Loveable, Hugable, Best Damn WWF Champion ever. This book will have you crying, laughing, and feeling his pain all at once. His crazy antics made fans across the world fall in love with Mankind, with Dude Love, with Cactus Jack and make them scream for more. This book recalls Mick's own life starting with the match with Vader that cost Foley his ear. It continues to tell what he did before wrestling and how he got to the number 1 spot in the WWF. It ends by saying "Read the Rock's Damn Book." Also, along with harmless jabs at his friends outside the squared circle, he continulously makes fun of Al Snow even though they are the best of friends. He describes how he respects Steve Williams (Austin), The Undertaker, The Rock. It also has the famous Interview With Jim Ross (J.R.) and the famous Steel Cage Match with The Undertaker. If you don't have it, GET IT! And Have A Nice Day!

Summary: Probably the best book I have ever read
Review: A MASTERPIECE!

That's the quickest, most efficient way I can sum up Mick Foleys' book. I have read it all the way through three times already, and have gotten to the point where I don't even keep a bookmark in it anymore, I just open it up and start enjoying it. Absolutely my favorite book to read when there's nothing to do. Foley's stories are downright hilarious, and they are written with such a style that makes it enjoyable to the utmost extent! Hilarious anecdotes, metaphors, one-liners, and "Al Snow" jokes are peppered about the book and make it so enjoyable to read. I'll never forget the story of Jake "The Snake" Robert's "potent potpurri" in the hotel room, or the ribs that Foley and Steve Austin pulled on Dallas Page that made him so mad he erupted in a naked, cookie-tossing outrage!

Foley really goes in-depth here, as well. I feel like I know the man...I feel like I've known him for years, and I'm only 18! His tales are brutal, heart-warming, sickening, laughable, horrifying, and touching, and he interweaves them with the greatest of ease. This book made me appreciate Mick Foley for who his is, and not just for the characters he portrays.

Mick, if you ever happen upon this review, I would like to thank you from the bottom of my heart for writing this book and bringing me endless joy. This book is like a gift that keeps on giving; I could read it a thousand times over and it would still be a pleasure. Just thinking about the time spent writing this book to provide readers with sheer pleasure makes me appreciate Mick more than any author in the world.

Thanks, Mick.

- John

Summary: An amazing story by the best damn wrestler there ever was.
Review: As you know now, the Hardcore Legend is now retired, but this book is still as close to me as... well, me. I found a whole new person in Mick, and discovered the story of a man whose tales made me laugh, cry, and inspired me to prosper. I now feel like Mick and I were buddies since Pre-School. How will this book affect you? There's only one way to find out.

Summary: Foley is God
Review: How many times have we seen the slogan "Foley is God"? Well, we all know that Mick isnt God, but Mick is as close as you can get. This book is worth the read indeed, its big, fat and full of meat to sink your teeth into. Mick goes into detail about his teen years, the 'Dude Love' years, and shoots on a few people he has met along the years, including Ric Flair and Mil Mascaras. Worth the read, if not just for the funny stories Mick has to say. You dont have to be a wresrtling fan to enjoy this book, which is attratctive and colorful. My advice - buy it!

Summary: Reply of Crit.
Review: The very few criticisms of "Have A Nice Day: A Tale of Blood and Sweat socks" have become evident via the 500+ reviews of this literary work. Let me reply to the few criticisms that were evident:

A: The "Shane Douglas" Criticism - that Mick portrays Himself as a victim/hero all the time - bottom line, this is an autobiography. This is not third person. And it's also not gonna be impartial. It's going to be pretty one sided.

B: "Too Much Wrestling" argument. It is a wrestling book. About a wrestler. By that wrestler. It's going to include wrestling. Plus, remember, of those matches you read, that's about 1/100th of what he actually did. He is writing what stands out, maybe not what seems visually impressive.

C: "Wrestling is an ill effect". I am a wrestler. The first thing I get is that wrestling is bad for kids, makes them violent. It shows decline in our society. First reply is that societies decline. Second is that, if you say that, we're just fine. We want to see people bashed, bruised, hurt, impaled, and destroyed, but we demand it be a visual trick, by highly trained athlete's. And yes, unless you can say you can jump from 4.5 feet, jump off a suspended rope, flip one and a half times, land without killing yourself or another person, quiet. Romans through live humans to lions while eating what we could liken to like popcorn and beer.

D: "Written as a 5th Grader" Argument. - Does Foley look/act/sound like a literary genius? He's from long island for Gods sake, he's not perfect. :-) (Sorry Islanders. Go Rangers!) Foley writes like he talks, and thinks, most likely. He's human. Not a machine. Honestly, do you think Dion Sanders didn't have 15 proof readers? OJ Simpson? He's smart, he must have had none! Eh.

Foley's book is good reading, bottom line. Criticisms are few. You can read this and enjoy a genuine extraordinary human life. Thank God for this little bit of Honesty in biographic world of lies, usually.

Summary: Foley Rocks!
Review: This Strong Island native is one of the dopest dudes ever. If you have the testicular fortitude you will read this book. Its really great to read how this dude who looks just like a regular joe on the street can become the hardcore legend. Its sad to see that his career is over. Much better than the Rock's book. But we will always remember Cactus Jack

Summary: The BEst
Review: To be quite honest, I was never really a true Foley fan until i read his book. I had heard stories about the ear, and the death matches, but i never really cared. I went out and bought the book because it was wrestling, ive loved it all my life. But in just the month or so it took me to read it, and i saw the antics of Mankind play oout on tv with al snow, i began to not only have 20 times as much respect for the man, i also began to love him as well. No, not that kind of love, I feel closer to Foley now than I sometimes do to myy brother. Ive never met him, but i would love to. But all in all this is a great book, the best book ive ever read, and i suggest strongly reading it a 2nd time, i did, and i found some parts i must have missed over, ex: the masked debator was mick before dude love in the loved one i think, masked debator, if you look and read hard enough you can see a slight sexual reference.

I laughed, i cried, i had a nice day!

Mitch
