Summary: Foley is my hero --
Review: -- no lie. This book is an inspiration. From everything I've read, Foley is one of the most genuine and kindest people walking this earth. But he was a terror in the wrestling ring, mostly to himself. The injuries discribed in this book are gruesome, but Foley persisted despite having most of his body broken or burned or cut off. When he was finally retired from wrestling, I bawled like a baby, and so did all of the other guys sitting around watching the pay-per-view. Detractors of professional wrestling fail to see the human drama and emotion conveyed by performers, and no one wrestled with more heart and emotion than Mick Foley. This book captures the many sides of Foley, and is whole-heartedly recommended to wrestling and non-wrestling fans alike, so that all can understand the motivation behind the man and the business he loved.

Review: Having always been a great fan of the world of "Sports Entertainment" Mick Foley provides great insight to the world of Professional Wrestling. Mick tells all and what you read really does open your eyes as to the HELL these guys go thru on a daily basis as well as the HELL their bodies suffer as result to entertain all of us. It's a really fun book to read . . . I can't wait for my son to get old enough to read the life story of Mr. Socko ! HAVE A NICE DAY !

Review: you will take a journey through Mick Foley's exciting wrestling career. From his days in ECW as Cactus Jack to his amazing portrayl as Mankind in the WWF. You will learn about his first wrestling match as Dude Love and about his family life. I would defintely reccomend this book to all the Mick Foley fans!

Review: What can I say about this awe-inspring New York Times no.1 best-selling debut from wrestler Mick Foley. Unlike many auto-biographers, Foley teaches a lesson in humility and selflessness. His uphill struggle to reach the goals he was told were unreachable is truly inspirational. One of the most wonderful books of recent times. The writing style is fluid and intelligent, his description vivid and oft humorous. Everyone should own a copy.

Summary: Great book for fans and non fans alike
Review: Even if you are not a fan, this book gives a great in depth view of one of the greatest legends to ever enter the wrestling ring. Starting with his childhood, this book explores how Mic Foley entered the world of wrestling and it gives his thoughts and feelings on some of his defining moments, such as his "Hell is a Cell" match vs. the Undertaker, which is believed by many to be the greatest match ever. Foley also speaks of other classic matches like the exploding landmine match he was in. Even if you are not a big fan, you will enjoy reading about the pain and sacrifice Mic Foley gave to make it big in the business. If you are a wrestling fan, you will love this book.

Summary: I've read it over and over again and it never gets boring...
Review: I cannot thank Mr. Foley enough for giving the world this piece of literature. I bought a couple weeks after it came out, and I just keep reading and reading it. If I was on a desert island, and I had this book, I'd be happy. The only problem with this book is that because it became so popular, now other wrestlers that we really don't care about and who aren't nearly as interesting as Mick Foley are writing autobiographies. I mean, who wants to have the DDP autobiography on their conscience? I sure don't. But despite that, Mick Foley, thank you very much. You've done the world a favor.

Summary: it's a quick and interesting read. wrestling fan or not
Review: i read this book in a week and thats something i've never done before. so that should speak volumes for how good i thought this book was. it was also very inspiring. who thought mick foley actually was a smart man who went to college and that he never gave up on his dreams despite lacking many of the abilities needed to make it big. great book

Summary: A well deserved five stars
Review: Yep, he did it. I didnt expect anything less of great when I heard about Mick Foley publishing a book written by himself. When I sat down to read this 500 + page monster, I had no idea how much I would end up enjoying. Foley has done some incredible things in his career, and he writes about them beautifully in this book. Like I allways say, anyone who thinks there's no pain in wrestling? Make them read the back of the dust cover for this book. This is packed with great information, stories and experinces and it was just a great experince to read it. I was perticularly amazed with how well-done the Owen Hart chapter was. The problem with the Rock's book is that virtually all the second half of it was in-character rant. The first part of the book was great and packed with information about his history and family. But this is just page after page of flawless writing. This is one book that has *deserved* it's spot on the new york times listing.

Summary: A compelling autobiography
Review: "Have a Nice Day" is a book that will keep you interested until the end. As it says in the front flap, however, it is not for the squeamish. The first chapter is a brutally detailed account of how Mick Foley lost his ear. Be warned. Although not a work of Shakespeare, the book is quite comprehensible. His writing is laced with profanities, but chances are that any fan of wrestling has heard worse than what is in this book. Don't say that I'm stereotyping, because I am a huge fan. His manner of writing makes you want to laugh and to vomit at the same time. Before reading this book, I was not a big Foley fan. I came away from this book respecting Foley more than any other wrestler. He completely deserves his recent appointment to commisioner of the WWF, although his new haircut leaves something to be desired. If you are even a remote fan of wrestling, pick up this book pronto.
