Rating: Summary: A fan Review: Being a fan of Bernie Mac, I had to read this book. The book was ok, and I agreed with him for the most part. I especially liked the part when he was talking about the athletes, how when they fight, no one ever hit each other. Bernie might offend some when he talks about how bad the black family has got, but he's right. I would have liked the book better if he wasen't so vulgar.
Rating: Summary: Laughing at life when they say no Review: Bernie Mac has done an excellent job relating comedy to real life. Aside from the "I was so poor..." jokes he also offers more realizations from real life that most people can relate to and can laugh at. Beware to those seeking new material from Mr. Mac this book offers very little (especially if you have seen "The Original Kings of Comedy") this book will, however keep you laughing from cover to cover.

Rating: Summary: A Bad hammajammer of a book!!! Review: Bernie Mac's, "I Ain't Scared of You" is a very good read. I set down and read it in one evening and recommend it to everyone.(...)
Rating: Summary: Poor organization. Review: I agree, the book is put together poorly. There were a few jokes that I wanted to go back and read, but it's too much of a hassle to find them, and all the chapters read the same, with many of the jokes repeating. ...pretty funny, but not worth the [money]they charge here.
Rating: Summary: on Point Review: I have alot of Respect for Bernie Mac.the Guy has been around for quite a while but just has been noticed by the Mainstream over the past few years.this Book hits on alot&is straight to the Point.I'm not crazy about His TV Show because of the Limitations of Network TV but the Guy is Cool.I Enjoyed this Book.
Rating: Summary: Bernie Mac could have put together a better book Review: I have been a big long time fan of Bernie Mac for many years now but this book is a disappointment.Bernie Mac has a great show on Television every week as well as some great movies but this book is not what I expected Bernie Mac to put out.The sentences in this book are put together like they are from a little kid just learning how to use english for the first time.Bernie Mac is still an Original King of Comedy and I will continue to be his fan and support him but this book is just flop he will have deal with in his career.
Rating: Summary: Terrible! Review: I listened to this as a book on tape, read by the author. I liked Bernie and looked forward to listening to this. However, after the first few chapters I was bored out of my mind and after a few more, I was disgusted by his language and detailed references to sexual acts regarding his daughter. Of the four CD's, by number three, I threw the CD's in the garbage where they belong! I didn't laugh once - not even a chuckle. Spend your money on something more valuable - like dirt!
Rating: Summary: Living out loud Review: I listened to this item on audio cd and it was great. There is nothing better than hearing the story of his life as it is told by the author himself. Bernie tells it like it is and the reader can't help but get caught up in the experiences as the story unfolds into a tell of "The world accourding to Bernie Mac". As you listen to this audio you will feel as if you are at the dining table talking story with your good friend. Bernie talks about his life as a child, his marriage, sex, money, his friends, and it extends all the way up into his career in comedy. There is much humor and you will be laughing from beginning to end of this audio.
Rating: Summary: I t Was Given As A Gift Review: I purchased this book for a friend on her birthday. She read it cover to cover in 2 days and told me how wonderful it was. I eagerly anticipated reading this book, until I opened it. I am far from a goody goody, however I was unable to get past the cursing. I have seen the Kings of Comedy in person several times, however seeing his 'routine' in print was too much for me. This book should come with an explicit content label, or an option for a 'clean' version. I was unable to finish the first chapter.
