Summary: Very bad even by Clark's standards.
Review: Without a doubt the worst mystery story I have read in years. Its amazing that it took two people to write something this infantile and uninteresting. Mary Higgins Clark has been on a downward spiral for years, but this is a new low. The story is boring and most people will be so far ahead of the plot that its not even worth finishing the book. With so many young writers unable to break into the business its a shame that the old guard can churn out garbage like this and still be on the best seller list. Shame on you Mary and Carol for selling this kind of junk to your fans.

Summary: Beware of rugs and heels
Review: Once again Clark has written a fun holiday story. I epsecially like how the two authors merge their two characters. What a great idea. It really works well and the two characters are the perfect ones to combine. Petey is an interesting character and he reminds me of Forrest Gump when he jumps off the boat to see Lt. Dan. I loved this book. I think the collaboation was a big success.

Summary: Waste of time
Review: Anytime Ms Clark uses Elvira in her book, the story is written on a level for a teenager. The character Elvira reminds me of the Nancy Drew/Hardy Boys series of years ago. VERY AMATEUR & BORING. Certainly not up to par with Ms Clarks' other works. Dont waste your time, unless you are a teenager.

Summary: Quick Easy Read
Review: For a fast interesting read, I would choose this novel. Let me add that it is a little predictable. I have read (I think all) of Mary Higgins Clark's books, and this was my least favorite. I haven't read anything by Carol so didn't know what to expect. But for a good fast litttle novel its pretty good.

Summary: A pleasant seasonal read for planes, trains & automobiles -
Review: - a holiday book to read while on the way to grandma's house.

This Clark & Clark effort is "Thriller Lite." It's a familiar and enjoyably airy see-through piece (like Divinity candy:)good - but no real mystery.

Summary: An fascinating mystery
Review: Deck the Hall is a fascinating mystery that is set around Christmastime. Mary Higgins Clark and her daughter, Carol Higgins Clark, puttogether their writing techniques to come up with a thrilling mystery.....This is my first Mary Higgins Clark book and though I wasn't quitesatisfied I wasn't disappointed. Even though it was a short book thatdoesn't quite fulfill like it should, it is a good book for a rainyday and keeps you interested. I look forward to reading better MaryHiggins Clark books in the future.

Summary: Dynamic Duo Decks The Halls
Review: In their first joint effort, the perennially best selling Mary Higgins Clark (All Through the Night, Before I Say Good-Bye) and daughter Carol Higgins Clark, herself an up-and-coming author (Iced), create a winning detective duo by teaming up favorite characters from their own respective novels.

Christmas is looking not so merry for Luke and Nora Reilly. First, Mrs. Reilly trips over a rug and breaks her leg, ruining a planned family trip to Hawaii. Then, while she is recovering in the hospital, Mr. Reilly and his spunky chauffeur Rosita are kidnapped and held for $1 million ransom. What the bad guys don't know, however, is that the Reillys' daughter Regan is a savvy private eye. Enlisting the help of Alvirah Meehan, an amateur detective, Regan sleuths her way to solving the case, but not without encountering a few twisting setbacks along the way.

At the risk of flickering any MHC's long-burning fans, I feel I need to point out some plot devices do run a tad thin here and there, hey, I'm being honest -- the kidnapping scheme is , well, let me just say,I think Rudolph the red-nosed you-know-what could sniff out the clues. All in all, this ho-ho-ho story makes for an entertaining, Christmas or anytime read treat.

Summary: Good, Light and hits the Spot.
Review: Having read most of both Author's works, I have to say that the combo works. Carol adds just the right amount of humor ..

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: A Good Light Thriller
Review: A good Christmas thriller from the author we've come to expect them from. Not the heaviest writing, but entertaining nonetheless, and with all the straightforwardness of plot that is typical of her work. Granted, this consistency can produce a bit of predictability, but its hard not to be caught up into it anyway because of the interesting beginning. Don't expect too much and you'll be pleased.

Summary: A Moment Away From Holiday Madness
Review: If you are looking for a moment away from Holiday Madness, this book does its job. The characters are fun and a bit too surreal to be taken seriously, or to worry over, but The Clark Ladies still give a good read.
