Summary: Great Mystery Thriller
Review: Another great page turner from this gifted writer.

Rating: 2 stars
Summary: Good plot idea
Review: Carol (no relation) Higgins Clark is no match for her mother. This was a good idea for a plot, but very badly written. Characters are shallow and dialogue totally predictable. Everything falls conveniently into place with no subtlety whatsoever.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: A READING SPICED WITH DASHES OF DANGER
Review: Carol Higgins Clark gives authentic voice to Regan Reilly, an intelligent, quick, young woman with a penchant for solving crimes. Regan is in the Big Apple for a crime conference put together by her celebrity author mother when she is contacted by a friend, Thomas Pilsner, who desperately needs help.

Pilsner is president of the Settler's Club on Gramercy Park. Two members of the club who had promised to salvage the failing club with healthy monetary gifts are found dead. Regan to the rescue.

She casts her inquiring eyes on other tenants in the building, such as Lydia Sevatura who runs a dating service from her apartment, and her butler, Maldwin Feckles who's a bit of an entrepreneur in his own right having just opened a butlering school.

Calling on boyfriend and mystery writing mom for help Regan does, of course, solve the mystery. Nonetheless, readers are kept guessing until the last pages.

Fleeced, very much like protagonist Regan Reilly, is both urban and urbane - an entertainment spiced with outre characters and dashes of danger.

Summary: Kudos!
Review: Carol Higgins Clark has done it again! This was a fast, easy and very good read. I can't decide who is better-Carol or Mary. Between the two of them, the hits keep coming! Keep up the great work! And please, write faster!

Summary: I love it, I love it, I love it!
Review: Carol Higgins Clark has done it to me yet again. She's penned another Regan Reilly mystery that had me up until my eyes began watering because I was so tired. But "Fleeced" seemed to be Krazy Glue'd to my hands. I read this in two settings. I must once again compare Carol with Agatha Christie, for the sole purpose of informing readers just how tight and crisp Clark's plots are. She sets you up, as always, with Regan Reilly being with her mother and father, or her boyfriend, Jack "No-Relation" Reilly. They might be going to an event together, they might be on vacation, or whatnot. But murder and danger seem to follow poor Regan wherever she goes. And Agatha Christie is so much the same way. Hercule and Miss Marple always seemed to be pleasant enough in the beginning of a new book or story, that is until a corpse fell into their respective laps. I just love Carol Higgins Clark's Regan Reilly series! She makes those convoluted, difficult plots seem so easy to create!

Summary: Laughable
Review: Carol Higgins Clark thrives off her famous mother's name. She completely expolits the well-known "Higgins Clark" to sell her books, which are to say the least, trash.

Fleeced was a waste of time.. and it was a VERY quick read. The dialogue is dumb and predictable, the characters under-developed and shallow, and the plot is almost non-existent. This book lacked any suspense and was very, VERY slow. One particularly laughable part was when they discovered who the killer was.

"Oh my god!" cried Regan.
"Oh sweet Jesus!" yelled Clara.

Dear Lord, what a ridiculous piece of trash this book was.

Please, Carol. Go back to your acting.. unless you're as good an acress as you are a writer. You will never reach your mother's caliber in writing.

Summary: Regan Reilly's long-awaited return engagement
Review: Finally, a new Regan Reilly mystery has hit bookstore shelves. Carol Higgins Clark never fails to please, and she has done just that in her newest release, FLEECED. In keeping with the lighthearted yet literate tone of her previous novels, Carol has set Regan on the trail of a cold-blooded killer, this time on the streets of New York City. She has also included a great new character, Jack Reilly, now Regan's boyfriend, previously introduced in last year's holiday collaboration with her mother (Mary Higgins Clark), DECK THE HALLS.
Again filled with colorful characters and even more colorful names, FLEECED is one mystery faithful followers as well as mystery lovers should be sure not to miss.
