Summary: Good "Poolside" Read
Review: Vivid characterization occupies much of Roberts' Homeport, yet a lack of nuance that indicates depth of character is this reader's lasting impression. Oftentimes the characters turn unattractively predictable and even trite. However, it is a good summer read and should be placed in your "mind candy" stack. The plot satisfies, (although it would not have suffered with a bit more suspense and urgency), the discussion of art and breaking into heavily guarded museums proves interesting, and, of course, the romance factor is always a great summer poolside friend. Overall, it was enjoyable, but I wouldn't go in expecting anything more than a light mystery (term used very lightly here)/ romance.

Summary: The chemistry between the characters could singe the page.
Review: This story will grab you from page one. The loveless background, the unanswered ache for some thing more in her life, the need to be loved and cherished by the right man, the need for love. All of these are the ingredients for a classic story of thrills, chills and a whole lot of loving. From the beginning to the end it will enthrall you, entice you, make you laugh, make you cry, and make you shiver with dread. The motions are so vivid that you feel you could actually see them in front of your eyes not just on the written page. An excellent choice of characters in Miranda and Ryan. Just the right touch of vulnerability and strength, pride and insecurity, ability to love and need to be loved. It was a wonderful read from beginning to end.

Summary: A GREAT READ... AS ALWAYS !
Review: Fans of Nora Roberts will not be surprised at how much they will enjoy "HOMEPORT". It is Ms. Roberts at her best. Detailed without being tedious, we are brought into the world of priceless art , theft, and forgery. Dr. Miranda Jones and Ryan Boldari are a match made in heaven; feisty, witty, sharp, and falling desperately in love with the turn of every page. Nora Roberts has long been a favorite, and I eagerly await each release. Not only will you find the escapism most often sought in romantic fiction, but an educating overview of the various subject matters that form the bases of her novels. She gives her reader the chance to slip into the character's world, and watch the story unfold. HOMEPORT does what all Nora Roberts books do... keep you hanging for the next volume to hit the shelves ! THANKS NORA !!!

Summary: Very Good
Review: HOMEPORT is a very interesting page-turner. It's to be recommended. It's the best thriller I've read since Craig Furnas's THE SHAPE. HOMEPORT is intelligently constructed, well-written, and I wish I had it to read again for the first time.

Summary: This is a MUST READ book. Put it at the top of your list!
Review: EXCELLENT! EXCELLENT BOOK! It took me longer to read this book than usual because I DID NOT WANT TO MISS one little detail. The build up of Ryan and Miranda' personalities, family background, and love in the story was really thrilling.Hope Nora Roberts will write another book like it. For those of you who love Karen Robard's strong males, this book will tantalize you as much!!

Summary: Nora Roberts is a master of romantic suspense!
Review: I am an avid fan of Ms. Roberts' work and have been for many years. While this may not be her best book (e.g. I liked Sanctuary and Honest Illusions better) it is still a good read. Ms. Roberts' strength is her character development and she can't be beat when it comes to writing great dialogue. (I think she'd be a great screenwriter!) But what I like best about her books (and Homeport is no exception) is that she has an uncanny abliity to get the reader inside of her character's heads. If you are a Roberts fan, you won't be disappointed. If you've never read any of her books, you should.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Yet another winner-- from the one and only Nora Roberts
Review: I've yet to read a Nora Roberts novel that doesn't rank above 10...and Homeport is no exception. Nora Roberts once again provides her readers with a beautifully written escape... deep characters and intense emotion. Nora continues to surpass even her highest standards.
