Summary: Very Intriging!
Review: This was a very intriguing read. However, not my favorite Nora Roberts book it was interesting and kept you attention with the vivid and realistic characters she creates.

Dr. Miranda Jones is a specialist in Renaissance Art and is called to Italy by her mother to authenticate a bronze statue called "The Dark Lady", thought to have been created by Michelangelo. Dr. Jones loves her work. She is one of the Jones's from Jones Point. Her work involves artwork, not prints or copies but the original artwork. Arriving home after a lecture she is deeply disturbed when someone steals her bags and slashes her tires. After verifying that the statue is indeed authentic, Dr. Jones is blamed for a media leak and is sent back to Maine.

Someone else does tests to see if the bronze is real and it leaks out that it is a fake. Dr. Jones reputation comes into question and she denies that it's a fake. Her brother, Andrew stands by her as she has stood by him time and time again. One day she goes to his office and meets the smooth, dark, handsome Ryan Boldari from Boldari Gallery. Right from the moment they meet unwanted sparks fly.
Later on a bronze is stolen, what Dr. Jones discovers about her smooth Ryan will shock her and lure her in deeper than she ever wanted to go, but something secretly inside her desires things she thinks she won't ever be able to have.

As Dr. Jones and Ryan track the true bronze, they quickly find themselves in serious jeopardy from an unknown killer determined to hide "The Dark Lady" and destroy Dr. Jones' reputation at any cost. But Dr. Jones and Ryan are not deterred and work together to recover the bronze and redeem Dr. Jones credibility.

This book was full of surprises, mystery, romance, and daring adventure as all Nora Roberts books are.

Summary: Not My Favorite
Review: Normally I can't put Nora Robert's novels down, but with Homeport I actually had trouble picking it up. Miranda Jones was just not a likeable character to me. She lacked depth, personality, and most of all heart. Now, I am used to Nora Roberts having strong female leads with some kind of chip on their shoulder and the "I don't need a man to make me complete" attitude, but Miranda didn't even play that off well. The rest of the characters in the book were just as boring and shallow. The only one that I really liked was Ryan Boldari, Miranda's nemesis and love interest. He actually had personality and a wonderful sense of humor. Besides the characters being lame, though, the plot jumped around a lot and some of the smaller stories weren't developed enough to be believable and/or even interesting. I will definitely still read Nora Roberts, but this won't be on my favorites list.

Summary: Exciting Romantic Novel - Highly Recommended
Review: Homeport is an exciting, intriguing romantic thriller that whets your appetite from page one. In this book Nora Robert's strengths are showcased really well - description that sets the scene and atmosphere, excellent characters and impeccable research.

The heroine of the book Miranda was very likeable. She was practical and intelligent and was a formiddable woman. I suppose she could be categorised as an 'ice maiden' but she also had a soft side and was only aloof due to neglect from her parents. The hero Ryan Boldari was as hot as his name sounds! He was witty, charming, and the perfect man to bring Miranda out of her shell. The only thing I didn't like about him was the fact that he was a thief - not because he needs the money
anymore, or is doing it for a noble cause, simply because he likes to steal and is good at it. At one point his mother even says that stealing is his god-given gift and it would be a sin not to use it! What ridiculous logic! Also, at one point it was
mentioned about how he burgled houses in the past and this made me shudder as there are few worse things than coming home to find your house ransacked. Therefore I try to blank this out of my mind when I read this book so that I still like Ryan.

The best parts of the book are when the couple travel to Florence and the hilarious and snappy dialogue that they share in between. The murder mystery is also good and there is a surprise at the end that I liked. Overall Homeport is one of my favourite Nora Robert's books and one I like to re-read. It goes without saying that the ending was romantic, but this one was very special indeed.

Summary: One of my favorites!
Review: I have now read several Nora Roberts books and this one sticks in my head as one of my favorites. The characters were well developed, I loved the thief, and the end really caught me by surprise. Great stuff.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Sexy, mysterious, elegant
Review: The romance is surprising, tender, and exciting; the story keeps you guessing until the last few pages. The drama and mystery make it seem more like a thriller than a romance novel, which make the romantic scenes even better when they show up. She is smart and independant; he is strong, clever, witty, and charming without being too rehearsed.

Summary: One Of Nora Robert's Best!
Review: This is a wonderful book. It has a bit of mystery and a lot of romance added to it. I really can't say much more about it other than that but I would recommend this book to anyone looking for a good read.

Summary: My favorite Nora Roberts to date
Review: I can only say that for a long time I depended on reviews to guide me in my purchases but after reading Homeport I realised sometimes you just have to go with your own guts. If I paid attention to some I would have missed out on what is simply a delightful and entertaining novel. This book should easily grab Hollywood's attention. The plot was grabbing and for me quite unusual yet believable. I agree that discovering who the killer was and the motives was well written but the end was a bit contrived. However, all in all I consider this one of if not my favorite Nora Roberts to date. I found the sub-story of Andrew (Miranda's brother) quite interesting and wished there was more coming from them. But please if you must err.....err on the side of buying this one.
