Summary: Baffeled by the "role model" relationship with Dr. Delaware
Review: I bought the audio book and must say it kept my attention and I was never bored. However having said that I would like to point out that I had the exact same thought as reviewer Kim Tan had which is how in the world could Lauren Teague possibly consider Dr. Delaware a role model when she saw him less than two hours in her life. That part was too far fetched for me and I kept wondering if something would come out later in the book to explain that. I can't imagine why he didn't at least have 5 or 6 sessions with her so that part of the book would make more sense.

Summary: A truly disappointing performance....
Review: I don't know what's with Kellerman these days. Each of his books, it seems, get worse and worse. Delaware is turning into a very tired character and the author's prose is tired to. Maybe it's time to give this protagonist a break and try to plough some new ground. A very disappointing performance. Too bad, because some of the earlier Delaware books were excellent.

Summary: Page turner
Review: As usual the book provides a wild ride into the reasons behind a murder. I have read all of the books Jonathan Kellerman has written and you begin to feel like you know the characters personally.

Summary: Did Jonathan Kellerman really write this book ??
Review: I was so disappointed in this book. I found it very hard to believe that Jonathan Kellerman actually wrote this book. I found it downright corny the way Alex Delaware was playing ace detective and kept just happening to be at the right place at the right time. The book seemed to have no "story" to it, as his always do. I got very bored reading one and a half pages of descriptions of what people were wearing, how their hair looked and on and on. I always enjoyed Kellerman's breif descriptions of people and places, but once again, this became downright corny.
I'm glad this was not my first Kellerman book, as I probably wouldn't try another one. I'm a dedicated reader of his and hope that this was just a fluke. Everyone's entitled to one bad book. Hope that was his first and last.

Summary: what is with the front cover of the jacket
Review: Is it me or is there something vulger with the girl(the way she is positioned) on the front cover. If other people see it another way pls post.

I'm a psychological suspense fan, and I thought this book went too slow. And for Lauren to look at Delaware (only after two sessions) as a role model is hard to swallow. My favorite is still Billy Straight.

Summary: Flesh and Blood
Review: Kellerman's worst. Very trashy, no story, difficult to finish. Alex has become such an ace detective that soon they can do without Milo. Very disappointing compared to previous Kellerman novels.

Summary: The Author of Unusual Destiny Says: Deliciously Plotted.
Review: During his days of private practice, psychologist Alex Delaware remembers one haunting failure; a beautiful but troubled teen, Lauren Teague. When Alex next happens upon Teague, she's a gorgeous grownup in an X-rated profession. The last time he sees her, she's a corpse.
The 'would have, could have, should have' of Guilt drive Delaware, now a consultant to LA courts and cops, to pursue her killer.
Kellerman's readers are in for one wild ride as Alex interviews the players involved in LA's cash and carry sex trade, the psychology department of the university he once attended and Lauren's dysfunctional friends and family, many of whom also turn up dead - soon after speaking to Delaware. With a list of suspects long enough to fill a small town phone book, Alex plunges into the dark depths of seduction, deception, blackmail and greed to narrow the field.
On the sidelines, Delaware's longtime companion, Robin can't take another night of worry and makes a hasty exit. We wait until the final scene to see if this relationship becomes the final casualty in a well told tale of psychological suspense.
Another first rate offering from Jonathan Kellerman.

Summary: Flesh and Boring!
Review: This is absolutely one of the worst books I have read this year. I can't believe I wasted my money on it! The plot line is awful, and the story has way to many characters. You really don't like any of them, and can't wait for the next one to get murdered. The ending was vey predictable. Don't waste your money on this one.
