Summary: Sound Principles
Review: Dr. Walton offers sound principles of human behavior. This is not pop-psychology in the sense of trying to provide "do-it-yourself" techniques for the purpose of undermining the role of formal therapy. Dr Walton is conscious that some human issues require time under the guidance of a licensed clinical psychologist in order to resolve the issues.

This CD is offered not as a replacement for therapy, but as an inducement to get therapy or as a supplement to therapy. I believe it can also serve as an educational tool in that the introductory discussion offers excellent information on how anger works.

Dr. Walton has been trained in all the classical therapeutic procedures and analytical theories. His approach is selective of that education based on years of successful practice.

In the United States, many people who need professional quidance have been taught to fear psychology. Indeed, institutions threatened by the existence of psychology have done damage to their members by claiming psychology is useless and/or evil. This CD is particularly useful for that group in that it serves as a calling card to therapy. Dr. Walton would be most please if this CD became a bridge for individauls to get help.

Dr. Walton's CD on anger is simple but sound, non-threatening but challenging.

It is well worth the money even for those who are currently engaged in formal therapy as reinforcement for the work they are doing or for those who have fininshed a round of therapy and need a booster shot.

Anger is basic to human existence. We need to understand anger in order to learn how to use it for the enhancement of life, not for the destruction of life. These principles apply not only to individuals, but also to groups and even nations.

This CD is a gem.
