Rating: Summary: Tightly written and a thriller until the end! Review: This was my first Nina Reilly book and I admit I picked it up because of its setting; Lake Tahoe. I thought the book was written, definitely well researched and a wonderful, suspenseful read. I will be searching out the other four books and greatly anticipating the next book. Congrats to the very talented sister writing team!
Rating: Summary: ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC..THE BEST YET! Review: This was the best Nina Reilly story yet. I am anxiously awaiting the next one. I thrive on mysteries and this is a great one.
Rating: Summary: Was it a Skiing Accident or MURDER?! Review: Tragedy strikes Tahoe. Jim and Alex Strong, brothers of the prominent Paradise Ski Resort family, set out for a friendly ski race. Alex fell over a cliff. Jim himself narrowly escaped death. The coroner says the death of Alex Strong was no accident. Jim is the number one suspect. The defendant hires Nina Reilly. In her heart, she believes Jim is innocent, but is puzzled by the Strong family's reaction. They want nothing to do with him. "Acts of Malice" follows Nina Reilly as she tries to get to the bottom of the case. She complicates matters herself by renewing a past romance with Collier Hallowell--the prosecutor in the Jim Strong case. Nina is a dedicated lawyer with a good heart. She believes her client is innocent. Unfortunately, when she discovers the truth about Alex's death, such devotion might cost Nina her life. Will the case be solved? Are Nina and her family in danger? The stunning facts are revealed in "Acts of Malice." When it was released, this sixth installment in the Nina Reilly series was a Main Selection of the Mystery Guild and rightfully so. Pamela and Mary O'Shaughnessy, writing under the pen name Perri O'Shaughnessy combine their talents to provide readers with a great story set in the snowy Lake Tahoe area. Nina Reilly is a refreshingly normal character. She's smart, pretty and kind, but not so perfect that she's fake. The romance scenes blend nicely into the story and have a sense of purpose rather than being added just for the sake of sex. Suspense abounds from the beginning of the novel to the end. Fight the urge to read the last page first. Let the conclusion stun you. As mentioned, there is a series of books featuring Nina Reilly. O'Shaughnessy doesn't provide much background information from the previous installments, but you should have virtually no trouble beginning the series in the middle. Consider "Acts of Malice" to be an ideal vacation read. O'Shaughnessy knows how to please picky readers. Read this novel and you'll be going back for more, guaranteed.
Rating: Summary: An excellent tale of psychological suspense with love story! Review: Well written, a quick read. The court drama and mystery of her client keeps you, but what is truly unforgettable is the story with Nina & Colin, a must read.
Rating: Summary: Cliche Review: With a Perri O'Shaughnessy novel, one can rest assured that two heads are definitely better than one! The Nina Reilly Series introduces the reader to Nina Reilly, the new kid on the block just trying to survive, not only in her chosen profession of the law, but in her family life as well. Throughout the novel Nina's experiences are believable, complicated and life altering. I totally enjoy all the characters in the book lending support to Nina and one in particular, Nina's -- more than just a secretary - Sandy - who somehow seems to help Nina keep afloat. Additionally, the series shows compassionate writing with a closeness for family and friends. Repeat characters are a favorite read for me and when I pick up one of the Nina Reilly series, it's like have old friends in the house, a little older and a little wiser with each book and each situation but the same dedication and loyalty. The authors have a a true knack for realistic story telling and realistic conclusions. I thank the authors.

Rating: Summary: My First O'Shaughnessy Novel & My VERY LAST! Review: You have got to be sooo bored to read this book. This is my first time I have read a novel by these two sisters and I was not impressed at all. I like the character Nina Reilly a lot, but the plot is so SLOW! The O'Shaughnessy sisters could have had this book be about 275 pages instead of 448. Instead of getting right to the plot, half the time the book is about Nina meeting another lawyer named Collier and getting married in one book. That is not that bad, but this lawyer is the prosecutor on the case against her! GIVE ME A BREAK! Instead of getting to the mystery of the sisters, the authors talk about the secretary's relationship problem and another old woman who has a problem concerning divorce. It just goes on and on! Too Slow for me! No more O'Shaughnessy for me!
