Rating: Summary: More Artemis Fowl Please Review: I first was introduced to Artemis when I was 12. I found the first book a little hard to get into and read the beginning twice so as to understand all that was going on. "The Eternity Code" is much different. It is fast-paced, the characters are more likable, and you really get drawn into the book. From the very beginning I didn't want to stop. It was exciting, interesting, and intriguing. Until the very end you are caught up in a world with fairies, goblins, unicorns, and trolls. It ends surprisingly with Artemis more like his arrogant self in the first book, than with his new more honorable self in the third. And the very end, well it leaves you wanting for much more Artemis Fowl.
Rating: Summary: Decent Review: On a scale of 10, I would rate the first book a 9, the second book a 7 and this book a 6 (but lean toward 4 stars instead of 3). This book seems a bit rushed and thrown together. Not as creative as the other two and not as easy to read. We get the usual characters and it gets pulled off pretty well. Still, I would only read it after reading the other two.
Rating: Summary: Artemis Fowl The Eternity Code Review: Artemis Fowl, Eternity Code By: Eoin Colfer Reviewed By J. Poupongtong Period: 6"Artemis Fowl,The Eternity Code" is a great book for ages 10-13. It gets complicated at first, but then it starts to clear up. This book is about a thirteen year old boy who has a family record of criminals. His father has a serious injury that can only be healed by Holly Short, a lep officer. The lep is an underground organization that is made up entirely of fairy creatures. The healing that Holly Short performed changed his father's personality and made him care less about his stocks and more on his family. Artemis is changed by that and is about to go straight just after he pulls of his biggest crime yet. This crime started when a meeeting with Jon Spiro, an american industrialist and also head man of Fission Chips, a stock company that is only trailing Phonetix. They were arguing about the C-Cube, a micro computer that Artemis made out of stolen Lep circuits. This argument ended when Arno Blunt, Spiro's bodyguard, shot Butler, Artemis's bodyguard. Butler was in need of a healing and Artemis called Holly Short for the healing. The healing toook some life force from Butler, making him about 50 years old. Now the quest is on to get back the C-Cube, but Artemis will need backup. Aided by only Mulch Diggums, a dwarf, Holly Short, an elf, Butler, Butler's kid sister Juliet(who is also training to be a bodyguard), can Artemis get back the C-Cube? I liked this book a lot. You can see that this is clearly an adventure book. But this is also a science fiction, comedy, and action book. So you can also see that this book has many genres. This book's dialog is also funny. When Artemis says that quote" I'm here because this odious little man threatened to crush my skull between his teeth" is one of the funniest and smartest jokes that I have heard in all the books that I have read thus far. The dumbness of pex and chips, two bodyguards working for Blunt is also very humerous. When Chips said" Wanna know why they call me chips" and pulled out a bag of chips AND pex didn't know why chips was called chips was very funny. Also this books has a very high level of vocabulary. The system that I've read at Fission Chips is very advance. Also, the vault that keeps the cube has five diffrent defences. There are a weightsensitive, thumbprint, voice, and eye scans. Also they have live security in an air tight room. My favorite part was when Holly was trying to subdue four goblins. Eoin Colfer making the goblins have the ability to know how to launch fireballs was very suspending. The lep have a wide variaty of weapons including a Nutrino 2000, a nonleathal handgun, and a camfoil, an invisability cloak. My least favorite part was when Butler almost died. That part was also very suspending. I'm waiting for the fourth book and if you read this book, I think that you would to.
Rating: Summary: The C Cube Review: Artemis Fowl the Eternity Code Eoin Colfer C. Hannum P.5 After Artemis rescues his father from the Mafiya, and his father recovers from his "sergery", he tells Artemis that he changed over the period of time that he was gone, and that the Fowl family should give up their live of crime. Artemis is willing to obey is fathers request, after one more crime. He must recover the C Cube(fairy technology) from Mr. John Spiro(the world's most wanted crminal, after Artemis) because Spiro is trying to crack the code of the C Cube while Artemis plots with the fairies how to get it back. This book was a good book because of the suspense. You'll want to keep reading this book until you are so tired, you fall aslep with the book open. After one proble is solved, another begins, so this book is never dull. Artemis will never give up, even during the most horrible situations. Holly(a fairy helping Artemis)is willing to do anything to help Artemis get back the C Cube because if someone finds out about the fairies, they will probaly have to go to war with the humans, and the faries don't want to wipe out the human race. Artemis and Holly show great amounts of bravery to each other even though they used to be worst enemies. My favorite part of the book is at the end when Artemis and the two others (his Butlers) that know about the faries must be mind wiped. Artemis tries to convince the faries that he might do the same thing, but the faries won't listen. After Artemis wakes up after his mind wipe, he finds green lenses in his eyes, and he tries to know how they got there.
Rating: Summary: Don't turn around; reconnaissance in town Review: I'm not going to recap the plot since many reviewers have done that already. I didn't realize there was a second book, but having enjoyed the 1st and 3rd I'll definitely go back and check it out .... When I read the first book I kept comparing it to Harry Potter--after getting through the third I realized that it skews one's take on the Fowl books to compare it to Harry Potter because it's really not like those books other than involving some magic and an adolescent boy. This book was a high-tech crime adventure, stil adhering to the Fowl Rules of Magic, but not entrenching the reader in a compelte magical universe as do the Potter books. (Come on, you've said Alohamora when you've unlocked a door) Whereas the Potter books are set in modern times but retain an old-fashioned fairy tale quality (quills for writing, anyone? I'll take my muggle computer) whereas Artemis's modern world is more like that of "Misson Impossible." So forget about Harry Potter and his world for a moment..... This book seems to have more sophisticated humor, social commentaries and pop culture references, and characterization than the first. I'm looking forward to reading the 2nd book and seeing what I missed.

In this book Artemis Fowl's father was held captive by Mafia for two years, and his father said that he should not commit any crimes. But Artemis Fowl want to commit one more crime. In conclusion this book is very good for ages 10-13. I myself like the book and all the others because it is so amazing with all these cool things. It is a good book.

Rating: Summary: A Good Ending Review: This is the third book in the series. Basically, Artemis'(one of the main characters) C cube is stolen. He has to fight for it with a little help while having to sneak around behind his parents' backs. I really liked this book, but it was a little too predictable for my tastes. It was a great ending to a good series.
Rating: Summary: The best yet Review: It's definately the best book in the series yet. Colfer builds an imaginative plot based on the C cube made from stolen fairy technology. When it is cleverly stolen from Artemis he and Holly team up to revive Butler and steal back the C cube, with help from Mulch the dwarf and a few other friends. They plan a scheme that just might work. This book is a real page-turner.I would reccomend it to anyone.
