Summary: Giant peaches? Overgrown insects? What's next?
Review: Who would have thought that a peach could be so much fun? Whowould have thought that insects could be such nice friends? Who wouldhave thought that in a matter of a few days you could live a whole adventure? Roald Dahl did, and put it all together in this book I know most children will love.

Summary: Thanks to my elementary school teacher...
Review: If I could recall one event from my entire elementary school career that left an indelible impression it would be my second grade teacher reading James and the Giant Peach to our class. I absolutely loved this book, because it was so imaginative and created such wonderful imagery in my mind. I am forever grateful to my teacher for introducing Roald Dahl's collection of books to me!

Summary: One of the best books I have ever read!
Review: Me being an adult I was skeptical if I would like it. I had always liked Dahl as a child and this is the only one I had never read, so I bought it and loved it! It is not only a book for kids, but for anyone who is a kid at heart. I highly recommend it to anyone of any age.

Summary: The only thing I liked about 2nd grade
Review: I recall my second grade teacher as being particularly cold and icey, but if there is anything that I recall from her that I liked, it was her reading of James and the Giant Peach. Her dramatics inspired me to later go into public speaking-- whenever I start getting too familiar with my material, I go and read this book, envisioning her drama. The book lends itself to dramatics and the envisioning of BIG creatures, and the story plot left us hanging on and being good so that she'd read to us the next day. I even begged my parents to take me to school for "just 15 minutes, please?" when I had pneumonia that year. This book kept us spellbound!

Summary: All Kids Will Love This Book
Review: Imagine floating in an enormous peach. Your best friends are insects. Where would this lead you? I read the book James And The Giant Peach by, Roald Dahl. The book starts off when James Henry Trotter's parents are at the mall having a great time. A rhinoceros get loose at the local zoo. When the rhinoceros saw James' parents it rammed them and they were deceased. James was sent to live with his Aunt Spiker and Aunt Sponge. They treated him badly. They scolded him for no reason at all. One day James was sent to split some wood for the fire place in the middle of the summer. James was cutting the wood while his aunts sat on outdoor chairs scolding him. James began to cry and the aunts told him to go away from them when he cries so he went into the garden and sobbed. All of a sudden a short man with green clothes came up to james. He had a small brown paper bag. He told james to take the bag and pour its contents into a glass of water. Then drink it and you life will change. James was wondering what would change in his life. James turnedn around a looked at his aunts. He thought maybee he could get away from his aunts.
