Summary: Why bother when others do it so much better?
Review: Left Behind is a fairly decent series, but that's all. The writing is pedestrian and the theological concepts almost nonexistent. I could understand why people bought this series when it ws the best there was to offer, but now, with We All Fall Down, The Christ clone books, and Conquest of Paradise, all of which are simply much better books, why bother?

Summary: Greatly improved, and can hardly wait for #12
Review: Most of us have read this series from beginning to now, almost at the "Glorious Appearing"...

Tim and Jerry faltered a bit in style in the first few follow-ons but they finally achieved the happy medium needed for those who have never read the series and those of us who await each new volume.

The storyline was quick-paced and very interesting. I absolutely was enthralled with the ending. I am eagerly awaiting the 12th and final??? in this series.

Summary: There's a better series out
Review: Greetings,

As a Left behind follower I can attest to the fact that these books are dry. They have really started to milk us fans. But good news, there is an extremely exciting new trilogy out. It is called The Last gentile trilogy. The books are The Last Gentile, Deacon's Horn, and The Final Witness. These books are nonstop action, romance, and suspence. From what I can see the writer obviously did his homework. They are very factual and scary. These books seem to transend every area of life, and the science blended into the book gives the reader a real sense of the terrifying side of the tribulation. I highly recommend Left Behind fans pick these books up. I noticed that they have only been out a month or so and have already begun to climb the ... charts.

Summary: The Tribulation Force pays a heavy price
Review: All of the previous books in this series lead to the defining moment when Carpathian's army takes on the people of God in the Battle of Armageddon. The battle rages and the cost is high. Several members of the Tribulation Force who have been waiting for the Glorious Appearance of Jesus with great anticipation, are not allowed to live long enough to see it. This 11th. book of the series is more intimate (closely following the capture and imprisonment of a prominent character) and more compelling (with descriptions of the events leading up to and beginning the battle) than in the most recent books. The authors are not the best writers in the world, but they do tell an important story in terms that 21st. century people can understand. They seem to be meeting a need of the reading public because these books consistantly top the best-seller list.

Summary: a little slow
Review: Every book in the series I can't seem to put down, but this one, along with the past few, is running a little slow. Only one major thing is happening in this book.....things are dragging!! They only have a year left until the end, there's got to be more that could be happening?!?

Summary: Armageddon: Left Behind # 11
Review: I really love all the "Left Behind" books. But Armageddon is definately one of the best ones, and yes it is a cliff hanger. I was very surprised at many of the things that happened. I definatly recommend reading thesse books.

Summary: It Never Ends
Review: This series of books just keeps going on and on with no end in site. The story gets weaker and weaker with each book. When the authors started making money with the series they obviously decided to stretch the series out as long as possible to reap all the money they could. I've seen this happen to other series I've read, and they have taken what was a great start and instead of finishing it they put it on life support and let it turn into a vegetable. Do us all a favor and pull the plug!

Summary: Becoming a bit drawn out, but still good
Review: I have to agree with several reviewers here who have pointed out that this story is begining to feel a bit padded. A good story needs to make the reader feel as though they are being pulled along with it, and this is rapidly causing me to loose that sensation. Still, I find myself enjoying the story and curious about what will happen next, so the authors are obviously succeeding on some levels with this series. It might not be as compelling as Caldwell's We All Fall Down or several other quality novels that explore the same teritory, but if you've read this far, I'd recomend picking this book up.

Summary: Ready for the finale!
Review: ARMAGEDDON picks up where THE REMNANT left off, leaving us waiting for the glory of the Second Coming and the series to finally wrap up. I was a big fan of the series during the first several books. Although quite unrealistic in their approach, the Left Behind books present the tribulation in a serial form that is quite entertaining. But I'll have to agree with a number of other reviewers that the series has stretched on far too long, most likely to generate money. The past several editions have rehashed plot segments from previous books, helping to add text and pages to the newest installment. Certainly, they could have finished this series by now. If you're a fan of end times fiction, I suggest picking up the CHRIST CLONE TRILOGY. The plot's a bit more believable, and you only have three books to buy instead of twelve! Better yet is CONQUEST OF PARADISE which is only one book and presents the most realistic portrayal of the tribulation. CONQUEST OF PARADISE combines the page turning excitement of Left Behind with the technology and realism of IN HIS IMAGE, BIRTH OF AN AGE, and ACTS OF GOD. Readers would do far better to pick up these books instead. Since I've read this far, I'll most likely buy the last book in the series when it's released, but I'll do so skeptically. Despite this apprehension, I have to give ARMAGEDDON five stars because I like the genre, and especially this book which is one of the best in the series to date.

Summary: Good storyline, poor writing
Review: I believe the rapture, tribulation, etc. will happen, so it was interesting to read this series. However, I didn't really care for most of the characters; they were arrogant and just plain not likeable. I did read the entire series because I am interested in the end times, but it was poorly written. Many times I wasn't sure what the author was trying to say; I had to read the sentence a few times and still was unsure. I've read some other posted reviews here and am going to try The Last Gentile soon; am reading Quo Vadis now.
