Summary: Pure delight!!
Review: When I first read this book many years back, I loved it, and was sad for it to end when I finished reading it. I loved every single part of it...I simply couldn't put it down. Anne is such a character...you can't help liking her more and more, and wishing that she was your own "bosom friend" just as I did. While reading, I was transported back to that time, and I could just see Avonlea and Green Gables, the school which Anne studied in, and I could see Diana and Miss Stacy and Gilbert just as if they were my own friends.

I loved this book, and read it many times over again after I first picked it up, and it still delighted me. Lucy Maud Montgomery is a stunning writer, and I believe that she must have been like Anne, for no one could create such a realistic character and write everything that poured out of Anne's mouth...her made up stories, the things that she she thought of, her wild yet delightful imagination...all in all, Anne of Green Gables is one of the finest books I've ever read, and were ever written. I strongly recommend it to anyone, old or young. Everyone can relate to Anne and she could make you smile like she did for me.

Summary: How dare anyone give this less than 5 stars
Review: I'm 18 years old and I read my first Anne book when I was 8 after begging my mother to buy it for me. After that there were many trips to the library to read all the Anne Books and as many other LMM books as possible. I read them over and over, I read them out loud to my little sisters. Any time when I'm down I jusst get this book and read it and it does me a world of good. I mean, it is just so magical. There is something about the way LMM writes that makes you feel and live the story. I hated Gilbert, I cried when Matthew dies, I cheered Anne when once again she refused to talk to Gilbert, then I loved him. Every child should be encouraged to read this book, it is just the best childrens book ever which can be enjoyed by everyone.

Summary: The best "Anne" book
Review: This is my favourite in the "Anne of Green Gables" series. It's the last book before Anne loses most of her girlishness, and it also has the benefit of being set both in Avonlea and the new and interesting Kingsport. Reading this book makes me wish I could have gone to Redmond College a hundred years ago! It introduces a lot of new characters, but this isn't as irritating as in the later books (I still love those books though!). My favourite character is Phil Gordon- who avoids cliches by being beautiful, smart and funny but still likeable. The book is sad, funny and romantic but still realistic. Highly recommended for anyone!

Summary: A Timeless Story of Love and Triumph
Review: Anne-spelled-with-an-e has captured the hearts of thousands of young girls with her words and thoughts. I read it 10 years ago and have not put it down since. The purity of Anne's mind as she grows from a young girl to a loving mother through the series is a welcome change from the sensual lust depicted in so many romances written today. It is a story of romantic love come true in the best way because of Anne's undying true love of the world and all its beauty. The humor and tears are mixed equally and the words are not read as much as they are Lucy Maud Montgomery's paintbrush on the canvas of the reader's mind. A wonderful book for all who think the world could benefit from a little more innocence.

Review: This book is slow at the beginning, but after the first few chapters, it is pure delight.

Summary: THE BEST BOOK EVER WRITTEN!!!!
Review: Anne of Green Gables is a wonderful story for young people. We can sympathise with Anne and Gilbert and their ever-complicating friendship. After you read Anne of Green Gables you will want to keep reading about Anne's life. L.M. Montgomery is one of the rare authors who can make their sequels and companion books just as great as the book that hooked you in the first place.A DEFINATE MUST!!!

Summary: Great book!!!
Review: I started reading this book in 4th grade and I didn't like it. I read it again in 6th grade and then for Christmas my grandma got me the set. I was sooo happy! I've read all the books like a dozen times!

Summary: The most inspiring book I ever read.
Review: I have read Anne of Green Gables a thousand times. Anne presents young girls with a worthy role model. She's hearty, imaginative, dedicated to family, friends and school. Montgomerey takes the time to bring all those around Anne into vivid life. I always wished that I could be just like Anne and come through all of my troubles with her spirit and imagination. I highly recommend reading the rest of the series, especially the last, Rilla of Ingleside.
