Summary: Apollyon is riveting, with nail-biting suspense!!!
Review: I truly commend Tim LaHaye and Jerry Jenkins for all of the effort that they have put into this series. Apollyon is probably the most suspenseful of all the books thus far, and I can't wait until the next one comes out! They really cause you to evaluate your own relationship with Christ and make you want to go out and let the whole world know that "JESUS IS LORD" and that He loves them. It really grieves me to see so many Christians criticizing what these two brothers have done in preparing this series. So many people who might not ever pick up a bible will read these books & end up giving their hearts to Jesus. These books are more than Christian entertainment, they are an evangelistic tool. Praise the Lord!!!

Summary: Must read for believers or nonbelievers
Review: I'm getting tired of hearing the Catholics whine and moan about this series...along with the nonbelievers, and with those Christians saying it is scare-tactic evangelism. Well, obviously "nice" evangelism isn't working---so why not trot out prophecy to show you what will happen in the end times? If these books scare you about the end times, perhaps you should re-evaluate your beliefs...or lack of them.

I am of post-tribulation belief myself, but regardless, I have found the authors to be accurate at every turn. I have gone back and studied the scriptures and prophecy involved. It is as accurate as one can get without knowing beyond a doubt what is meant. So the reviewer who said it is an inaccurate translation of the propechy---well, unless you're God, how do you know?!

I found the series riveting, this book included. Scare-tactic evangelism? You betcha!! But it made me examine myself to be sure I know EXACTLY where I am going after my death! Kudos to the authors!

Summary: So what if I disagree? This series is still great!
Review: I think this probably the best book in the series yet! No wonder it's so popular! I don't agree with the authors' interpretations of Revelation since I'm Catholic (The book Born Fundamentalist, Born Again Catholic has a chapter in it that deals with the problems with this interpretation). However, it still is a great series anyway. And, no, it isn't trying to use "scare tactics" as some claim. After all, the authors are writing a book based on their interpretation of Revelation, so it isn't like they have a choice in how the story goes (as concerns the "scary" parts (the great earthquake, judgments, etc.). And as for those who think it has poor writing, I guess that's their opinion. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. Sure, these books lag at parts (what novels don't?), but overall I belive the writing is excellent. Those who wonder how people can write good reviews about this book, here's a hint: the bad reviews are the minority. Maybe, just maybe, it isn't the books that are the problem. If they are, then why are they so popular? It isn't like it's only people who believe these things think this series is great. Others who disagree (like me) still find the books great! If nothing else, they do get people to look to Christ. I can't wait till the next book comes out!

Summary: Pure trash!
Review: These authors give a bad name to true Christianity! I could write better prose when I was in third grade. Though I will admit the series has kept me turning the pages just to see what absurdity will happen next. Does anyone else see these books as anti-Catholic and anti-Semitic? I have read this series not as a true account of Bible prophecy, nor even as fiction, but merely as slightly interesting science-fiction.

Summary: Comedy in the midst of Tribulation
Review: I LOVED Apollyon! Of course I have LOVED the entire series. These authors are EXTREMELY talented.

One thing I really liked in Apollyon....yes, the tribulation is really getting worse now...However, they found a way to include some comedy in this book without compromising the seriousness of the entire situation.

I was "rolling on the floor laughing" when the 144,000 witnesses were screaming for the intrepreters to sit down because they could all understand.....and then I was laughing again when Nicolae came and they started screaming that they needed the interpreters again.

Yes...a lot of people who read this book are thinking...."poor dumb Hattie, she knows the truth and still won't accept it". But ...you know?...I can understand how Hattie might feel that she has gone too far to be forgiven.....she's wrong...but I can understand how she might feel that way..... Myself...I worry more about Chaim.....I mean ...think about this.....He pretty much believes everything the Tribulation Force is telling him is true now...he's just not ready to accept it.....BUT.....when all those locusts are trying to beat down your door....and instead of droping to your knees and getting saved right then, he just yells at them to keep the locusts away from him.....he's the one I worry about. :)

Summary: Once again the odds are the best!
Review: I dont know if anyone else feels the same way, but LEFT BEHIND was a great book that you just couldnt put down. Then came Tribulation Force that was extremely boreing. Next came Nicolae which was a even better book than LEFT BEHIND. Then the released soul harvest which was better that TF but deffinately not the best. Now they released Apollyon which again is the best I have ever read. The must switch authors between Jenkins and LaHaye, so whoever writes the odd number books needs to write the rest!

Summary: It was again incredable and I couldn't put it down.
Review: I thought it was very powerful and right on the money the way it will be in the end. It was electrifying how Revelation was brought to reality. I can't wait for the next one while I can't help hoping Hattie turns to Christ. I get excited when each person does turn to Christ.

Summary: intelligent and highly recommended to all!
Review: rivetting! couldn't put it down after getting started. definitely fiction but still true to biblical principles. it doesn't take a lot of education or extreme intelligence to get the message in this entire series. will i buy other books in this series? sure! i'm already waiting for the next one to come out and it hasn't been more than a week since i bought this one. highly recommend this one for any unbeliever you might know.

Summary: Horrible theology; scare-tactic evangelism
Review: These two authors have decided that the only way to push forth their biblically inaccurate pre-millenial, futurist viewpoint of Revelation is to make trashy "novels" which scare or turn-off seeking people and make like-minded Christians feel self-righteous. The cause of Christ has been stained thanks to these "books". And evangelism has been substituted for marketing and profit. Way to go Jenkins and LaHaye . . . at least they will have to answer for this when Christ comes again.
